“Emily, Jason & Larry were excellent hosts!! Upon my request for a sitter, they suggested a meet & greet between our dogs. They were welcoming and caring about insuring the dogs were compatible. We agreed on letting Nanook stay. They were very communicative about what our dog was up to, how he was getting along with Larry and they sent photos too. After the stay we were surprised to have received a thank you note and a personalized treat in our bag. That was such a sweet touch! We would definitely book with Emily & Jason again! Nanook enjoyed his stay with them and Larry!”

Leaving my dog for a week while I was on vacation was a little nerve-wracking, but Cody immediately put me at ease. From our first interaction, it was clear that he is very experienced with dogs and genuinely enjoys caring for them. I have a high-energy Border Collie/Aussie mix, and he handled him wonderfully. He got plenty of attention, exercise, and care, and I could tell he was comfortable and happy during his stay. I also really appreciated was the regular updates and photos he sent throughout the week. It was so reassuring to see how he was doing and know he was in good hands. I would absolutely trust him with my dog again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative sitter.”

“Lukis was a literal godsend!! I got photo updates during the visit, which I loved, and my cat was so appreciative of the food and attention 😄 I will 1000% be booking with Lukis again, and I highly encourage anyone who needs a pet sitter in this general area to do so as well!! (Side note, if you have a cat that isn’t super friendly, my cat Honey is very particular about new people and strangers and she was completely fine with Lukis—so she also gives the official Stamp of Approval™️).”

About: I grew up with cats and have grown adept at understanding their social cues. I understand that every cat is different, and as such I will always let them take the lead when it comes to interaction. Additionally, I volunteer with the human society, which has given me exposure to working with cats from less than a week old to ones well over 15. This work has also given me experience in working with cats with all sorts of special needs, both physical and psychological. Whatever your kitty's needs (and wants) are, I'm sure I can provide them!

About: Hi! I’ve loved animals my whole life and have cared for dogs for as long as I can remember, from old to young. I’ve also had a cat for many years in my life, so I’m comfortable with both dogs and cats! I love spending time with animals, going on walks with them, playing with them, and making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved. I’d be excited to meet your furry friend! I am currently a CCA at USPS, so summer can be slow at times, and I normally have mornings until about 12 pm available and any time after 7 or so available. Saturday nights and Sundays are the only days of the week on a week to week bases that I can guarantee that I will be available for overnight and all-day care. I currently don't have any of my pets living with me, but occasionally they come over from Lansing and hang out with me, and we walk around the city, go to some of my secret walking spots scattered around detroit and just hang out. Its a good time!

“Evelyn took wonderful care of our 4 babies while we were away for a week. Our cats were loved on and this cat mom was so pleased to see the updates and pictures come through. I highly recommend Evelyn’s services and I know we’ll be a returning customer!”

“Caitie is super!! So kind and communicative. My cat is so happy and calm when I arrive home. I know she is so well tended to and loved on in Caitie’s care. I love receiving the photos Caitie sends. It is just complete peace of mind to know my little rescue tortie is such good hands. Thank you so much!!!”

“Erik did a fantastic job of caring for my kitties! He was able to accommodate a last-minute request, his communication with me was perfect, and I couldn’t have been happier with the care he took with my cats and my home. I’ll definitely be calling him again! Thank you, Erik!”

About: I’ve spent my entire life with cats, and have never not had a multi-cat household. I have experience with kittens, elderly cats, low energy cats, high energy cats, cats that aren’t fans of people, and cats that can’t get enough of people. My best friend Isaac (shown in the photo) is FIV+, FHV+, and has CKD. My other cat Reuben had his teeth removed for FIV related complications, and takes multiple medications daily. I am extremely familiar with administering medications to a cat who does not want to take them. I also foster with Detroit Alley Cats on the side, and have plenty of experience with caring for unfamiliar cats. 🐈⬛ 🐈
“Victoris is personable and professional. I rebooked with her 2 additional times. My son is Roscoe's owner. He has been in the hospital and Victoria sent pics and videos that really lifted his spirits. Would definitely rebook.”

“Jessica was amazing with our new puppy! She was able to accommodate us on short notice, which we really appreciated. She walked him, fed him, played with him, and even introduced him to other little puppies so he could socialize. She greeted me warmly and treated both of us with such kindness. Our pup came home happy and tired from all the fun. We will definitely be coming back!”

