When I moved into my current home and getting a dog was a possibility I went to the shelter and found my perfect buddy. I love dogs and they are an important part of my life. About: My family bred dogs since I was born, so I’ve been active in animal care my whole life. Worked for a level 1 animal hospital during my pregnancy, learning the basics of emergency care for pets. I’m a stay at home mom with 2 dogs of my own that I’m already providing care and time for. I’m only away from home an hour or so at most to be able to come take care of my dogs again. I have any animals crated if I’m unable to keep my full attention on them, they are let out in a fenced yard every 1-2 hours for bathroom and extra play, and I have available extra space for special needs cases of pets that need their space.

I have screen doors and I also asked the owners how they are on leash and if their yard is enclosed or not, my house isn’t closed and I have all things up above floor level. All my stuff is like waist high and I make sure anything that our animal would chew on is up. I also asked if the pet parents have shots up-to-date. And I also asked them to provide a kennel of some sort just in case the animal needs to be put in there. About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 14 years old. I have worked with family’s pups, my owns pups, shelters, rescues, rehoming, fostering, adopting and rescuing on my own pups (like my 4 pups I have currently). About: Hello all! I am a huge animal lover and have been an avid volunteer at various shelters for many years. I have been a trusted sitter for many friends and family members, and have pets of my own who are very much part of my family. I have a great deal of experience with many different breeds, some positive reinforcement training experience, and some basic first aid/troubleshooting experience. I will always treat any animal within my care as my own, and take my responsibility of being trusted with someone's family member incredibly seriously. I work from home on a varied, part-time schedule. I plan to use the late morning/early afternoon hours when I am typically free to do walks and/or check-ins and can do overnights as needed when my schedule allows. Making sure there is not "people food" easily accessible to the pet when that's a concern, being mindful of small parts they may try to eat and choke on etc. Making sure the animal has enrichment activities to make it less likely they will chew on or destroy anything they aren't supposed to. Paying attention to notes on pet profiles, making myself aware of any concerns with cats/dogs/kids/food aggression etc. Being sure to lock & double check doors before bed or when leaving the property.

About: Well I've always lived in a home with a dog. I started taking care of dogs when I was six years old because my mom felt it was a great way to develop responsibility. Furthermore I was an only child so having a dog present makes up for the time alone. However I always watched my family members dogs often beginning at the age of ten. My family saw how responsible I was with my pet and how I admire dogs so they decided to offer me extra allowance when I watched over their dogs starting at that age (10). Later when I turned 14 and attended high school I wrote an essay about my first dogs which were two Dalmations and everyone loved it and discovered my pet sitting history with my family's dogs so it transitioned to me officially pet sitting other dogs. This helped a lot because I played sports year round in high school making it hard to find a job that would hire temporarily. My mom informed me of this site and I thought it would great to join rover and take on this golden and fun opportunity. Work isn't work when you love what you're doing.
