About: I've had pets my entire life. It has been quite some time since I have owned a dog. I had the best dog of my life and since she passed away I don't think I can endure that loss again. However, I still crave interactions with man's best friend. I very recently lost my 19 year old kitty which has been difficult but I still have a 12yr old rescued cat with bad behaviors lol. I am experienced with providing oral medications and injections. I owned a diabetic cat that unfortunately died from cancer. I also have fish and cardene shrimp. I have cared for reptiles, birds, rats, mice, and other small furry friends. I am an RN but need to spend more time with critters to make my life more balanced and enjoyable. Sure, overtime as an RN pays better, but time spent with animals brings me joy. I have experience training both cats and dogs. I am a remote worker and therefore have a great deal of flexibility. Let me know your needs. I will do my best to accommodate your pet's needs. I keep my cat in the bedroom due to bad behaviors and extreme anxiety making it easy to care for another animal in our home if needed. I do not have a fenced yard but I live in a beautiful subdivision for long walks. I prefer to watch pets in their home to reduce anxiety but if your pet is very social and you prefer they stay in our home, our home is very pet friendly. Our whole family has cats and dogs and they always come to visit and get spoiled. Animals are allowed on furniture and run of our large home.

“Corinne came when she said she would and provided us with photos and feedback from her visits with our dog. As far as we can tell, our dog enjoyed her time with Corinne (she didn't tell us directly but when we arrived back home she was feeling happy and calm:)) I would not hesitate to hire Corinne again.”

“Erin completely exceeded our expectations when watching our dog, Reese. She was amazing with communication and made sure we knew what was happening with Reese, even while we were away. Reese is forever grateful for the freshwater Erin provided every time she visited, showing she truly cares and listens to her clients needs & odd habits. She is amazing with animals and knows they each have their own personality and set of needs. We could not recommend her more and will definitely be having her watch Reese again in the future!”

“Thank you so much Kristy for taking such a good care of my boys once again . I appreciate the communication and the troubleshooting you did when arrival. We appreciate Nikko and Kopper to be full of love when we are traveling :)”

“Molly was an incredible cat-sitter for a whole week. She took our cat to the backyard on a harness for walks at our request, played with him, brushed him, fed him, and gave us great photos of all of this to boot—even some action shots. We came home and he was totally at ease, clearly having just made a new friend. She took up our offer to do a meet and greet and was very communicative and thorough in all aspects. She even noticed when the litter robot was getting low on litter and offered to replenish it, even though she hadn’t deal with one before. We will definitely be requesting her for future trips if she’s available! Thank you, Molly!”

“First time we use Rover, and actually a sitter for our 2 cats. Overall the experience has been flawless. Carolina is very trustworthy, loves and know about animals. Really enjoyed the great communication ( daily notes, pictures, …). Will definitely repeat the experience as needs arise.”

“Angela was great and took amazing care of my cat while I was on vacation. Having her there and seeing the pictures she took while I was gone really put me at ease knowing she was taking great care of my baby girl (cat). I will definitely not think twice about using her services again in the future.”

“Lindsay was fantastic. She took great care of our dog while we were out of town. Very reliable - great communication with us and love all the picture updates. It made been away so much easier knowing he was been taken care of so well. Highly recommend her.”

“Anna took excellent care of both my dogs for a drop in visit, Love the fact she has an Australian Cattle dog herself and understands their high drive nature! I definitely will be using Anna again and highly recommend her 😊”

About: Hi, I'm Bradley! By day, I'm a pilot, which means I naturally bring focus on safety, communication, and extreme reliability to everything I do. But when I'm on the ground, my real passion is hanging out with dogs. I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and understand that every pet has their own unique personality. Whether your dog is high-energy and needs a long walk or a shy rescue who needs a patient, calm presence to feel safe, I tailor my care to exactly what they need. My goal is to give you total peace of mind while you're away. Because of my aviation background, I'm a stickler for routine, text updates, and keeping your pets safe and happy. I can't wait to meet your pup! I currently am on an extended break from work so I will be available almost all the time. I update my schedule frequently, so my availability is always accurate. Safety and providing an enjoyable experience are paramount for me. I understand every dog is different and like to provide a tailored experience for my clients. Safety and peace of mind are my top priorities. I treat every dog as if they were my own, which means double-checking doors, using secure leashes in all public or unfenced spaces, and strictly following any medical or dietary routines you have. I adapt entirely to your dog's comfort level.
“I highly recommend Margaret. I have an energetic puppy. Margaret gave her a wonderful walk every day rain or shine, and played tug-of-war (my puppy's favorite!) with her reamining time. She communicated with me after every visit and sent me videos of the dog walks. I will absolutely use Margaret again. Very professional.”

