About: I have been a part time dog sitter, cat sitter, house sitter, etc since I was 10 years old. I've also been a volunteer at my local animal shelter since I was 15. I've taken care of old dogs, young dogs, energetic dogs, couch potato dogs, friendly dogs, shy dogs, big dogs, small dogs, you name it. When going for walks I like to stick to trails or sidewalked areas that have decent cell reception, just in case. I keep treats with me, extra bags, and have a phone holder for my wrist so I can have a hand free, especially for dogs who get excited from wildlife and could suddenly pull really hard anytime. I keep a pop up bowl and a bottle for water breaks. Before going for longer walks I touch test the path in case they are too hot. I also have experience putting jackets on dogs in the colder months.

I have 2 senior dogs that I’ve had since they were puppies (a Newfoundland and a Basset hound), and 3 senior cats, so I’ve gotten pretty good at taking care of older animals with health issues, including giving meds orally and topically. Due to becoming extremely busy it is best to book as far ahead of time as possible so I am able to accommodate your booking. I’m booked up to a month in advance at this point. A night boarding request is good for a 24 hour period. If the pick up time is going to be extended beyond 24 hours from the start time I will add a day care charge to the end of your booking. Hours of operation for drop offs are no earlier than 7am and pick ups no later than 8pm. If you need outside of those hours I’m happy to take your pet a night early or extend the booking for another night.

We have a fenced in yard, and plenty of space for dogs to run and play. We live a slow, laid back lifestyle. We both love to be outside, and spend many hours outdoors running, swimming, biking, or hiking. We are both animal lovers, so your pup will be welcomed into our home like he is one of our own. We do have two dogs (Gus & Opie), and two cats (Bandit & Beanie), both get along with other animals very well. I grew up with dogs my whole life and I have been dog-sitting for about 6 years. I own my own business, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I can easily modify my days to accommodate your dogs typical schedule at home. I do my very best to make them feel as comfortable as possible when staying with your dog whether in my home or at yours.

We could not be more pleased with Alexis! Immediately, she showed our pups love and they immediately gravitated to her.
