“Love sending my fur baby to Karina. She has the most pleasant personality and provides great care The best part is that she sends me lots of pictures so I still feel connected while I am away and I know my fur baby is being loved!”

“Irv was a dream! He took such good care of Amaka. I could tell through his updates and other actions that he truly liked watching Amaka. He’s also made me a better owner. Will definitely use him again!”

“We have used Steven several times for our pet boarding and he is excellent with my Spinks. Spinks is always happy and exhausted from all the exercise he gets at Steven’s. I highly recommend him for your pet sitting/boarding needs.”

“10/10 stars!! I would absolutely try boarding/cat sitting with Hali in the future. I was considerably nervous as it was the first time my cat would ever spend a night away from me. Hali made sure to keep me updated with plenty of pictures and videos of Wednesday during her stay! My cat is an anxious girl, so I appreciated the effort and patience Hali had with her. Hali was also very considerate about the fact that my cat gets anxious around dogs, and thankfully was able to provide Wednesday with a space of her own! Overall, I’m very happy with the quality of care Wednesday received and would definitely recommend booking with Hali.”

“Lindsay is the BEST!! She takes care and enjoys our pup like she’s her own!! Love dropping her off, she’s hesitant to leave and exhausted when we get home! 💕”

“Abby did a great job taking care of my german shepherd/mastiff. He felt comfortable, enjoyed exploring their house and backyard! He got to go on walks and get attention while we were out of town for the weekend.”

“Megan and her boys were amazing with my older pup, Brady! They gave him tons of cuddles and walks and frankly spoiled him. Megan is very communicative and sends tons of updates and photos. Thank you!”

“Heidi did an amazing job watching my young and crazy dog! My dog is very high energy, she is jumpy and playful and can be very needy. Heidi did a perfect job! Documented the entire stay and communicated throughout! We will be using her services again.”
“Chris was great! On time, friendly, and Bertie was happy as a clam when I got home. Event with a short notice, communication was clear and I was able to leave my home without worry. Thanks Chris!”
“Thank you for takes such amazing care of Lefty. The stay was fulled with lots of love, kindness and personnal attention. Received wonderful viedo messages updates.”

“last minute booking but felt super comfortable as mowgli had an amazing experience the last time with angelina and her family! i was so grateful for the picture updates and consistent communication.”

“Andrew took great care of my dog Theo. He was very prompt to respond and be available last minute. Thank you again for all the updates during the stay! Theo loved playing with the other pups.”

“Whitley is the absolute best! Gave our dog so much love, movement, and fun! Marshall loved playing with her dog too. She was super accommodating when our flight was delayed too.”

“Michaela was absolutely wonderful! I'm always worried about leaving our dog while on vacation, but she sent us updates and pictures of our Beatrix and I knew that she was in good hands. I really appreciated the constant communication and her flexability. I highly recommend Michaela and look forward to booking future visits with her. Thank you so much again!”

“Kshama was very nice my dog seemed very happy upon return. While we were out of town she sent many great photos of Sam and was in clear communication daily. This booking was actually the perfect fit for our senior dog Sam as well as her sweet dog, Zeus. Our dog Sam had previously been attacked by a larger dog on leash before and became more aggressive and on edge. So I was a little nervous to have them meet but her dog was so gentle, gave space and really matched my dogs (calmer) energy level. Sam enjoyed the socialization even in the fenced in backyard with the dogs next door I saw from the photos lol. We will definitely book again in the future :-)!”

“Queeny provided a safe and welcoming home away from home for our two dogs. She sent us photos or videos every day to show that the dogs were healthy and happy, and we could tell that the dogs were stress-free when we came to collect them. We like the fact that there was an enclosed yard for them to run in, and that they were the only dogs in the home. We will definitely use Queeny again!”

Vinata and her family were great with my bernedoodle Archie. We were updated with lots of cute fun photos including one of archie with a Happy Father's Day sign for my fiancé. They provide a spacious welcoming and safe space for the dogs they look after. I would absolutely recommend Vinata and her family and plan on using their services again.

June did an amazing job taking care of our Indica, the updates and photos were not just abundant but timely. June is affable, friendly and respectful, I cannot say enough good things about her as a care taker, will definitely have her take care of our Indica at anytime. Thanks for everything June.

Dominic gave excellent care to our 15 year old senior dog Kimble. We were on vacation for 3 weeks and during this time, Dominic gave Kimble his daily meds and walks. We were updated with photos of Kimble and his communication with us was timely. Would not hesitate to recommend Dominic for your pet sitting needs. I look forward to booking with Dominic again!

We are first time Rover users and are very happy at how everything went! Christina was responsive in a decent amount of time and very accommodating for our last minute booking. She sent pictures and replied to our check ins while our 5 year old Golden Retriever stayed with her & her dogs. He looked like he had a great time from the pictures 🙂 we would definitely rebook with her if we choose to use Rover again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
