“Amanda is the type of care provider we had dreamed of but never thought a person like her existed. Amanda, her husband and their home were all so warm and welcoming. It is so hard to believe that she could be all things, but she was. She was a caregiver to Henry with his special diet and many pills. She was an amazing communicator to me with photos in the morning and evening. And she was a companion and best friend to Henry, who followed her everywhere! All of this made a trip overseas so much less stressful. Amanda didn’t know I was that far away and on a different time zone. She didn’t know the updates she sent helped me get to sleep each night and made me less homesick. Amanda just was being her great self and sharing the fun photos of my dog in her care. It was exceptional! Amanda even took Henry for special walks just because she could tell he liked them. It was probably freezing outside, but she did it to make him happy. Like I said, Amanda is exceptional! My husband and I have had a dog in our life since the day we got married. They were all big dogs and we often had two at the same time. We kenneled them once or twice for short stays, and it was always so obvious when they returned that boarding them was a bad idea. They’d return home with hoarse voices, so it was obvious they were unhappy and barking for long lengths of time. Because two of our dogs were adopted as adults, we have sadly already experienced the loss of three. It took us a full year after the last loss to even consider bringing another dog into our lives. We had a lot of discussions of the pros and cons. One of the cons was that we had no family nearby who could watch a new dog if we ever traveled. I said there must be someone! The pros outweighed the cons and we adopted Henry even though we had nobody to watch him when we traveled. He came with us everywhere for years and became our family. We must have passed through 18 different states with him and a few provinces in Canada. After seeing Amanda and Henry in photos and in real life, now I want to leave town just so they can hang out again. It is so rare to find even family members who love your dog as you do. With Amanda, it was obvious Henry felt loved. He came home so happy and healthy and normal. I look forward to Henry spending time again with Amanda and her husband!”

Since I work from home full-time, your pup will have constant companionship throughout the day. I am easily able to step away for regular, timely bathroom breaks, and I love using my work breaks to check in on them, stretch our legs, and truly enjoy their company. We have a fully fenced-in backyard, but please note that one portion of the fence in the back is a bit lower. Because of this, we want to ensure your pup isn't an active "fence-jumper." However, safety is my top priority! My work-from-home setup gives me full visibility of the entire backyard while I work. If there is ever any concern, I am more than happy to accompany your dog outside every time they need to do their business. About: For 18 years I’ve lived with multiple cats and since I was old enough I have been taking care of them. I currently have two cats one of which we got as a 2 month old kitten so I have experience with small kittens. I have administered oral medicine to my kitten when she was 3 months and had gotten a respiratory infection giving me experience in giving medicine to cats especially a very young one. I have experience cleaning cat litter and feeding cats.

I do currently have one dog that is back end paralyzed and loves everyone and everything. Im currently working part time from home so I will always be here with the furry friends I am caring for. I have a daily routine of getting up early, letting the doggy's outside, feeding them breakfast, going for walks when the weather allows, lots of toys to play with, feed them dinner and have a good time together. About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve had my family dog, Chutney, for over 10 years, and taking care of him is really what got me into dog sitting. I did Rover throughout college and absolutely loved it, and after taking a break during the pandemic, I’m excited to be offering my services again. Since moving to Detroit, I’ve spent the past three years dog sitting and caring for many wonderful pups. I previously worked fully remotely, and while I’m now hybrid, my schedule is still very flexible. Right now, I’m only in the office once a week for a couple of hours, and starting in July 2026 I’ll be in the office three days a week. The good news is that I get to choose my own hours, so I won’t be gone all day just a couple hours! This flexibility allows me to continue giving pets plenty of attention, companionship, walks, and care throughout the day. Pet care fits pretty easily into my daily routine because I currently work a hybrid schedule and only go into the office once a week for a couple of hours. Starting in July 2026, my schedule will shift to three in-office days per week, but I’ll still only need to be there for a couple of hours each day. I also live with my partner, who is great with dogs and typically home during the day since he works evenings, so there’s usually someone around to keep your dog company and cared for while I’m briefly in the office. This gives us plenty of flexibility to follow your dog’s routine, provide lots of attention, and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for throughout the day. I also make time for at least two walks a day, along with regular check-ins, feeding, and anything else your dog may need to feel happy and comfortable. I make it a priority to make sure your dog always feels safe and comfortable. I treat every dog as if they were my own. I give plenty of extra cuddles, attention, and quality time so they feel secure and loved while you’re away. You can trust that your pet will be in good hands.

