“Grace did such an amazing job with our dog and two cats! She was always so timely in her drop ins, and kept us very informed on how everyone was doing. We really appreciate that she was able to sit for us fairly last minute as well. She made our pets feel loved and safe and we couldn't have asked for more!”

“Al was wonderful. He was flexible with my late booking, consistent with his drop-in visits, and attentive to my dog’s medication needs. He even took my trash can to the curb on trash day. Thank you, Al, for taking care of my doggies.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Kristi and Jason! They were able to accommodate our last minute request and went above and beyond to make sure our high energy dog got plenty of attention, exercise, and care. Communication was excellent throughout our time away, we received updates and always felt confident that our dog was in great hands. We would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

“Kara was amazing to work with and took such fantastic care of my 2 kitties while I was out of town! It was clear they were well cared for and she attended to every detail! Communication was also very good!”

About: I love animals. I grew up with a German Shepard and horses and ponies. We had a Black Lab when my Children were school age whom we adored. I have had large dogs including Rottweilers, Black Lab, Shepard's, and Huskies and taken care of small dogs too including poodles and dachshund's. My neighbors have Two Golden Retrievers whom I spend time with and visit me daily. I have a large yard and I love to play with the dogs and walk dogs. I have a medical background with humans and I am a stickler about safety. I once took care of a cat that needed antibiotics through a tube in his leg. I can safely give medicines to pets. I work from home part time so I have plenty of time to exercise and play with your pup. I live on a country road with lots of good things to sniff. I have a ranch style home in a big yard with lots of shade trees. I will leash your dog if needed when they go outside and stay with them to play. I have security cameras at the front of the property. I live in a very safe and friendly neighborhood.
“Theresa did a GREAT job! My cat Zoey clearly enjoyed her visits and she even brought her a new toy! Plus, she brought in our packages and mail 2 weeks before Christmas! Such a wonderful sitter!”

“Kelena was great. Proactive communication, went above and beyond when one of my pups was sick, and she really wants to get it right. Plus my dogs liked her immediately which is a great sign! Highly recommend.”

“William did a wonderful job caring for my cats. He was prompt each day; gave fun updates on the girls eating, play, etc; and made time to pet and play each day. He performed all daily activities I requested. Would highly recommend.”

About: I’ve been around fur babies my entire life, caring for pups of all ages, sizes, and personalities. From energetic puppies to gentle seniors, I’m comfortable using the intuitive understanding of their needs and behaviors that I have gained throughout my years to adapt my care to match each dog’s unique temperament and routine. I’ve also spent time caring for senior pets for family members, so I understand the extra patience, attentiveness, and gentleness they require, whether that means maintaining routines, supporting mobility, or offering calm companionship. On top of that, I’ve raised and cared for my own stubborn shih tzu, which taught me a lot about patience and how to handle strong-willed dogs with both structure and love. What sets my care apart from most, I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach, I focus on truly knowing each pet as if they were my own: learning their personality, respecting their routine, and creating a safe, stress-free environment where they feel secure and loved. Clients can expect reliable communication, updates, and the peace of mind that their pet is not just being watched but cared for. As a college student home for the summer, pet care fits seamlessly into a very open and flexible schedule. With ample availability throughout the day and week, there is plenty of time to provide attentive, consistent care. This flexibility allows for adapting to each pet’s routine and ensuring they receive the time and attention they deserve. Creating a comfortable and trustworthy environment is always the top priority. Care is tailored to each pet’s routine to keep things familiar and stress-free, with close attention to feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any specific instructions provided. Walks are always done with safety in mind, using secure leashing and awareness of surroundings. In a client’s home, respect for both the space and the pet’s comfort is key: keeping things clean, calm, and consistent while maintaining open communication. The goal is to ensure every pet feels secure, cared for, and happy, while giving owners absolute peace of mind.
“Melissa was super friendly, Cheyenne enjoyed her presence immediately, she communicated well and sent lots of pictures! I will definitely choose her again! Thank you Melissa for loving Cheyenne and pearl while we were away!”

“Sarah was wonderful with my babies! I occasionally travel for work and it puts my mind at ease knowing that Sarah is there to drop in and take great care of my furkids. Highly recommend! ??”
About: About Me I’ve been watching animals of all kinds for over 10 years. From dogs and cats to chickens, ducks, and even hedgehogs! I love and treat each and every one of them as my own. My Schedule I’m currently going back to school for nursing. Aside from classes/clinical a few hours a week I’m home full time. This allows me more time with your little love! *My clinicals are typically half days, so if there is a particular day I marked unavailable, please send me a message, we may be able to work something out.* My Home I live off of a private road on 1.6 acres. My backyard is completely fenced with plenty of trees and nature. This allows for a SAFE environment for your fur baby to run/exercise, play, and lots of sniffing for mental stimulation. What to Expect I treat all animals as my own and ensure play and exercise is part of our routine. I have also have two large dogs who love to play. Photos/videos and activity descriptions are sent regularly to ensure you feel connected to your fur baby! *please let me know if your fur baby has any special limitations at our meet and greet so I can do my best to accommodate them.* I love animals more than people, and will ensure to treat your little love like royalty! I’m a nursing student so I have a pretty open schedule aside from classes! I have a VERY large fenced back yard and two very friendly doggos who love to play! All play is supervised and (because of my nursing background), I’ll check your babies frequently to ensure no fleas, ticks, etc.
“Barb is a wonderful Pet Sitter. She took care of our two cats during our long vacation and sent daily updates with pictures and details on what was going on. She truly seems to care about the animals she watches and I greatly appreciated the regular insights. I highly recommend her.”

Tara was a great help taking care of our cats! She sent tons of pictures and even my shy guy came out for her. I really appreciated her communication throughout the weekend we were away. I will definitely ask Tara to pet sit again in the future 😊 thanks, Tara!

Sharin is phenomenal! Absolutely could not be happier with a Pet Sitter. The loving and attentive care she gave to our elderly fur baby was top-notch! She spent a great amount of time with him, quickly learned his needs and his wishes and adapted to best accommodate him. Top notch communication & pictures. I would recommend Sharon in a heartbeat and we will definitely book with her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
