“There is no one like Emi-Lu. She always goes above and beyond with her care for our dog, Finn. She is so attentive and gentle with him. Furthermore, she sends us reminder messages the day before she comes to visit and asks us updated questions about Finn each time, which is much appreciated. Finn absolutely loves her and we do as well.”

“Lyle always responds to my text! I had technical difficulties with the app for some reason it didn’t show the pictures he took And Lyle was patient and responded to all my questions! All is good and my parrots were talking care of as usual! Merci Lyle!”

“Barb did a wonderful job visiting our 3 kitties this week. She was prompt and thorough. She dealt with some messes and even took out/in our trash and recyclable bins while she was here. Very pleased with Barb and will certainly rebook in the future!”

About: I’ve had many different pets in my life big and small each pet teaching me something very different on the love and care for that pets individual needs . I’ve had a Poodle with seizures a Rhodesian Ridge back that ate everything in sight .My recent cat had a mega colon issue when I adopted her it finally got to be too much for her. Luna’s care was very specific including all the medications and diet . My friends and family have me take care of their pets knowing they couldn’t be in more loving hands . My home is pet friendly i have no pets at this time I love animals and they seem to respond very lovingly to me . I’m retired from owning my own business so I’m not working and looking to supplement some extra income so my schedule is flexible and so are my days and evenings . When caring for your pet in my home or your home.I will be feeding and watering your pet giving them exercise and lots of love with all the care you expect and your pet deserves.
“Kara was amazing to work with and took such fantastic care of my 2 kitties while I was out of town! It was clear they were well cared for and she attended to every detail! Communication was also very good!”

“Steph is the perfect pet sitter for my Gracie. She has a border collie just like mine so she is well aware of their energy levels and high sensitivity. You can tell Gracie loves when Steph comes over to visit her. Steph gets a lot of that energy out that is getting built up while Gracie is home alone and shows a lot of love for her. I know I can trust her while I’m away.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for 20 years. I’ve read training books and love them just like my own dog. I will treat your dog like a VIP- Very Important Pup! I can care for dogs anytime after 5. I can take them on nice long walks that are enriching. I will make sure your pup has fun and is nice and tired. I will make sure your pet is safe and care for them just like as they were my dog. Dogs are truly loyal and kind and need to be cared for.
“Kalyn is very understanding of dogs that may require some special care. She understands queues of dogs that may have anxiety meeting new people and is willing to take time and move slow with them. Very happy with her checking in on our dog.”

“Stephanie is fantastic! She is always on time, leaves me pictures and notes on how Stella did. Stella enjoys their visits and I couldn't be happier and more grateful!”

“Arden was the best cat nanny I’ve ever met! She took care of my 2 cats for 3 weeks! She was very attentive to their needs! She gave them so much love and very good care! I highly recommend her and definitely would use her services again no doubt! 1000/10!”

“Needed a last minute drop in visit to let out our bulldog Miggy. Theresa responded quickly to our request. We relocated due to my husbands work so could no longer have family help us out. Loved getting photos also!”

“We’re a repeat client and we’re always highly satisfied with the services of Courtney. She always provides thorough updates and cute pictures. She’s the only one we trust! Thank you again, Courtney & Roman!”

About: Dogs have always been in the family since I was 8 and my dog’s name is Riley. He’s a German shepherd mix. He’s been my running buddy for years. I like to go on walks and runs and would love bring some buddies along with me! I can also bring any dogs that require a bit more exercise to the dog park for some runs. I have fenced yard with plenty of space for runs and a ranch style home for any older pups who don’t like to climb stairs.
“Stephanie was great! She swooped in to help us out with a last minute emergency. We knew our pup was in great hands - we’d hire her again for our next trip for sure!”

About: We have always had dogs be part of our family! We also foster for a local rescue for the last 8 years. Friends, family and neighbors trust us to take care of their dogs whenever they need! We have experience with tiny pups to elderly dogs, special needs and medicine administration. Between dad working remote from home, a stay at home mom, and two kids home after school or activities, someone is always home! Your pet will not be alone while staying with us. We have plenty of yard space (3 acres) for your pet to run and play. We do NOT have a fenced yard, however we have leads, electric fence collar, (if either of those fit your dogs needs) and your pet will always be supervised. We believe dogs are part of the family and are happy for them to snuggle in bed or on the couch if that’s what they do at home! We want your pet to have a safe, happy time when they stay with us or we are visiting them!
“Rachel was great! Not only did she love on my babies like they were her own, but her and her daughter were very calming for my babes. Rachel sent LOTS of photos and was very loving towards my babies! I will definitely be using Rachel again🩷”

“William did a wonderful job caring for my cats. He was prompt each day; gave fun updates on the girls eating, play, etc; and made time to pet and play each day. He performed all daily activities I requested. Would highly recommend.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - New Hudson
I cannot say enough good things about Barb. I did not have a care or a worry about my cat or my house while I was away. I knew everything was in great hands with Barb. Having peace of mind while away is not always possible. But Barb provided that, which is priceless. Yet beyond all of that, my cat adored Barb. He loved her calm and gentle nature and I could tell from the videos and pictures Barb shared, that he felt safe and nurtured around her.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New Hudson. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
