“Great sitter! Always communicative. Goes above and beyond to care for your pup. Examples: gives tips to help me as a new dog mom of a puppy, he let me know my puppy lost his first tooth and saved it for me, he noticed my pups nails were getting long and clipped them for me, etc. You won’t be sorry if you book him to care for your fur baby. :)”

“Amanda is amazing, reliable and over all a welcoming vibrant person. Fiona loves her. Over all Amanda goes above and beyond hospitality. We will definitely be using her in the future.”

“Kara was amazing to work with and took such fantastic care of my 2 kitties while I was out of town! It was clear they were well cared for and she attended to every detail! Communication was also very good!”

“I have a modified automated cat feeder and a few smart home setups that I was worried would be too intricate to explain to someone else, but Heather handled everything perfectly; she absolutely went above and beyond! She was very responsive and sent lots of updates and pictures while I was away. I'm planning another trip soon and will certainly book with her again!”

“Theresa took good care of our cats. She called when she had a concern and we appreciated her communication. We will definitely have her take care of our cats again.”
“Barb was absolutely PERFECT!! Her impeccable attention to detail, not to mention her TLC in her care for Kodi made my trip so much more enjoyable and stress free! I was also really impressed by her interest in answering all of my questions, while being responsive to ANY concerns I might have had. That pretty much handled ANY worries or concerns with regard to Kodi being alone without me for three days. I will definitely be requesting Barb again whenever I need a sitter any time in the future! Craig Marsden”

“William did a wonderful job caring for my cats. He was prompt each day; gave fun updates on the girls eating, play, etc; and made time to pet and play each day. He performed all daily activities I requested. Would highly recommend.”

“Melissa is such a wonderful person! Always send updates with pictures of your pet. She was so amazing when I had to make last-minute changes due to a business meeting. I will definitely keep her as a retainer!”

“If you have a large breed and need a sitter who actually understands how to handle big dogs, Al is your guy! He watched our girl Winnie and was absolutely fantastic. He is calm, confident, and incredibly reliable. Winnie took to him right away, and we couldn't be happier with the care he provided.”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for over 18 years now. I usually help family and friends when they go out of town. Pets are like family and should be treated as such and that is something I value in my care. I currently work a full time job. My daily and weekly work schedule are morning shifts and a few weekends, I can be flexible for the needs of your loved ones. If I’m in a clients home, I will do what the client says is most best for their loved one. I aim to make sure each pet is cared for and comfortable in their environment.

“Tara was a great help taking care of our cats! She sent tons of pictures and even my shy guy came out for her. I really appreciated her communication throughout the weekend we were away. I will definitely ask Tara to pet sit again in the future 😊 thanks, Tara!”

About: About Me I’ve been watching animals of all kinds for over 10 years. From dogs and cats to chickens, ducks, and even hedgehogs! I love and treat each and every one of them as my own. My Schedule I work as a registered nurse 3 days a week - this allows me more time to check in on your little love! *My clinicals are typically half days, so if there is a particular day I marked unavailable, please send me a message, we may be able to work something out.* My Home I live off of a private road on 1.6 acres. My backyard is completely fenced with plenty of trees and nature. This allows for a SAFE environment for your fur baby to run/exercise, play, and lots of sniffing for mental stimulation. What to Expect I treat all animals as my own and ensure play and exercise is part of our routine. I have also have two large dogs who love to play. Photos/videos and activity descriptions are sent regularly to ensure you feel connected to your fur baby! *please let me know if your fur baby has any special limitations at our meet and greet so I can do my best to accommodate them.* I love animals more than people, and will ensure to treat your little love like royalty! I’m a nursing student so I have a pretty open schedule aside from classes! I have a VERY large fenced back yard and two very friendly doggos who love to play! All play is supervised and (because of my nursing background), I’ll check your babies frequently to ensure no fleas, ticks, etc.
About: I love animals. I grew up with a German Shepard and horses and ponies. We had a Black Lab when my Children were school age whom we adored. I have had large dogs including Rottweilers, Black Lab, Shepard's, and Huskies and taken care of small dogs too including poodles and dachshund's. My neighbors have Two Golden Retrievers whom I spend time with and visit me daily. I have a large yard and I love to play with the dogs and walk dogs. I have a medical background with humans and I am a stickler about safety. I once took care of a cat that needed antibiotics through a tube in his leg. I can safely give medicines to pets. I work from home part time so I have plenty of time to exercise and play with your pup. I live on a country road with lots of good things to sniff. I have a ranch style home in a big yard with lots of shade trees. I will leash your dog if needed when they go outside and stay with them to play. I have security cameras at the front of the property. I live in a very safe and friendly neighborhood.

About: I just made the compassionate choice to set my dog free from his pain. I was a dad to a 7 1/2 year old Schnauzer mix who was just the best. I used to watch pups for teachers, coaches, and family members before I moved out and got my pup! I’ve watched dogs of all sizes and would love to get to spend time with your pup too. I work a hybrid schedule right now, so I’m usually available around lunch times or in a pinch to go make an appearance for your pup and make sure they’re taken care of. Depending on your needs I can usually be flexible with my time to make things work. My house has a fenced in yard, and I love going outside with dogs to play, throw the ball, or just hang out with them. Wherever I need to be for them, I’m there! They will be able to explore my house, be in furniture.

About: We always are out having fun, exploring new terrain. I have a puli and she is always craving new friends and adventures. Dogs are everything to me and the life I live, can't beat a dogs love. We get out and explore all the time as no dog should be left behind sitting around not enjoying life to the fullest. Your pets will be in good hands, treating them just like they are my own. We frequent dog parks and will rally all sorts of fun activities with your beloved animal. I love dogs, you can trust me with your precious family member. Rover is a great service! I work from home so your pets will be taken care of around the clock. I will be available to offer potty breaks whenever needed. We love on your pets like they are our own. They won't want to leave when they are in our care. Safety and their well-being is our top priority.
About: I have had dogs of all kinds since I was a kid. Mostly large dogs, 80lb+, but I’m good with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I have experience with senior dogs and multiple dog households. I can give medication in addition to feeding and watering and lots and lots of pets. I’m available for drop-in visits most weekends but can be available other times as schedules allow. I can accommodate last minute requests in most cases. For care in your home, I can do drop-in visits several times a day to let them out for exercise. Providing client directed food and water. And treats if allowed.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