“Alicia was absolutely awesome! She came to do a meet and greet a few days before our trip and we knew instantly she was a good fit for our pups. She gave us great updates with the cutest photos; we felt very confident that our doggies were being taken good care of while we were away. Would highly recommend her!”

“Kirsti B. was wonderful with drop-ins for our dog Lacie. She came twice a day for four days. Lacie is older so I was glad to have someone who I immediately knew would be perfect for her. She sent pics every visit and details about her visit. Kirsti replied to any question or comment quickly and throughly. She also sent some pics of our bunny Tiki, too. Knowing Lacie and Tiki were taking care of helped us ease our mind and enjoy our staycation to Disney. Thank you again!!!”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life for many years, and I’ve also helped care for my aunt’s dogs, who she groomed professionally. My patient and gentle nature allows me to connect with dogs of all personalities — from energetic pups to shy or nervous ones. I’m attentive to routines, whether it’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or basic training reinforcement. I follow instructions closely and am happy to help with commands, leash manners, or gentle encouragement for anxious dogs. Most importantly, I treat every dog as if they were my own — with kindness, respect, and plenty of love, so they feel safe and happy while you’re away. Pet care is an important part of my daily life, and I make sure every pet gets the attention, exercise, and love they need. I plan walks, visits, and playtime around your pet’s routine, and I’m attentive to feeding schedules, medication, and enrichment activities. I’m available most days after 3 PM, and all day on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I’m happy to work with your schedule and can adjust for regular visits or last-minute needs whenever possible, ensuring your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I provide loving, attentive care in your pet’s own home, following your routines and instructions closely. I offer walks, playtime, enrichment, and medication if needed, making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away.
“Laura has been absolutely fantastic with our dogs! We’ve been using her over the last few months and she always provides detailed feedback and we feel very assured that she gives them lots of attention and love! We feel very fortunate to have her!”

About: I have taken care of lots of pets growing up. My parents dog is in her senior years so getting a lot of practice with that as well. I love animals but my apartment doesn’t allow me to have a pet, I miss having one around. I work a hybrid position so my schedule can be more flexible on some days! I am also open most nights after the work day and on weekends! I live in an apartment so my home is not the best for a pet at the moment, but I am very respectful in someone else’s space and prefer a clean environment so I will always pick up after myself & your pet.
About: I love working with all animals from dogs and cats to lizards and parakeets! I have a very flexible schedule for the most part and would work on your time. My past experience was boarding with a Labrador, so big dogs are great for me. I also have done a couple drop ins for a chihuahua and loved him. I am great with all sizes of dogs (and cats). I have a golden doodle of my own and he is 110 pounds so walking and taking care of bigger dogs is no problem! I am going into a veterinary career and would love to be more hands on with all different types of animals. The more the merrier! I would love to watch or walk multiple animals at once! I have an open schedule to care for your furry friends. I would love to take your dogs on an early morning or afternoon walk. I am available in the evenings as well for dinner time or after dinner walks! I love caring for dogs and making sure they feel right at home! I offer a friendly and safe environment where they can relax, play, and get lots of love and attention while you’re away

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Clarkston
My husband and I have had several cat sitters for our very loved cat. Kristy is by FAR the best we have ever had. She is warm and caring, reporting any differences she sees in Tully’s behavior and eating habits—and gives him the best ear rubs and cuddles. Our sweet boy loves her. We leave him in Kristy’s care with peace in our hearts. Kristy is exceptional.
Claire took excellent care of Merlin! We’re very happy with the care and attention she gave him during both visits. She took him outside for potty breaks, walked him, played with him, and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of. She followed all of our instructions perfectly and kept us updated throughout the day, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We would absolutely trust Claire with Merlin again and highly recommend her! 🐾

I would highly recommend Alicia for your pet sitting needs she was amazing with our fur baby! She followed all our instructions and she provided regular updates with pictures that gave us a sense of comfort. She even went above and beyond making sure an important package I received while away was securely placed in the house. I would definitely hire Alicia again if I'm ever in need of services for my pet!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