About: I’ve had dogs for the majority of my life. Family and friends have relied on me to take care of their dogs. My husband and I have adopted 2 of our own little four-legged fur baby who rule the house! So clearly, we just pay the bills so they can continue living their best worry free life. I am a SAHM and my husband is home by 10am. While I am walking your fur baby my main focus would be your baby, making sure they got a really nice walk! We have a fenced in yard, live in front of a park with many fenced in areas, and have two fur babies to keep your fur baby company while your away. Moving to Wyandotte changed that as we both commute to work and coming home for lunch is not a possibility. Finding Erin was a God-send. For not only is she an awesome friend to Gabe but she is responsible, dependable and willing to switch her schedule to accommodate ours. That’s pretty hard to find no matter where you live. Erin is not only our dogs best buddy but also becoming our friend as well. Gabe’s ears raise to attention when we say “Erin is coming today.” Gabe makes happy noises when Erin comes into the house. Erin has blessed our lives by being that special someone we can trust to come into our house, take our dog for a walk, spend meaningful times with him and leave the house as secure as she found it. About: While this is my first time as a sitter/walker on an app like this I am very experienced with animals including dogs and cats. I am experienced with dog walking and caring for pet’s basic needs. I currently have a very open schedule so I will be able to visit or walk your pets with little scheduling conflicts. I will be attending community college in the fall starting in late August but I will update my schedule when it does change. I take safety for pets extremely seriously. Doors are a high alert area because I know how sneaky some pets can be once a door is opened. I have my own experience with stopping my own dogs and even cats from getting out either by body blocking the door or picking the cats up and moving them to a safe place. While on walks I like to keep my dogs at my side and always stay clear of other dogs or animals.

About: Hi! My name is Yvonne, and I would love to care for your dog/cat. I will always do anything possible to make them feel 100% comfortable and happy. I have 10 years experience caring for children ages 0-6 and would love to extend that care to your fur babies. When you book my services, I would love to know their favorite toy, food, treat, place to sleep, and/or if they have a favorite place to get scratches/rubs! Your pet's comfort and trust is my priority, along with your trust and respect. If there is ever any issues or questions, please don't hesitate and let me know. I'm always happy to help! I currently have a part time job working late nights, so I am available to do drop-ins or walks on most afternoons during the week. About: I've had pets all my life, so I have a lot of experience caring for them. I also have experience dog sitting for family members. I've had to take care of dogs that have needed daily medication also. I have experience with large and small dogs. I'm comfortable around all breeds. Most of the dogs I have had have been larger dogs, dobermans, boxers, pit bulls, etc. I have recently committed to staying home full time, so I have plenty of time to give your fur baby the Love and attention they need and deserve. At this time I'm only able to do drop ins and walks, but I give every fur baby my full and complete attention, caring for their every need.
About: Growing up, I’ve always had close bonds with animals, whether it was dogs, cats, birds or even lizards and they’d always take a liking to me. I’d love spending time with them, walking, petting them or even just hanging out. I usually pet sit on my off days but eventually I’d want to do this full time.:) I’ll slowly start to migrate to a full time of doing Rover. I make sure I follow all the instructions given to make sure a safe space is provided. Medication schedule, walking schedule and even special procedures included.