About: It took almost 20 years, but I finally made my Nintendogs dreams come true when I got my own little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I've been a proud dog owner for over 5 years and have provided petsitting services for neighbors, friends and family for a few years. Thanks to my obsession with my own dog, I have a deep understanding of dog behavior, from potty training and obedience training to teaching basic commands and leash training. My girl loves tricks for treats. I owned a children's toy brand and now work from home full time as a Director of Creative Strategy where I get to spend all day with my pet and yours. I take my Cavalier Sol on multiple walks through out the day in my neighborhood which has beautiful tree lined streets and a huge park for running and rolling in grass. I prefer working with moderate energy dogs, but I'm also open to watching puppies and senior dogs. I want to make sure dogs feel safe and comfortable which has led to me rescuing strays a few times. Your fur baby will be just as loved as mine. Even more so because they will be missed. If you're looking for a dedicated and reliable pet sitter, I’d love to meet your four legged love. I currently work from home which has allowed me to be available for my own pet and others. I do morning, afternoon and evening walks. We have outdoor play sessions and I provide enrichment toys and treats to keep them stimulate. I live in a private building within walking distance to a park. My apartment is spacious but I can see every inch of it so no one is ever out of sight. I am able to provide proof of my dogs up to date vaccination. I require pet parents share proof of up to date vaccinations.
“This was a last minute booking which turned from 2-3 hours to 6+ due to an emergency, but Pallavi went above and beyond at taking care of Mylo! Cannot be more appreciative and would 100% recommend! Thank you so much!”

“Friendly, professional, compassionate, attentive,.courteous and so much more...Beverly is a phenomenal caretaker for my precious little furrbaby. She communicated with me regularly during her first visit and that put my mind at ease. I only have positive things to say about my experience and plan to rebook. Thanks Beverly 💎”

About: Pet family member for 19 yrs, pet sitting for 10yrs. From pups to seniors & cats to sick pets. Comfort care and attention for senior pets. This is my main source of income so pet car is everyday, detailed, with patience and love. I plan walks every 3-4 hrs with parks and dog friendly spaces at the forefront. I pet care in home as well as in client spaces. Over night care as well, basic pet bathing. Medication given if/when given. Play and exercise also a given.

About: Hi! I’ve fostered both dogs and cats throughout all four years of college, including caring for sick pets and administering medications when needed. Animals have always been a huge part of my life—so much so that my family genuinely thought I would grow up to be a veterinarian. I’m currently a medical student and spend most of my time at home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and care. I treat every animal as if they were my own and truly love providing a safe, calm, and affectionate environment for them. My partner Matthew is occasionally around and helps lend an extra hand, but I am always the primary caregiver responsible for your pet’s care. I have a flexible schedule and spend much of my time at home studying, which allows me to provide consistent care, walks, and attention throughout the day. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening routines, and I keep my schedule light when I’m caring for a pet to make sure they feel comfortable and well looked after. I live in a cozy, clean apartment in a very walkable area near the DIA. My building is extremely pet-friendly and even offers dog treats in the lobby. I provide a calm, safe environment and give each pet plenty of attention, affection, and supervision. I follow owners’ routines closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care needs, so your pet feels comfortable and at home.
About: Passionate animal lover with professional pet care experience since 2018. Over the years, I've worked in veterinary clinics, grooming salons as an assistant bather, and in dog daycare settings, giving me experience with pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. I'm comfortable with caring for multiple pets at once, administering medications, sticking to an organized walking/feeding schedule, and providing individualized attention to each pet's unique needs. Whether your pet loves playtime, cuddles, long walks, or simply a calm and reassuring presence, I'm committed to making them feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, so I make communication a priority. You'll receive regular updates and plenty of adorable photos that capture the best side of your pet's personality and daily adventures. I treat every pet as if they were my own and look forward to providing dependable, compassionate care for your beloved companions I work part-time and pet sit part-time so my schedule is very flexible but it changes. I could be working 2 PM to 7 PM 9:30 AM to 3 PM or 9:30 AM to 7 PM. I can align best with parents whose pet is used to them going to work. I will always be off Friday and Sunday. I get my schedules on Wednesday that is the best time to book with me to know what my schedule for the next week is looking like. I do sometimes sit more than one pet at a time unless you let me know that your pet is reactive to other dogs or you are not comfortable with other pets being in the home, and I do make sure that they are separate while I am not in the home, but I do not have any other pets of my own so if that is something that you are adamant about, please let me know and try to book as soon as possible so I can decline other bookings on the dates that you are needing thank you so much for your patience and flexibility as well. I hope to work with you soon. I live in a pet friendly community in Midtown. The area includes designated pet relief stations with waste bags readily available, making it easy to keep the environment clean and comfortable. Im only a five-minute walk from a local dog park where dogs can enjoy additional activity and socialization, with owner permission. I prioritize safety at all times by keeping pets supervised, following their regular routines, and ensuring they have a clean, secure, and welcoming environment while in my care
About: I'm not just a pet sitter; I'm a pet enthusiast and caregiver with a passion for personalized care. I’ll treat your pups like he/she is my own child. Apart of my workout routine is walking, I have a mini golden doodle that I walk between classes/daily life schedule and I thought to myself why not make extra income doing something I love? I care for pets in my home as I would a clients home. I treat my baby like he’s my actual child! I’ve worked with children prek-2nd grade and always compare petsitting to babysitting because it takes the same skills!

