Betsy was very reliable as well as roll with the punches. Our dog didn't eat her breakfast so Betsy allow her to eat before walking. Se sent us pictures while we are away. I would highly recommend.

About: I have owned two dogs as pets. One lived to be 17. My dogs I have owned were both spunkie and lots of fun! I also worked in Illinois for a local dog walking/sitter company. I would walk my dogs for 20 I do walks in all kinds of weather. I had 2-4 dogs a week. Frankie a male dog and Ginger an older arthritic dog; they were my regulars. I would end every visit with petting and a treat. I really love my dogs and took very good care of them. Every visit ends with a text to the owner including a cute photo and information on whether the dog peed and pooped. I also volunteer at the Huron Velley Humane Society. My son has had all kinds of animals so if you have a bearded dragon or hamster I am familiar with many different pets. I love the flexibility. I enjoy getting outdoors and I love animals. This is a great combo for me. I’m recently stopped working this will a great way to fill my days. My dog gets a lot of love. I believe the best part of dogs is they are simple they just need attention and love. The last two dogs I had I gave lots of petting and hugs. Dogs also need stimulation whether it be playing fetch or using a Kong or some other activity an owner may have I like to incorporate that into my visit.

Alyssa and Vince were wonderful to walk my girls for me for most of the summer. They were always very willing to work with me when my schedule changed and could not have been more flexible and helpful. It was wonderful getting pictures of their daily walks, so that I could see how happy they were on the midday break! I would definitely call on them again!

About: I've been caring for pets my whole life, and have been a trusted sitter for family and friends for many years. I've also been a volunteer for the Humane Society since 2019, helping socialize and train some of the most challenging shelter dogs and cats. I have experience with large and xl dogs, senior animals, and puppies and kittens 8 weeks and older. I grew up in a family that adopted all sorts of pets, from dogs and cats to guinea pigs, horses, parakeets, and one very majestic iguana. While I don't currently have any pets since my last elderly fur baby crossed the Rainbow Bridge, I look forward to adopting again in the future from a rescue organization. I'm a freelance grant writer, which means lots of flexibility to meet your scheduling needs. I can do drop-in visits and overnights at your home, and will happily send you as many photos as you like. Your trust and your fur baby's well being are my top priorities. I always make sure to follow any instructions or rules you have for your home and pets.

About: Although I’m new to Rover, I’ve always been a huge dog lover and have cared for dogs through friends, family, and neighbors over the years. I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and giving dogs plenty of love and attention. I’m also very dependable and will treat your dog like they’re my own. My background in healthcare has taught me to be patient, responsible, and attentive to details, and I’ll always prioritize your pet’s safety and well-being. I’ll be moving to Wyoming on October 5 for a short-term job as I prepare for graduate school, and I’ll have a very flexible schedule leading up to that. From September 16 through October 5, I’ll have plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I’m happy to work around your dog’s routine and will make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. I’m available for both weekday and weekend bookings during this time. Your dog’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. Chad was great. My dogs were so happy when I got home. He went the extra mile for them by brushing, spending extra time and walking them thoroughly. He is reliable, timely and kept giving me updates. I will use him every time if he is available. I got his name from a friend. He is a great fit for my dogs.

About: Ive been taking care of dogs my whole life. We actually had Beagle puppies born in our bathroom 13 years ago. I've raised 5 dogs all together. We have 1 left. He's our baby. I will love your dog like my own. I will take care of them like you do. I'm not working so I have plenty of time to walk, play and love on your pet! I am available most weekends and holidays as well. I have a fenced area in my yard, a doggie door and a very friendly senior dog. He's a little loud sometimes, since he's a Beagle but it's all love. Your fur baby will be super happy here. If you prefer I come to you that is perfectly fine too. I will make sure your pet is happy when I leave!

