I wish it rained cats and dogs :)
I've been pet-sitting since I was a child, and I love animals of all shapes and sizes! I especially like to walk dogs and hang out with cats. I'm comfortable giving animals medicine. I work well with shy animals or anxious animals, especially if I know ahead of time some strategies to make them the most comfortable. That being said I love all animals from high to low energy.

I take care to approach dogs and cats gently and calmly when I first meet them until I see signs that they trust me, then it's all fun and play from there! I'm happy to send updates and pictures of your pet so you can rest easy while you're away. You can also be assured I'll leave your home the same or better than I found it.

Sydney did a great job watching my senior cat Jack. He mainly needs attention, and she spent the full 30-minute session after basic needs were taken care of giving him cuddles and spending time with him. I came back to find everything in order and a happy cat. I would absolutely book her again and recommend her!
We booked a week-long request with Sydney, with morning/evening visits. We were nervous to be away from our cat for so many days, but Sydney provided many updates and pictures during their time together that we knew he was spending quality time with a kind friend. I’m sure our cat is excited to see Sydney again for the next time she visits, she is very caring and in tune with his needs!
We’ve asked Sydney to look after our cat Vernor a few times now and working with her is a really great experience. She’s very kind, communicative, and mostly importantly, very caring to Vernor. When we return home, Vernor is always in great spirits, and we can tell he got to enjoy a lot of quality time with a loving friend. We appreciate Sydney very very much!
This was our first time working with Sydney and we couldn’t be happier that she’s a new friend in our cat’s life! During our initial visit, we could tell that Sydney was such a kind and good person. Through all of the updates and she pictures sent over, we could see that our cat was very happy and felt loved, which is all you can ask for while away.
Sydney is an outstanding caregiver, one of the best on this site. She's reliable, trustworthy, responsive, and very thorough in ensuring your pets and home receive the same care and attention you would provide them yourself. She will absolutely ensure that all you leave in her care will be treated with great mindfulness and respect.
A good human at the ready to help. Took good care of my frog and plants when away for awhile. Was easy to extend care with with trip plans changed. Even graciously helped with a bulb change on a burn out.

Schedule
I do have a wonderful and needy senior cat of my own, so I prefer to be able to take time to see him once or twice a day. I'm available every weekday before 7am and after 5pm to do check-ins or walks, other than Tuesdays. I do tend to be out of town a couple of weekends a month so I ask you reach out early for a weekend stay if possible. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!