About: I have been the trusted family and friend dog sitter for over 15 years, consistently being the first person people turn to whenever they go out of town. I grew up in a home surrounded by animals, so caring for pets has always felt natural to me and has become a true part of who I am. I recently lost my Shih Tzu due to old age, which also gave me meaningful experience caring for a senior dog and understanding the patience, attentiveness, and gentle care older pets require. I truly enjoy being around animals and providing them with comfort, companionship, and routine care. I especially miss having a little “fur companion” around and look forward to giving that same love and attention to every pet I care for. I work from home, which allows me to provide a highly flexible and reliable schedule for pet care throughout the day. I am able to accommodate morning, midday, evening, and even last-minute requests depending on availability. Because I am home-based, pets in my care receive consistent attention, regular check-ins, walks, and companionship rather than being left alone for long periods. I can easily adjust my routine to meet feeding schedules, medication times, and exercise needs, ensuring each pet’s normal routine is maintained as closely as possible while their owner is away. I care for pets by focusing on maintaining their normal routine, comfort, and safety while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if they are my own, making sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and consistent care throughout the day. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, walks, and any special instructions such as medications or behavioral needs. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet owners can feel confident and connected while they are apart from their pets. The services I offer include dog walking, drop-in visits, boarding, and house sitting. During walks, I ensure pets get safe, enjoyable exercise suited to their energy level. For drop-ins, I provide feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship. For boarding and house sitting, I create a calm, caring environment where pets feel secure and receive ongoing attention, routine care, and supervision. My goal is to make sure each pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for from start to finish.
“Ashley was so easy to book with, and sent great updates and photos of my dog Harry. He came from the visit happy and rested, I will definitely book with her again if I’m ever in the area again.”

“Daniella is the best! She took amazing care of our little angel, Millie, on almost no notice when we visited Detroit for an event. We had searched high and low for a daycare center in the area before happening upon Rover.com. Daniella was extremely flexible and accommodating with our evolving schedule. Millie loved her at first sight and was well entertained during her stay. We can't say enough good things about Daniella!”

About: I have been with pets since I was 5 years old and I have had different breeds of dog in different phases of my life. Caring for a pet is the most natural thing that I could do. I am basically from India and I have not been able to get a pet after I reached Canada which is like almost 2 years. So when I heard about Rover, I just jumped at the opportunity to relive my old life that I was yearning for. Dogs are my favourite but I can take care of cats as well. We have a spacious apartment so your pets can enjoy running around. The neighbourhood is also a safe place. I proudly call myself a dog mom because thats how I care for the universe’s best species.
“Tara took great care of our dog Marvin—this was the second time they’ve watched him, and both experiences have been excellent. They were responsive, reliable, and clearly have a natural way with animals. Marvin was happy and relaxed when we picked him up and excited to return for his second stay, which says a lot. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Tara again and highly recommend them as a sitter.”

“Excellent communication. Expectations of what was needed from me was made very clear, constant response to text messages before, during and after the appointment. Would definitely recommend”

About: I love all animals and grew up with dogs, both rescues, one big one small. Although I don’t have a pet of my own now, Rover gives me the chance to give care and spend time with the furry friends that give us unconditional love. I’m currently working freelance so I have the flexibility of making my own schedule, and time to spend giving attention to your pets and whatever needs they have. I know how important it is for pets to feel safe in their own space. My first priority is to make your dog or cat feel comfortable with me.
About: We took care of our beloved dog for all 12 years of her life. Our house is fully equipped to give your dog a comfortable stay, including a fenced in back yard. And our kids will make sure your dog is entertained and well-loved. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, my husband and I are both gone at work from 7:30am-5pm. So ideally, your dog would be comfortable being alone for an extended period of time if they are with us on those days. All the other days of the week, someone will be home. We have a large house, designated pet area within the home, and a fenced in backyard. We have all the basic amenities to make your dog stay easy on you and comfortable for your dog. We have no other pets currently in the home, but we do have three kids ranging from 3-12 who are comfortable around dogs and have learned how to appropriately play with them.