About: I grew up with Siberian huskies and am comfortable around high energy breeds! I also care for cats of friends and family, including cats with medical needs. I work a very non-traditional schedule, with rotating days and shifts. That being said, there’s almost always a way to figure out 1-2 visits or walks per day (though one may be preferred on some days). Reach out and we can figure it out! I am respectful of any space I am invited into, and I am diligent about security. I am comfortable working with any special requests you may have.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and energy levels, from playful puppies to calm senior dogs. I’m patient, attentive, and very detail-oriented, which means I follow feeding schedules, walking routines, and care instructions exactly as requested. I also regularly care for my own golden retriever, handling daily walks, feeding, playtime, and routine care. This has given me hands-on experience with an active, friendly breed that needs consistent exercise and attention. I’m especially comfortable with daily walks, exercise, and providing calm companionship. I pay close attention to a dog’s body language and behavior, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while in my care. I understand that every dog is different and I take the time to adjust to their personality and needs. As a full-time University of Michigan student, I’m highly organized, reliable, and communicative. I show up on time, send regular updates, and treat every dog as if they were my own. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. During the week, I’m available before and after classes for walks, drop-ins, and check-ins, and I keep my schedule organized to ensure I can give each pet reliable, unrushed care. I am completely free on weekends, which allows me to be very flexible with timing for longer walks, multiple visits, or extended care. I prioritize consistency and clear communication, so pet owners always know when to expect updates and care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to respect their space and follow all instructions exactly as provided. I focus on keeping pets safe, comfortable, and stress-free by maintaining their normal routines, including feeding, walks, playtime, and rest. I’m attentive to safety at all times—making sure leashes are secure, doors and gates are closed, and pets are supervised during walks and visits. I pay close attention to behavior and energy levels, especially in new environments, and adjust care as needed. I also prioritize clear communication and trust. I provide regular updates and photos, and I always leave a client’s home clean, secure, and just as I found it.

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family didn’t have a dog of our own, so I became the go-to dog sitter in my neighborhood. I would walk, play with, and care for other people’s pets whenever I had the chance. That early experience turned into a genuine passion for understanding dogs and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and happy while their family was away. As soon as I had my own home, I adopted a puppy and fully committed to raising and training him with love and respect. I’ve trained him to walk off-leash, respond reliably to both vocal and hand signals, and comfortably travel on airplanes. Through this, I’ve gained hands-on experience with structured training, consistency, and reading dog behavior. I treat every dog like part of the family. My own dog gets multiple walks a day, regular playtime, and a lot of affection. I bring that same level of care to every dog I watch. I’m especially attentive to a dog’s energy levels, routines, and personality, making sure they get the right balance of exercise, structure, and affection. What sets me apart is a combination of experience, attention to detail, and genuine care. I’m comfortable with active dogs who need exercise and engagement, as well as reinforcing good habits and basic training. My goal is always to make your dog feel at home and give you peace of mind while you’re away. I work from home full-time, so pet care naturally fits into my daily routine. I’m home throughout the day and available to meet your dog’s needs whether that’s regular walks, playtime, feeding, or just companionship. During work hours, I structure my day so dogs are never left unattended for long. If I’m in meetings, I have comfortable dog beds in my office so pups can relax nearby and still feel included and at ease. Outside of that, I build in time for walks, outdoor play, and engagement throughout the day. I provide a safe, structured, and flexible environment tailored to each dog’s needs. At my home, I have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor time, along with access to nearby parks for longer walks and exercise. I can also use long leads when appropriate to give dogs more freedom while still maintaining control and safety while playing at the park. I’m very attentive to each dog’s personality and comfort level. My own dog is an active doodle who requires a lot of exercise and stimulation, so I’m already in a routine of providing consistent activity, enrichment, and supervision. Visiting dogs can join in on walks and play if they enjoy social interaction, or I can provide more one-on-one attention if that’s what they’re used to. When caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine as much as possible. I pay close attention to behavior, energy levels, and any signs of stress to ensure they feel comfortable and secure. Cleanliness, supervision, and clear communication with owners are always top priorities so you can feel confident your dog is in good hands.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
