“Erin’s enthusiasm for animals and their care is palpable and that’s exactly the attitude you want when handing your kitties over to someone new. She takes a genuine interest in your animals and probably will make many new furry friends.”

“Erin has done a wonderful job as usual! My cat is normally skittish around other people but loves her! She sends numerous pictures, plays with him, and just takes awesome care of him. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life for many years, and I’ve also helped care for my aunt’s dogs, who she groomed professionally. My patient and gentle nature allows me to connect with dogs of all personalities — from energetic pups to shy or nervous ones. I’m attentive to routines, whether it’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or basic training reinforcement. I follow instructions closely and am happy to help with commands, leash manners, or gentle encouragement for anxious dogs. Most importantly, I treat every dog as if they were my own — with kindness, respect, and plenty of love, so they feel safe and happy while you’re away. Pet care is an important part of my daily life, and I make sure every pet gets the attention, exercise, and love they need. I plan walks, visits, and playtime around your pet’s routine, and I’m attentive to feeding schedules, medication, and enrichment activities. I’m available most days after 3 PM, and all day on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I’m happy to work with your schedule and can adjust for regular visits or last-minute needs whenever possible, ensuring your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I provide loving, attentive care in your pet’s own home, following your routines and instructions closely. I offer walks, playtime, enrichment, and medication if needed, making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away.
“Alicia was a wonderful caretaker for my dog. She provided excellent care and kept me informed about both my dog and minor changes around my home while I was away. She even brought my trash cans back to the house, which was above and beyond her responsibilities. I truly appreciated her attentiveness, reliability, and thoughtful help. I would gladly recommend her to others.”

She came to meet the dogs before hand to make sure they were comfortable with her during the drop off visits. She send daily photo reports of them and always responded fast if I had any question. Thanks Lauren”

About: I aim to ensure that every dog in my care is taken care of to the fullest extent. Keeping your precious pet safe and loved is my duty. I know just how important dogs are in our lives, so ensuring they get the kind of treatment they get at home is essential. Loving dogs is something that comes second nature to me. Throughout my life, these pets have played a significant role. In my experience, I have watched/raised leader dogs for the blind, my dog, friends/family pets, and my girlfriend's dog often. I have 10+ years of experience working with this beautiful animal, both big and small. When taking on a new client, I'd like to schedule a meet and greet, whether online or in person; that way, we can ensure we're a good fit. That's very important to me, and also, getting able to talk will allow me to learn more about your pet and your care expectations; after all, who knows your pet more than the owner? Lastly, I love meeting new dogs, and they generally like to meet me, so I'd argue your pet, and I will get along incredibly. Being away from your best friend can be really difficult so I make it my goal to communicate as often as possible. I will make sure to give plenty of updates and pictures of all the fun your pup is having.

I have several years of grooming experience. I spend every single day with animals of all kinds doing anything from grooming to walking and training. I make sure all animals under my care whether in my home or in yours are comfortable and happy. My full attention is on your pet during their service.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a little girl. I currently don’t have any pets of my own and also have a lot of extra time on my hands, which makes me a perfect candidate for your next pet sitter! I’m currently between jobs so I have plenty of time for walks, drop ins, belly rubs, scratches, playtime, feedings, and can even board your animal at my house if needed! I have a large fenced in yard for any animals requiring boarding. I keep my eyes on the animals at all times while outside to make sure they’re safe, but can easily crate your dog if preferred. I am equipped for drop in visits or longer extended visits too. I currently have no pets of my own in my house.
About: I grew up with dogs my whole life. Would always watch ours while my mom was on vacation. Love dogs more than anything and would love to meet yours! It doesn’t get affected to much I get a lunch break at work so I can always go home and let dogs out feed them etc. I also only work Monday - Thursday I feed my dogs and cats both. I take my dogs for walks almost everyday. They also both get fed at the same time everyday. I have to give my dog cbd treats sometimes bc she has anxiety and my cats just get treats a lot.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Independence Township
I first had Erin watch "the boys', Gilbert & Arnie (brother Tuxedo Cats) in February 2026 and she was amazing. She was here again June 26-28, 2026 and I couldn't have been more impressed and happy. She makes me feel so at ease being away because she sends text updates and pics. I absolutely recommend her and will have her as my "permanent" sitter! Thank you again Erin!!!

Our experience with having Ashley watch our cats while we were on our honeymoon, was nothing short of perfect. She made sure to ask questions about our little guys, including their preferences, their favorite toys and ways to best interact with them, and what really made us feel like she was the right choice, was she made it a priority to do whatever she could to ensure we felt comfortable. She knew our little guy Ralphie, (a very sensitive and socially needy pandemic kitten) was a concern for us when we were gone, because he really needs lots of love and attention, and she sent daily updates along with photos of both boys, and videos of playtime. We felt so at ease knowing she was there with them, and focusing on doing whatever they needed, and it really gave us the opportunity to relax, knowing our little guys were happy at home. We cannot recommend her enough and we will 100% reach out to Ashley the next time we need to go out of town. She was an absolute delight and we are so grateful to have found her!

We've never used a pet app but now we're sold thanks to Kira. She is prompt, professional. and detailed with her visit updates. Most importantly, she is so super friendly with our sweet kitty. If you're wondering who to hire to care for your pet - this is your sign - book Kira!!

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