“Mary is great with my pitty!! She always did what I needed done and found the time to squeeze him in even in busy days! She does have a bad ankle so due to that we had to switch over so if u have a bigger stronger dog who pulls or is reactive, may be best to find someone else. But otherwise she did the job and walked him even with that ankle :)! She helped us find other options as well and always had tips to help when issues were brought up. She seems to really care about the animals and what they need.”

About: I’ve had multiple years of experience with senior dogs, pets needing help with medication, or energetic pets requiring lots of play. I have two cats myself. I’m a musician with a flexible schedule so I can make time whenever they need me. Happy to do over nights or pop in visits. Ive found it best to try to keep animals routines and schedules as regular as possible from what they’re used to to minimize their stress.
“I had a regular walker cancel for a life interruption last minute on my midterm test day and Lukis was wonderful. It was as if they were Kronk’s caretaker for months. He was happy and I had no worries about him while I was testing. I would definitely go to them again for any caretaking needs in the future.”

“Azariah is the best! She accommodated last minute and my girls loved her! They are dog reactive and have to be walk separately and Azariah had no problem either. She’s the sweetest and communicated well with me. 10/10 will recommend and will be using her again”

I don't mind cleaning, I love super active animals, and I'm confident and reliable in caretaking. I work independently as an artist and curator, so I make my own schedule, so I always have plenty of time for your fur baby. My goal is to put your mind at ease while you’re away, and treat your pets like they are my own. Please don’t hesitate to provide me with any and all detailed requests for your furry friends! About: I grew up taking every opportunity I could to care for and spend time with my neighbors' dogs and had a family dog for 6 years. I have experience with administering oral and topical medications, as well as with treating minor wounds and infections. I also volunteer regularly at the Humane Society which has given me extra experience with dogs with trauma or disabilities, and senior or unsocialized dogs. I'm currently only working in-person during the evenings Monday-Thursday. Other than that I'm mostly working from home and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I unfortunately don't have a yard or lots of room in my apartment but I live only a short walk from a dog park, which I'd be able to visit regularly. I mostly work from home so I'm able to give frequent walks and snuggles!
About: I've been around dogs my whole life, my parents raised seeing eye dogs, and I helped with training and daily care from a young age. In my teens, I helped my mom run a small dog-boarding business out of our home, so I'm used to dogs with all kinds of temperaments and routines. Over the years, I've often been the go-to friend for dogs that need a little extra patience or understanding, whether that's a shy senior or a high-energy handful. I recently lost my own pup, and while l'm not ready for another full-time, I miss having a dog around and love being able to offer that care and attention to someone else's. I'm currently working on fixing up my very old duplex so I'm home, tinkering around most of the time, and my schedule is flexible. If you're worried about your pet being in a construction zone, not to worry! The living area is safe and segmented from anything that might be hazardous yet intriguing to your pet. I have a partially fenced yard, perfect for supervised play. Living in midtown means that there's plenty of interesting things to smell along walks. I can crate your dog if needed, and you're welcome to bring their own if that makes them most comfortable. I have quite a few house plants in my space, so please let me know if your pup is prone to chewing on them and I will move them out of the way for their visit.

About: I’ve always had a special fondness for animals ; my first word as a baby was “Maggie” , which is the name of our golden retriever who would live to be 17 years old. Guided by buddhist philosophy, my love for fuzzy mammals has expanded outward to include all living things & has to approach even the most difficult situations gently & with empathy. In the years preceding my “Eureka!” Moment of wanting to become a trainer, i worked as a walker & sitter for 3 years in NYC at a place called brooklyn bow wow and later worked for a trainer named Daniel Nogueira for another 2 years. Periodically we would have workshops with Mark Bennett (CPDT-KA) which informed my ability to improve leash behaviors & develop a behavioral modification strategy of positive reinforcement (most domesticated dogs do not respond well to negative feedback ; they don’t understand why they are being yelled at! 🥹) Eventually I had to eschew the dream job to take on a better-paying gig to pay my astronomical rent, which sucked, so my instincts all led me back to the midwest to continue pursuing my goal of becoming a certified trainer. I have all of the availabilty currently! I do freelance work & make my own schedule, so i’m plenty flexible & available to spend quality time with furry friends. I very much enjoy using the excuse to get outside & get some exercise. I have a big wide open loft space for moderate zooming & places for beds & toys. I can divide the place into 4 different rooms in case they get too worked up and need some separate time away from eachother
About: I grew up with three cats and help train dogs through the Leadershape! Now I typically share my dog sitting assistance with my friends (for free even!) although I don’t have pets in my own all animals will find a warm welcoming home here I’m currently working full-time, but I work in the evenings and come home on my breaks so plenty of time to check in on our furry friend during the work week I live in an apartment that has a fenced in yard for dogs and a neighborhood park nearby. I’ve sat for large dogs while living here and their needs have been accommodated!
About: From a young age I have enjoyed taking care of pets and watching them grow. My own dog I raised from a puppy as a kid and my cat I care for now have taught me how close to the heart pets are kept. Many friends have trusted me with their cats and dogs to ensure they receive proper guardianship while they are away from home. It is an enjoyable experience for us both I currently work from home and have plenty of flexibility for bookings. On the days that I don’t work I have open availability for bookings as well From my experience in taking care of pets, I always make sure the door to your home is kept closed and locked. When we go outside for walks I always double check the security of the leash and collar. If there are specific care instructions I make sure to review them carefully, and I will never hesitate to reach out if I am unsure about anything

