Hello! My name is Alexis, and I am offering pet sitting services in my home as well as pet visiting in yours. I currently work from home full time as an Executive Litigation Assistant for a personal injury law firm in Rochester Michigan and have been pet sitting for the past 15 years. When I purchased my home in 2019, I began offering boarding & daycare in my home as well. I have a large fully-fenced in backyard (photo of my yard within rover photos) with an array of strong-chewer safe toys, indoor and outdoor dog beds, and a kiddy pool for the water loving dogs. Your dog(s) MUST be up to date on shots for me to watch them in my home. I do require vaccination certification to be sent to me prior to your visit (or meet and greet). Please be sure to check for the bordatella shot- this is the primary vaccine that protects against kennel cough. Your dog will also need to be up to date on DHPP. We’ve never had any medical issues or sicknesses and we want to keep it that way! :) if you have any vaccination questions, feel free to ask! I have 2 dogs and a cat. The cat generally keeps to himself. The dogs are: Kojak the Doberman (120lbs), and Hubble the Wire-Haired Terrier mix (41lbs) — (Chip the Chihuahua passed 9.14.25 for those who know Chip 🥺💔😞). All are dog friendly and love to have playmates- of course your dogs will need to be friendly to stay here too :) With the size that my Doberman has grown to- I will typically only watch dogs that are 35lbs and up as I want to make sure everyone is comfortable— the exception I would make is if your little dog is one of those “big dogs in a little body”- I just want everyone to be comfortable around my large Doberman. I also have a dog-friendly sphynx (hairless) cat, iguana, bearded dragon, a clawed frog, 2 axolotls, and 8 guppies. (Don’t worry they have their own room/enclosures- so they are kept away from the dogs & cat!). MEET & GREET’S: Non-winter meet and greets are limited to 20 minutes as I have had many people do meet and greets as a “free play date” with no booking in mind. To alleviate a time waste for all, meet and greets do not need more than 20 minutes. I do not do meet and greets during the winter (upon first snowfall) as I conduct meet and greets with you and your pets alone inside first so they can get a good smell and sniff around before going out to the backyard to meet my dogs. This is how I have done all meet and greets with over 200 customers. This allows the dogs to be able to run around outside in a more neutral setting - as new meets are super exciting for the pups. I also offer exotic pet care- I have personal experience with ferrets, iguanas, bearded dragons, anoles, turtles, axolotls, a variety of freshwater fish, aquatic frogs (African dwarf & African clawed), firebelly toads, bunnies… the list goes on! Please message me for further details and to discuss your exotic pet’s specific needs. Daycare runs Monday-Thursday from 7am-5:15pm (unless previous arrangements were worked out), and Fridays from 7am-4pm. After 5:15pm (4:15pm Fridays) there is a $10 late pickup fee regardless of start time. I now offer $20 drop in visits for feeding/liter scooping/water refill: this is a discounted price for cats (or fish etc.) that hide and do not like new people. This is not a standard 30 minute visit, it is just a “pop in” where I come drop in for feeding/litter scooping and water refill and then head out. For this service, please send a drop in visit request and indicate in the notes or message me that you only need the $20 drop on service. I am very hands on - for regular drop ins I will sit on the floor with your pets, on their level, to play, pet, and show affection to them. I am a huge animal lover and feel very connected to all animals— even rescues and reactive pets usually end up loving me. Drop in visits include: food & water refilling and cleaning of pet bowls at each visit, litter box scooping (for cat visits), medicine administration (if required- I am experienced with oral medication and willing to learn injections as I have only done this once), and lots of love/cuddles and playtime. Additional add-on services include: - Home Tidying Up (includes: counters wiped down, vacuumed floors, general tidying/organization, window and mirror cleaning, blankets folded, pillows fluffed, dishes cleaned) – this can be customized to your preference. Typically I charge $25 for a tidy-up. - Dog poop cleanup of the yard: $20 - Bathing: $20 - Brushing: $10 - Nail clipping: $10 - Pickup/drop off of your pet: $15 round trip ($8 one way) I am open to any miscellaneous care you need as well— think of me as your personal animal loving assistant! Since 2017 I have been the designated kitty sitter for a traveling executive where I go to her house once in the morning and once in the evening for visits and feeding/play when she is on business trips - I even take one of her special needs kitties on stroller rides around the block! I have references available upon request! *** Please be advised that boarding always takes priority. This is because I have committed to 24/7 care for the dog(s) being boarded with me. If you are scheduled for daycare and I am scheduled for boarding during your daycare dates, I will contact both pet parents to try to accommodate to the best of my abilities. This may mean switching daycare days, skipping a day, or potentially asking for permission to board and do daycare together. I ALWAYS will ask for permission from both pet parents before having dogs from different households at my house. I will also give you advance notice if you are scheduled for daycare and I am unable to watch your dog. Please feel free to ask questions! Note- if you see the collar on my Doberman … it is not a shock collar. It is a beep collar and a tracker collar. I have a remote to make a beep noise if he is being bad (jumping up on people and digging holes in my backyard lol).
