“I just returned home and it usually takes Lola some time to warm up to me, she came right out and has been calm. I loved how Felisha contacted me and even took photos of Lola. Thank you so much, Felisha!”

“Thank you so much Angela! We were nervous going out of town for the first time after adopting Zilla, but you put our worries right at ease. We really appreciated the meet-and-greet, all of the communication, and the photos! We’ll definitely be reaching out again next time we’re taking a trip. :)”

“Katherine did an amazing job taking care of my kitty! My cat warmed up to her immediately even though she is typically very nervous around strangers. She gave my cat a lot of attention and provided excellent care! She also gave me a very detailed description of each visit and included pictures. I highly recommend her!”

“Katelin was amazing. She went above and beyond for my babies. She even brought in packages inside my house while I was away, which she absolutely didn’t need to . My cats were well fed and happy. We love her ❤️❤️❤️”

About: I've had animals all my life- 3 cats, 2 dogs, 1 guinea pig, 3 hermit crabs, and numerous fish. I now also cat sit for my neighbor and friends when they go on vacations or trips ranging from a day to a week. I make sure I spend lots of time with their furry friends so they don't get lonely and they get the care they need. I am currently in college and working part-time (usually mornings on Thursdays and on Fridays), but my schedule allows me for ample time to check in on the furry buddies on my available days or the nighttime. I love to give my animals lots of cuddles and kisses. I make sure to give them long amounts of pets and love. If a storm is going on, I always make sure to turn on calming animal music and talk them through it. I treat animals like they are people and someone who needs care and love.
“Scott makes you feel comfortable right off the bat. Baylee was in great hands in his care. He took her for a walk even in the rain & made sure to dry her off & leave her comfortable before leaving. He is an obvious dog lover & we plan to use him many times in the future! :)”

“Theresa did an great job taking care of our dogs while we were away. She stopped by five times over the week to feed them and let them out, and everything went smoothly. Her communication was outstanding—she kept us updated and gave us peace of mind the entire time. It was clear our dogs were well cared for and comfortable. We would absolutely recommend Theresa to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy dog sitter.”

About: I have been a dog owner for a majority of my life and I have done what ever is needed to take care of them. I will feed, play, bathe, walk, give medicine, and take outside to potty. Essentially whatever is asked for me I will do. I currently volunteer with therapy dogs in a hospital and I love it! Would love to bring my skills and passion to animal owners every where. I do work full time however, weekends I am free including Friday evening and I know that may be hard to get as people travel on the weekend. I live in a safe and dog friendly neighborhood! I have a big home they can explore in. I truly watch the animals as when they move I move.
“Kelsey was wonderful with my cat, Luna! I left for 6 days and Kelsey was great about coming around the same time, spending quality time with Luna during her visit and even went above and beyond by bringing in my trash can and stopping a beeping fire alarm! I would definitely book with Kelsey again. She sent lots of photos and gave me updates each day!”

“We had the absolute pleasure of working with Arielle as our cat sitter, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. From start to finish, Arielle was not only professional but incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Her communication was stellar—each update felt like a warm check-in from a friend, complete with sweet photos and details that showed how well she got to know our cat’s personality. It’s clear Arielle treats her role with genuine care and heart. She took the time to understand our cat’s routines, quirks, and favorite toys, and her attention to those details made all the difference. When we came home, everything was spotless and our cats were calm, content, and clearly loved. That kind of peace of mind is priceless. If you’re looking for someone who brings both skill and kindness to the table, Arielle is a rare find. She didn’t just watch our cats—she cared. And that care showed in every thoughtful gesture.”

“It was last minute request, but within minutes of my sending it out, I was promptly responded to. Fairly new to Rover, but each time has been easy & very positive. Today, including. As a lab, Mack just needs people, the more the better. But, I need to leave him sometimes. There in lies the problem, thanks for prompt & attentive service this morning for Mackinac.”

About: I grew up helping train my grandparents’ corgi, and I still help my sister with her dog when she’s at work — letting him out, feeding him, and taking him for walks. So I’m very comfortable around dogs and can care for them when needed. That said, I naturally connect with cats and prefer working with them, so my services are focused on calm, low‑stress cat care. I work full‑time from home, which gives me a very steady routine and plenty of flexibility for pet care. I can easily step out for feedings, litter scooping, or home check‑ins throughout the day. I build visits around your pet’s normal schedule so they stay comfortable and relaxed. Evenings and weekends are usually open, so I’m able to give consistent attention and keep your pet’s routine running smoothly. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress‑free as possible. I handle feeding, fresh water, litter scooping, and any medications exactly the way you outline. I spend quiet time with your cat so they feel comfortable, whether that means playtime, brushing, or simply sitting nearby while they warm up on their own terms. I can also collect mail or some small house stuff as needed!

“Nicole agreed to visit my cat when my other sitter cancelled last minute. She asked great questions, was super friendly and flexible. Great communication and reports each day she visited. I felt very comfortable with Nicole taking care of my kitty. I could tell that he warmed up to her really quickly and enjoyed their visits. I would absolutely book Nicole again!!”

About: Not once in my life have I not had a pet in the house. Currently I have a 8 year old yorkie & a 2 year old lab mix. My dogs are my world! No matter the size/breed/age, I can promise you that I will treat your dog as my own! I am currently not working so I will spend all day with your loving pets! I love to go on multiple walks per day to get out of the house & even go to the park if owner of pet says it’s okay! I have 2 of the sweetest dogs that love to cuddle, play, and go to the park! They would be ecstatic to meet new friends!

Miykhayah did a fantastic job caring for my cats! She fed them, played with them, kept the litter boxes clean, and gave them lots of love. She was communicative, responsible, and trustworthy. Best of all she kept my kitties happy while I was away! I do recommend her and I would use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