“I was nervous because this was the first time I'd left Picasso with someone he didn't know. Ekow was extremely kind and sent updates of a happy dog daily, which made me feel much better. We've found a new sitter and I will definitely be reaching out anytime we need a sitter. Five stars!!”

“Whitney and Samuel took excellent care of Kodi! He was so happy with them. They sent pictures and gave updates. I will definitely book with them again!”

“We would definitely recommend Steven for his pet sitting services. He watched our two kittens for a week that needed a little extra care. He sent pictures and videos frequently so we wouldn’t miss the babies too much. Steven has a lot of knowledge and experience with animals and we would absolutely book with him again. Thank you!”

“Our dog had a great time at Queeny’s house. She periodically sent us pictures and responded promptly. Our dog enjoyed playing in her fenced in yard. We will definitely book with her again!”

“my dog had a short weekend at their house and they were great with updates! she had some separation anxiety and made sure she felt comfortable throughout the night ❤️”

“Thank you Angela! She took wonderful care of our dog, Budd. Helped manage his anxiety during thunderstorms, kept us up to date on how he was adjusting, and send sweet photos!”

“Oliver had an amazing time with Whitley and her pup Ollie! They were so cute together, playing and having fun. I was nervous as this was the first time Oliver stayed with someone he didn’t know and Whitley made him feel comfortable and happy. Thank you!”

“This was my first time using Rover, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

“Elizabeth was great communicating and letting us know the status of our dog Chico. We were very please with her care and services. Looking forward to booking her again!”

“Best experienced ever. Nia was great. So was Phillip. Great folks. They took good care of Lilly. They were very engaged and sent us pics as well as video. There was plenty of room in the yard for our dog to play. I highly recommend them. We will call on them again soon.”

“There are not enough wonderful things to say about Leslie. First time leaving my senior babies behind was stressful... until I met Leslie that is. She was wonderful with my girls. I didn't worry about them at all I knew they were in the best care possible. If you want someone who will care for your babies like they are their own than book Leslie! I will be!”

“Jess was very accommodating on a last minute trip I had planned. She was very flexible with my schedule and availability to meet. I was extremely nervous as this was my first time utilizing Rover, as I usually book with PetSmart but I wanted to make sure my senior dog was well taken care of as boarding can be stressful for older dogs. Once we had the meet and greet, my dogs immediately loved Jess. She made sure that their routine stayed as close to the same as at home to ensure their comfort, and sent pictures and updates daily (which I loved). Even when we picked our dogs up, they still wanted to play and love on her so I knew they had a blast. If you’re wary about booking with Jess, this review is for you, she was absolutely awesome.”

“Lukis was fantastic with my cat! Very experienced with cats, and sent regular updates during boarding. My cat was so happy to stay with her! Will definitely recommend Lukis and look to book with her again.”

“All I can say is Rahied is AMAZING!! My 18yr old blind and deaf baby Coco and are beyond blessed to have found him🙏🏾 He was so attentive, sent updates with pictures daily! Caring for a senior dog is very challenging and exhausting but Rahied made this stay so pleasant for my baby. Feed her by hand, let her drink from her bowl by hand, held her when she cried, administered her medication and so much more😫 I felt so comfortable leaving my baby with him, my spirit told me HE was the one & my spirit does NOT LIE! Forever grateful🤞🏾 If you desire compassion, attentive & extra love while being in the care of a sitter, please don't hesitate to book Rahied Hi🫶🏾 If my baby live another season, Rahied is our choice! Thank you again❤️”
