“Betsy was very reliable as well as roll with the punches. Our dog didn't eat her breakfast so Betsy allow her to eat before walking. Se sent us pictures while we are away. I would highly recommend.”

About: Our family has had many pets over the past 45 years; horses, goats, chickens, rabbits, cats, and dogs. My love and care for animals is abundant! I’m retired, flexible, and available 7 days a week during the day or evening. I also may be available on holidays depending on family plans. I would care for your pet in your home according to your detailed instructions. The safety of your pet and developing a trusting relationship with you pet are both very important to me.
“Alyssa and Vince were wonderful to walk my girls for me for most of the summer. They were always very willing to work with me when my schedule changed and could not have been more flexible and helpful. It was wonderful getting pictures of their daily walks, so that I could see how happy they were on the midday break! I would definitely call on them again!”

About: I have owned two dogs as pets. One lived to be 17. My dogs I have owned were both spunkie and lots of fun! I also worked in Illinois for a local dog walking/sitter company. I would walk my dogs for 20 minutes. If the weather was bad I would walk the pet and play with them inside their home. I had 2-4 dogs a week. Frankie a big sniffer male dog and Ginger an older arthritic dog; they were my regulars. I would end every visit with petting and a treat. I really love my dogs. Every visits ends with a text to the owner including a cute photo and information on whether the dog peed and pooped. I love the flexibility. I enjoy getting outdoors and I love animals. This is a great combo for me. I’m recently stopped working this will a great way to fill my days. My dog gets a lot of love. I believe the best part of dogs is they are simple they just need attention and love. The last two dogs I had I gave lots of petting and hugs. Dogs also need stimulation whether it be playing fetch or using a Kong or some other activity an owner may have I like to incorporate that into my visit.
About: I'm a former K-12 educator and current parent to humans and pets. I love to help neighbors and be around the warm fuzzies that can't always travel with us. I'm currently looking for my next career move. I've used some of my time to care for pets when my neighbors have traveled. I'd love to meet your pets and help you, too! I am happy to care for your pet and home while you are away. I would be happy to walk, feed, and play with your pet in their familiar spaces.
“Chad was great. My dogs were so happy when I got home. He went the extra mile for them by brushing, spending extra time and walking them thoroughly. He is reliable, timely and kept giving me updates. I will use him every time if he is available. I got his name from a friend. He is a great fit for my dogs.”

About: Hi! I'm Emma, a born and raised dog lover. I'm a city girl who works from home, which gives me the flexibility to care for your dog with attention and consistency. I’ve cared for senior dogs and trained puppies (as well as my own), and I’m comfortable with all breeds. I take the time to make sure dogs feel safe and comfortable in their own environment, especially giving them time to get familiar with me! I treat every dog as if they were my own and prioritize their well-being. Communication is important to me, so I provide prompt updates and frequent photos—my camera roll is mostly dogs! You can trust that your furry friend will receive love, attention, and care while you’re away. I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible—I can adjust to fit the needs of dogs whose owners are on trips or working long hours. I’m an early riser and a night owl, so I’m available most times of the day. At home, I help care for my parents and our dog, so I’m always in the mindset of giving love, attention, and affection. As a recent college graduate, I know how much I missed my own dog, and I’ve maintained a similar schedule while volunteering at the local animal shelter. I’m young, active, and happy to walk or drive as needed to make sure your dog gets exercise and attention. I prioritize safety and trust, treating every dog as if they were my own, and I take the time to ensure they feel comfortable and secure in their own environment. With a flexible schedule working from home, I’m available most times of the day and committed to giving providing your pup with love and attention whenever they need it! As someone with a reactive dog, I understand the value of patience and being tuned in to what makes a dog uncomfortable. I’m always mindful of potential triggers and do my best to avoid overwhelming or unfamiliar situations for all dogs in my care. My focus is on keeping things calm, respecting every dog’s boundaries, and creating a low-stress environment for everyone involved!

