About: Hi! I’m 30 years old and I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I grew up in a house full of dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities—my mom always had rescues and mixed breeds, so I’m very comfortable with different temperaments and energy levels. Today, I have my own adopted 16 lb mixed-breed dog, and caring for him has only deepened my love and experience with dogs. I’m confident handling puppies and energetic dogs, and I truly enjoy walks, playtime, and giving them attention and care. For safety reasons, I prefer not to work with dogs that are overly aggressive or difficult to manage. My experience is focused entirely on dogs, so I’m not the best fit for cats or other types of pets. I’m available to foster small dogs in my apartment. I work from home and I’m able to walk him/her 3/4 times a day. I’m also available for drop-in visits between 6 AM–8 AM and anytime after 5 PM. I live in an apartment with a fenced area, which is great for safe outdoor time. I’m also happy to take your dog on walks outside around the neighborhood. I can feed, play with, and walk your dog, making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away.
“My dog had the best time with Hali! She is a good communicator and kept me updated frequently. Her dogs are so cute and sweet and she has a lovely safe space for the dogs. So grateful my dog had her while I was on vacation!”

“Michaela took great care of my two dogs while we were out of town for a week. Provided updates regularly and they seemed to be very happy in her home. Highly recommend!”

“Melissa was amazing and took such good care of our dog when we were on vacation. This was our first time leaving him for a long period of time but I felt so comfortable knowing he was in good hands. Great communication and he seemed like he had fun! Definitely recommend”

“Megan and her boys were amazing with my older pup, Brady! They gave him tons of cuddles and walks and frankly spoiled him. Megan is very communicative and sends tons of updates and photos. Thank you!”

“Lindsay is a wonderful, knowledgeable and loving caregiver! We were nervous to try something new when our normal kennel was full, but she is a true animal lover and did an excellent job with our Cavalier King Charles sending updates and even photos! She was completely unfazed when I warned her that he might try to jump on her bed at night, and she kept the larger dogs separated from him until they got acquainted. Lindsay went above and beyond what we expected, and really has a gift. She instructed us on the proper way to remove mats upon our return, and has loads of experience with dogs of all kinds. We highly recommend her pet watching service and would definitely use her again!!”

“Alison and Parmer were amazing hosts to Bo, he looked like he had so much fun with them! They kept me updated on how his stay was going and sent pictures and videos. Very nice people who obviously love dogs!”

“We are so happy to find Irv! He understands dogs, and our sweet standard poodle came back to us even better trained! Irv was flexible in scheduling and accommodating in every way. We hope to never leave Rajah with anyone else when we travel! She has a new second home!”

“Heidi took great care of our lab. She sent daily updates and photos. Our dog played and co-existed well with her female lab. I think they bonded and will remember each other next time we board. Will repeat when needed without worry. Thank you Heidi for providing our boy with excellent care!”

“This was our second time using Kate for dog sitting and everything was great. She provides pick up and drop off services too which is so helpful and appreciated. Definitely look forward to booking again in the future.”

“I had a great experience with Cody and would absolutely book with him again. Throughout my dog’s 6-night stay, I received updates and photos on days 1, 3, and 5, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. My dog can be pretty anxious, especially in new environments, but Cody handled him with patience and care. When I picked him up, I could clearly tell he had grown comfortable and even formed a bond with Cody, which says a lot. He was nervous at drop-off, but it was reassuring to see how much more relaxed and at ease he was by the end of his stay. Cody created a safe, welcoming environment and was easy to communicate with throughout the process. I really appreciated the attention given to my dog’s needs and overall well-being. Thank you again for taking good care of him—I’d definitely trust Cody with my pup in the future.”

We had an amazing experience with Iris and Tomas! From the moment we left, they made us feel completely at ease with daily photo updates and excellent communication. They were reliable, trustworthy, and clearly cared for our dog like their own. Our pup absolutely adored them and came home happy, relaxed, and so well cared for. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our dog was in such great hands while we were away. We will definitely be booking with Iris and Tomas again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional pet care!

She was a great sitter! She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. She was very attentive to my dog’s needs, and when she had questions or concerns, she didn’t hesitate to reach out. It was clear she genuinely cared about my dog and made sure she was well taken care of. I highly recommend her!

Our rambunctious and mischievous dog Geordi was well cared-for and it seems like he really enjoyed his stay with Cara and Samuel. Communication was excellent, with good response times, proactive updates, and asking questions when needed. He found a new friend in their dog Rio and it seems like they really got along with each other. No complaints whatsoever - I would definitely be interested in hiring this kind and caring couple for pet sitting again in the future.

June did an amazing job taking care of our Indica, the updates and photos were not just abundant but timely. June is affable, friendly and respectful, I cannot say enough good things about her as a care taker, will definitely have her take care of our Indica at anytime. Thanks for everything June.

Dominic gave excellent care to our 15 year old senior dog Kimble. We were on vacation for 3 weeks and during this time, Dominic gave Kimble his daily meds and walks. We were updated with photos of Kimble and his communication with us was timely. Would not hesitate to recommend Dominic for your pet sitting needs. I look forward to booking with Dominic again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
