When taking on a new client, I'd like to schedule a meet and greet, whether online or in person; that way, we can ensure we're a good fit. That's very important to me, and also, getting able to talk will allow me to learn more about your pet and your care expectations; after all, who knows your pet more than the owner? Lastly, I love meeting new dogs, and they generally like to meet me, so I'd argue your pet, and I will get along incredibly. Being away from your best friend can be really difficult so I make it my goal to communicate as often as possible. I will make sure to give plenty of updates and pictures of all the fun your pup is having.

About: I have been a part time dog sitter, cat sitter, house sitter, etc since I was 10 years old. I've also been a volunteer at my local animal shelter since I was 15. When I personally am trusted to stay in someone's home, I usually stick around the same area of the house out of habit. I keep food where it belongs to prevent mishaps, and keep things off the floor to prevent injuries of their me or pets. When going for walks I like to stick to trails or sidewalked areas that have decent cell reception, just in case. I keep treats with me, extra bags, and have a phone holder for my wrist so I can have a hand free, especially for dogs who get excited from wildlife and could suddenly pull really hard anytime. I keep a pop up bowl and a bottle for water breaks. Before going for longer walks I touch test the path in case they are too hot. I also have experience putting jackets on dogs in the colder months.

“Molly was an incredible cat-sitter for a whole week. She took our cat to the backyard on a harness for walks at our request, played with him, brushed him, fed him, and gave us great photos of all of this to boot—even some action shots. We came home and he was totally at ease, clearly having just made a new friend. She took up our offer to do a meet and greet and was very communicative and thorough in all aspects. She even noticed when the litter robot was getting low on litter and offered to replenish it, even though she hadn’t deal with one before.