About: I've done walks professionally for a little bit over a year and a half now, handling multiple dogs at a time when necessary, doing well with a wide variety of different dogs! I'm a pet parent myself, so I show the same care to all my dog clients I currently work one full-time job Monday through Friday, so walks after 4:00 p.m. on weekdays are pretty much guaranteed. Saturday's I have an open schedule for walks, so if you need weekend walks I'm available! I may be available sometimes for holidays, and my flexibility and availability may increase in the near future, but for now these are the best times to book. I'm not currently offering boarding services, but I do walk my fur child very regularly and he loves it, and I have been walking professionally for just short of 2 years.
“Linda S is a superb dog walker. We have had other dog walkers from Rover and almost all of them have been very good, but Linda S is outstanding, the best of the bestRuthie really loves her and when she comes to the door, Ruthie can hardly wait to see her. Ruthie needs a lot of exercise and Linda S walked her farther than any other dog walker we have had. They almost always walked more than 4 miles and one time she walked her 5.2 miles. We are very grateful and we will book her again whenever we need a Dog Walker in the future.”
About: New to Rover, not to dogs! I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and I never have enough of them! As a dedicated Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) volunteer and dog walker, I have experience with all personalities, from the high energy sprinters to the shy wallflowers. I'm also a pet photographer, so I’ve learned how to make dogs feel at ease, earn their trust, and even get a few happy smiles (or tail wags) along the way! My young dog is a social butterfly who absolutely loves having new friends over to play! When your dog stays with us, I guarantee supervised play sessions, sniff-filled dog walks, and a peaceful space for downtime. Why Choose Me? Fear-Free Certified: As a result of my time volunteering for the Humane Society, I am trained in providing in fear-free care. I prioritize your dog’s emotional well-being by using positive reinforcement to minimize stress and anxiety. This means I focus on making every interaction a happy, low pressure experience for your dog. Training and Reinforcement: If you’re working on specific manners or cues, I’m happy to provide consistent reinforcement during our time together to keep those skills sharp. I can’t wait to meet your furry best friend! I work from home, and so does my wife, so someone will almost always be at home with your pet. Additionally, because of our flexible work schedules, someone is almost always home - but in the event that we do have to leave your pet unattended, we ask that you provide a kennel/crate so that we are sure they are safe at all times. Our dog loves having a new friend around, so there’s always company and playtime. I follow your pet’s regular routine with walks, meals, playtime, and rest. Pets are always supervised in a clean, safe environment. I send three updates a day, always with photos!

“Elayna was very quick to respond and very communicative. She was extremely flexible with my last minute request and tons of disorganization on my part. Very attentive to my senior dogs needs. Would highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. I’ve trained each of my dogs myself, from playful puppies to calm, well-mannered adults, so I’m patient, consistent, and confident handling dogs of all personalities. I treat every pet like my own and always make sure they feel safe, loved, and understood. I’m a part time undergraduate student at the University of Michigan with loads of availability. I am very flexible with timing and will be excited to contribute. I have a front yard, as well as live a few minutes away from Burn's Park, a great area for dog's to play together outside.
About: Growing up, my family always had dogs and lived in neighborhoods full of other dogs. I am currently a proud cat owner who is hoping to meet and care for any kind of animal, no matter their age, weight, size, breed, or health needs. From a senior pug to an energetic two-month old kitten, my experience is wide-ranging, and I promise to work my hardest to ensure your pet is safe and happy while their parents aren't near! I work part-time as a public library desk clerk, so on Thursday-Sunday I may work as late as 8pm. However, I am always available before 10am on those days and my Mon-Wed are completely open. I am always available for overnight care as well. My schedule changes every week so I can negotiate with you to see what works best for you and your pet. I have lots of experience with pets who are food-driven and deeply curious, meaning I am no stranger to prying slobbery objects and/or bugs out of mouths... That being said, I will make sure to leave any seemingly chewable/consumable items of my own at my house, and I will be careful to consider any possible pet hazards when I am in your home. I am vigilant about any potential dangers to your pets' safety and always make their health my top priority.

About: I've personally cared for multiple dogs and cats for most of my life. I've most recently provided in-home care for a number of pets on Trusted Housesitters along with my partner for the past three years. We have received consistent five-star reviews from pet owners. I've also cared for my own two small dogs, and am comfortable managing daily routines, exercise, and behavioral cues. Most recently, I've supported a senior cat with health issues during an acute period providing attentive monitoring and calm, consistent care. I have a flexible schedule allowing me to be present for walks, daily care, and lots of one on one attention on a regular basis. I live on a quiet two-acre country property with open space and low traffic dirt roads. The yard is not fenced so dogs are always supervised outdoors and kept on a leash for walks.
