“Our dog, Fluff, had an great stay and was treated just like family while we were away. Fluff usually has a built-in radar for vets, groomers, and boarding facilities—he’s normally incredibly hesitant to leave the car when we arrive, and when we pick him up after a visit/stay, we typically get the 'stink-eye' and he can't get out the door and into the car soon enough. We didn't have any of those issues at Catherine’s place! He was completely relaxed, which tells us everything we need to know. I feel entirely at ease leaving Fluff with her again and plan to when we leave town again.”

About: I have owned two dogs as pets. One lived to be 17. My dogs I have owned were both spunkie and lots of fun! I also worked in Illinois for a local dog walking/sitter company. I would walk my dogs for 20 I do walks in all kinds of weather. I had 2-4 dogs a week. Frankie a male dog and Ginger an older arthritic dog; they were my regulars. I would end every visit with petting and a treat. I really love my dogs and took very good care of them. Every visit ends with a text to the owner including a cute photo and information on whether the dog peed and pooped. I also volunteer at the Huron Velley Humane Society. My son has had all kinds of animals so if you have a bearded dragon or hamster I am familiar with many different pets. I love the flexibility. I enjoy getting outdoors and I love animals. This is a great combo for me. I’m recently stopped working this will a great way to fill my days. My dog gets a lot of love. I believe the best part of dogs is they are simple they just need attention and love. The last two dogs I had I gave lots of petting and hugs. Dogs also need stimulation whether it be playing fetch or using a Kong or some other activity an owner may have I like to incorporate that into my visit.

During work hours, I structure my day so dogs are never left unattended for long. If I’m in meetings, I have comfortable dog beds in my office so pups can relax nearby and still feel included and at ease. Outside of that, I build in time for walks, outdoor play, and engagement throughout the day. I provide a safe, structured, and flexible environment tailored to each dog’s needs. At my home, I have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor time, along with access to nearby parks for longer walks and exercise. I can also use long leads when appropriate to give dogs more freedom while still maintaining control and safety while playing at the park. I’m very attentive to each dog’s personality and comfort level. My own dog is an active doodle who requires a lot of exercise and stimulation, so I’m already in a routine of providing consistent activity, enrichment, and supervision. Visiting dogs can join in on walks and play if they enjoy social interaction, or I can provide more one-on-one attention if that’s what they’re used to. When caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine as much as possible. I pay close attention to behavior, energy levels, and any signs of stress to ensure they feel comfortable and secure. Cleanliness, supervision, and clear communication with owners are always top priorities so you can feel confident your dog is in good hands.

Fluff usually has a built-in radar for vets, groomers, and boarding facilities—he’s normally incredibly hesitant to leave the car when we arrive, and when we pick him up after a visit/stay, we typically get the 'stink-eye' and he can't get out the door and into the car soon enough. We didn't have any of those issues at Catherine’s place! He was completely relaxed, which tells us everything we need to know. I feel entirely at ease leaving Fluff with her again and plan to when we leave town again.”

About: I am very well versed in dog care, dog body language, and dog introductions. We have 5.5 acres for dogs to run and I have three who are very wonderful playmates for my guests and fosters. I have a very flexible schedule for dog and cat care! I am a stay at home mother of three school aged kiddos here in Dexter I will treat your animals like my own animals, with love and care, and an emphasis on exercise, play and fun for them as well!
