“Anne was a God send! We have two dogs that both had meet and greets with her before our weekend away. Both dogs loved Anne, but we had to make some plan adjustments when one of our dogs developed a rather bad eye infection. Anne was super flexible with our plans and schedule and helped watch one of our pups, Sakari, for the weekend. She provided ample updates throughout each day, accompanied by lots of pictures and videos!! We knew our girl was in terrific hands and never had to worry while we were apart. Sakari is a bit of an anxious dog, especially with new people and settings, but she was instantly comfortable around Anne. She was taken on plenty of long walks and got all the cuddles her little heart desired while we were away. We cannot recommend Anne enough!!! We will most definitely be asking her to sit for our dogs again in the future!”

“Holly made our first Rover experience a great one! She was super about responding to my initial questions and she kept me supplied with pictures and updates during Rapunzel’s stay.”

“Ariana is the only person outside of my own mom who I can leave my Viva with and drive away without the slightest worry- knowing that she will be happy, loved, and so well taken care of. This was our second stay with Ariana and her sweet pup Yogi and I always love getting picture updates throughout the day of lots of play time and cuddles. Viva had some tummy problems during the stay and Ariana went above and beyond to take phenomenal care of her and calm my anxiety while I was across the country. We are so lucky to know her!”

“Reneé was great with Lily for a short overnight stay! She took lots of cute photos of her. She even squeezed in a quick walk before our pickup time. Lily will be back!”

“We are so grateful to Oscar for taking such amazing care of our puppy Maple this past weekend! Maple had so much indoor and outdoor playtime! Oscar kept us updated with videos and messages throughout the weekend. He was also incredibly flexible with Maple’s pickup time when we got stuck in traffic on our drive home. We recommend Oscar as a pet sitter without reservation and will definitely ask if Oscar can care for Maple again in the future!”

“Tanu was fantastic with our dog Daisy! She sent updates every day and kept Daisy comfortable and happy throughout her stay. Tanu took Daisy on walks every day and let us know how she was doing with food and water and the weather. We were so impressed and happy that Tanu was able to put our minds at ease and care for our pup in the same way we would. Great experience, we would love to work with Tanu again!”

“Our 1.5 y.o. pup spent 10 days with Mariana and came back happy, healthy, and knowing a few new commands and tricks. Totally trust her and will request her again when we need boarding.”

“Brooklyn took great care of our pups. She was able to expertly accommodate one our dogs not getting along with others very well. Our other dog got some much needed play time with the other dogs. I can tell from the pictures that they were comfortable and loved in her home.”

“Laura and Manuel were friendly, easy to communicate with, and took great care of our dog. They sent some photo updates too. We would love to work with them again!”

“Deaunna took wonderful care of our Daisy, a 4 y.o. Golden Retriever. Having a couple of other dogs around made her feel comfortable in the new surroundings and she settled in like she was part of the pack. The routine of Deaunna's busy family kept Daisy happily engaged with people coming and going. We particularly appreciated that Daisy had free rein in the home, and the back yard is fully fenced for playing with her new furry friends. Deaunna sent lots of pictures of her on the long walks and Daisy's tail was happily standing tall. Thank you to Deaunna and family.”

“Our pups came home tired, dirty and happy. If you relate that to kids, they had a good stay and played hard. Rodney likes his dogs and meets them where they are without the expectation they will behave and respects that they are in a new place. We hope to be able to travel and use his experience again.”

“my dogs must have enjoyed it because they didn’t act any different getting in the car and going home. They barely missed us. I can tell this family enjoyed taking care of my dogs and I was able to enjoy my time away knowing they were in good hands.”

“We feel like our dog got a mini-vacation when she stayed with Paula! She went above and beyond to take our dog to some fun places and show her a great time while we were away. The pictures and video she sent regularly reassured us that our fur baby was is great hands. Highly recommended!!!”

“Stephanie is simply amazing! We found her on Rover, and messaged her about pet sitting. She invited us to meet her and see her home. She has acres of land for dogs to run and play. Her home is clean and everything is set up to let dogs have free run of the house. Stephanie is very laid back, while still being extremely attentive to the dogs in her care. She shows a genuine love for all the dogs she cares for. We have used her services twice. Once for 3 days, and once for an 11 day stay. She constantly sends updates, pictures, and videos of your pets. She has a system in place where the dogs are never left alone, or need to be put in a kennel. Her or her husband Al, are with your pets 24 hours a day. Our dogs had so much fun playing and socializing with other dogs. They received so much love and attention I was almost worried they wouldn’t want to come home. I realize there are a number of pet sitters and services available, but if you don’t meet Stephanie first, and let her be your only pet sitter you would ever use, you will be making a huge mistake. Stephanie, we can never thank you enough for how well you cared for our babies and how safe we felt in your care!!!”
“Matthew was great, he was very accommodating. Our dog had plenty of play time and attention: she went on walks and loved having a fenced in yard to explore. Matthew communicated well with us. He provided plenty of updates and pictures, which we really appreciated this having been our first time using someone for boarding!”

About: My 2 daughters and I are an animal-loving home. We have 2 playful cocker spaniel mixes, 3 dog-friendly cats, and 3 horses (at a barn). I work from home, so can provide constant companionship and supervision. My girls are also home for the summer and love playing with all animals. Our yard is over an acre with an invisible fence. I can provide a dog runner line, a long tie-out, or take your dog out on a leash. I can provide daily walks, including to our neighborhood pond if your dog likes the water. I am happy to accommodate any reasonable pet care requests, whatever they may be. I just ask that your dog be vaccinated and friendly with other dogs and kids.

Laura was an amazing sitter! She watched our corgi for 2 weeks and kept us very informed of how he was doing. Our little guy has a bit of aggression, but Laura is very knowledgeable and she worked with him every day. She also sent us multiple photos along with our updates! I felt our dog was very well cared for and I would definitely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
