“Ann has been a blessing for our family! She started watching our puppy when he was 10 weeks old every day until he was 7 months! She went above and beyond to teach him commands, play with him, make sure he was fed and took him on walks! She truly treated him like he was her own! I cannot recommend her enough! She is very knowledgeable about training puppies and I don’t know what we would have done without her help! She was a very positive influence on our puppies first months and he is very well behaved I believe because of her! We are truly going to miss her and I know our puppy is too!”

“Milo was super prompt in all communication and so warm and caring! He was on time with the meet and greet and all visits. I appreciate all the photos and notes while I was gone. My shy cat warmed up to Milo by the second visit. I trust him and will book with Milo again soon!”
About: We’ve loved and cared for animals our entire lives and have years of hands-on experience with dogs of different ages, sizes, personalities, and physical needs. That lifelong experience helped us create a home designed specifically for dogs’ safety and comfort, where we care for only one pup at a time so we can give them our full attention. With a fenced yard, lots of supervision, and very little time spent alone, your dog will enjoy a calm, loving environment filled with playtime, cuddles, and personalized care. Our daily routine is built around the dogs in our care. One of us is home most of the day, so your pup will have very little, if any, time alone. We provide regular potty breaks, supervised outdoor time in our fenced yard, play sessions, walks (if that’s part of their routine), and plenty of cuddle and relax time throughout the day. We’re happy to follow your dog’s normal feeding, sleeping, and medication schedule so their stay feels familiar, comfortable, and stress-free. We offer a calm, safe, and loving home for your dog while you’re away. We intentionally care for only one dog at a time, so your pup gets our full attention and a peaceful, stress-free stay (no crowded doggy sleepovers here!).
“Athena was great with my dog.. Ginger is very close to me and can be very nippy with new people. Athena was able to become friends with her. I felt very safe having Athena watch Ginger. Thanks again. See you soon.”

“Bill did such a great job taking care of our 14 year old Buddy! Communicated in great detail so we had no worries about how he was doing while away. Such a blessing to have someone who really cares for dogs and is shows! Thank you 🙏🏻”

“Kelena was exactly what we'd hoped for. Had a last minute cancellation for boarding our 2 dogs. Which left us in a panic. We had one week before our event, and to make it even worse, it was Memorial Day weekend. Rover sent a list of drop-in sitters to help. Kelena responded very quickly to our request. Had a very successful meeting, the dogs loved her! On the day of the event, she came at the appointed time, sent pictures of our dogs, so we knew she got in okay, and fed and watered them. So when we returned home, all was well. She's a gem, very good with our dogs. Will definitely use her service again.”

“Sarah is amazing with our kitties. We have worked with Sarah on several occasions. She is so caring, attentive and a phenomenal communicator. We feel so much better about leaving our kitties knowing they're in good hands with Sarah!”

“I booked same-day when I noticed an issue with my cats’ water fountain before my flight home, and Katie replied quickly that she could help! She fixed the fountain and even took extra time to give them wet food and some love and attention. I was so relieved knowing their fountain was working and that they would be good until I got home. Would book again!”

“Kathy was an amazing pet sitter for our dog Jack. She kept us informed and provided pics on every visit. Jack our 17 year old puppy was well taken care of and that gave us great peace of mind. We will definitely rebook with Kathy!”

“I recently worked with Alexandria to care for my cat, Juniper, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. She was incredibly professional and attentive, ensuring Juniper was well cared for while I was away. I returned to a happy cat and a house just as I left it. The communication was excellent, and I appreciated the thoughtful updates and photos. I highly recommend Alexandria and look forward to working together again in the future.”

“Heather O. Did an amazing job! I came home to a happy pup. She made sure to update the app each time she was there, take pictures and even take him for walks. I will be inquiring again the next time I am out of town!”

I have a modified automated cat feeder and a few smart home setups that I was worried would be too intricate to explain to someone else, but Heather handled everything perfectly; she absolutely went above and beyond! She was very responsive and sent lots of updates and pictures while I was away. I'm planning another trip soon and will certainly book with her again!

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Brighton stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brighton. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