“Amanda is the type of care provider we had dreamed of but never thought a person like her existed. Amanda, her husband and their home were all so warm and welcoming. It is so hard to believe that she could be all things, but she was. She was a caregiver to Henry with his special diet and many pills. She was an amazing communicator to me with photos in the morning and evening. And she was a companion and best friend to Henry, who followed her everywhere! All of this made a trip overseas so much less stressful. Amanda didn’t know I was that far away and on a different time zone. She didn’t know the updates she sent helped me get to sleep each night and made me less homesick. Amanda just was being her great self and sharing the fun photos of my dog in her care. It was exceptional! Amanda even took Henry for special walks just because she could tell he liked them. It was probably freezing outside, but she did it to make him happy. Like I said, Amanda is exceptional! My husband and I have had a dog in our life since the day we got married. They were all big dogs and we often had two at the same time. We kenneled them once or twice for short stays, and it was always so obvious when they returned that boarding them was a bad idea. They’d return home with hoarse voices, so it was obvious they were unhappy and barking for long lengths of time. Because two of our dogs were adopted as adults, we have sadly already experienced the loss of three. It took us a full year after the last loss to even consider bringing another dog into our lives. We had a lot of discussions of the pros and cons. One of the cons was that we had no family nearby who could watch a new dog if we ever traveled. I said there must be someone! The pros outweighed the cons and we adopted Henry even though we had nobody to watch him when we traveled. He came with us everywhere for years and became our family. We must have passed through 18 different states with him and a few provinces in Canada. After seeing Amanda and Henry in photos and in real life, now I want to leave town just so they can hang out again. It is so rare to find even family members who love your dog as you do. With Amanda, it was obvious Henry felt loved. He came home so happy and healthy and normal. I look forward to Henry spending time again with Amanda and her husband!”

About: For over 25 years, our home has never been without a dog. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our beloved boy, Blue, this past year, and we deeply miss the daily joy and warmth a pet brings to a household. Right now, our family is in a transition period as our daughter heads off to college to play softball. Before we commit to a new pet of our own, we want to see how her game and travel schedule unfolds so we can ensure we have the proper time and dedication a permanent dog deserves. Caring for your pet gives us the wonderful opportunity to welcome that familiar canine joy back into our lives, while giving your dog a warm, experienced, and incredibly attentive "home away from home" where they will be treated like family. Since I work from home full-time, your pup will have constant companionship throughout the day. I am easily able to step away for regular, timely bathroom breaks, and I love using my work breaks to check in on them, stretch our legs, and truly enjoy their company. We have a fully fenced-in backyard, but please note that one portion of the fence in the back is a bit lower. Because of this, we want to ensure your pup isn't an active "fence-jumper." However, safety is my top priority! My work-from-home setup gives me full visibility of the entire backyard while I work. If there is ever any concern, I am more than happy to accompany your dog outside every time they need to do their business. Daily Routine & Preferences Once the workday wraps up, it’s all about the dogs—longer neighborhood walks and dedicated playtime are always on the horizon! I am incredibly comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic young pups to gentle seniors, provided they are fully house-trained.

About: I've been caring for animals all my life and have grown up with them always in the home. I work hard to make sure they feel welcomed and love while in my care since I know it can be hard for them being away from family. I have fostered and volunteered with rescues and local shelters for 10 years. I have also been a wildlife rehabber for 6 years and greatly enjoy helping all animals in need. I do currently have one dog that is back end paralyzed and loves everyone and everything. Im currently working part time from home so I will always be here with the furry friends I am caring for. I have a daily routine of getting up early, letting the doggy's outside, feeding them breakfast, going for walks when the weather allows, lots of toys to play with, feed them dinner and have a good time together. We also work on basic training and enjoying lots of love and cuddles. I have a fenced in yard, wonderful neighbors and a welcoming environment for even nervous dogs. I have baby gates set up as well to keep everyone safe.

About: I've had dogs all my life. We just just put our dog down after 12 years from being raised as a puppy. Our family isn't ready for a new dog yet, but we love the company! As a teacher, my summer is dedicated to being home and active! I am looking forward to a summer filled with backyard play and plenty of attention for our guest pups. Since we’ll be home the vast majority of the time, your dog will have constant companionship. While we might head out for the occasional short day trip or camp drop-off, our schedule is primarily centered around being home, making us very flexible for drop-offs, pick-ups, and mid-day belly rubs! Your pup’s safety is our top priority! We have a fully fenced-in backyard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore under constant supervision. Our home is a family environment with three kids who are taught to be gentle and respectful with animals, so we do require that any guest dogs be kid-friendly. Inside, we have stairs, so please let us know if your pup has any mobility issues or needs assistance. We are also happy to crate your dog for meals or naps if that is what they are used to at home. Since we currently have no other pets, your dog will receive 100% of our attention and love during their stay
