“Thank you Angela! She took wonderful care of our dog, Budd. Helped manage his anxiety during thunderstorms, kept us up to date on how he was adjusting, and send sweet photos!”

“Nia was an excellent sitter for Merlin! She was kind, patient (he had an unexpected accident in her home), and attentive to his high energy need for outside play time in her huge yard. She sent me pictures, assuring me of his adjustment and fun. Because it was a quick booking, I appreciated her willingness to take him after our video conferencing. I highly recommend her for other furbabies’ care and will be reaching out again for future boarding services! Thank you!”

“I was nervous because this was the first time I'd left Picasso with someone he didn't know. Ekow was extremely kind and sent updates of a happy dog daily, which made me feel much better. We've found a new sitter and I will definitely be reaching out anytime we need a sitter. Five stars!!”

“Jessica was super easy to work with, accommodating and her energy is 10/10. We have a big rescue puppy who did so well with Jessica, and we think was sad to leave her. Will definitely use again in the future.”

“Evelyn is always so fantastic with our elderly little dog. She sends plenty of pictures and keeps us informed of how he's doing the whole time we are away. We are so grateful for her!”

“Steven was a great sitter. I was a little nervous at first but Steven sent daily pictures and videos, I was able to see Raven become more relaxed and comfortable each day. I was very satisfied and would definitely book Steven again and recommend him to others.”

“I have no complaints about her at all, my dogs were well taken care of and Natalia was super understanding and lenient with timing, I will definitely be booking with her again whenever I need”

“Whitley was amazing!! Otis is an active guy and there were no shortage of action packed adventures. Otis and Whitley's dog Ollie had a fun and became best buddies. Whitely shared updates 2 times daily and I had complete peace of mind! I highly recommend her! We will be back for sure!!”

“Queeny always takes such great care of Kaju! We went away on a two-week trip and I don’t think Kaju wanted to leave Queeny’s - even running back to her for one last goodbye! She sends photos and status updates on any new friends he has made during his stay. I know I can trust her to take great care of Kaju and I will always recommend her!! Your pup will be in great hands 😊”

“If you have a small dog, Beverly is unreal. My frenchie loves going to her home. She is given so much love, care and attention the entire time she is there. She has her own bed and rest area during the day with lots of toys. She never goes in a crate or cage, and plays all day long. At night Beverly lets my cookie sleep in the bed. If you are reading this go no further, Beverly provides unbelievable care. I would never consider an overnight kennel and once you try Beverly to babysit you wont either. Thank you Beverly for caring for my baby.”

“So happy I booked with Kayla to sit my pup while I was on vacation. She kept my mind at ease with all the pictures and the updates. I felt confident she would treat my dog right. I definitely plan on booking with her again in the near future.”

“Nani had a longer stay with Cody and I had no concerns! He did a great job following additional instructions due to the longer stay and kept me updated throughout my trip. I feel confident in Cody and his ability to intervene and mediate between dogs in case any overexcitement or aggression happens. I feel comfortable leaving Nani with him knowing she’s in good hands!”

“Thank you so much to Kayla for taking care of Clio in her home while I was away. I truly appreciated her genuine care and easygoing nature -- I felt much more at ease. Communication before and during boarding was solid. And it's a bonus that Kayla lives so close to where I do, meaning the kitty didn't have to endure an extended car ride. Thank you again!”

“Theresa and Adrian met me at a hectic time in my life! I had a broken foot and was trying to coordinate a trip out of state while remodeling my kitchen. I was overwhelmed and scattered brained but they were both so kind and understanding. They even came to pick up and drop off Pep, a huge help with my broken foot. They took excellent care of my girl, who had a great time. We'll definitely use them again!”

“Renee has watched Skylar 3 times now. I seriously think our dog likes her more than us! She does so much with her! Walks, playtime, games…even bakes her treats! So glad I found someone I can trust with our little girl.”

“Lisa was great with Bear! She sent us photos while we were away and treated him like her own. We felt totally comfortable knowing he was in good hands and would definitely book her again.”

“Tracey was awesome! We left our dog with her for the weekend and he had a blast. She was very responsive and sent us photos and updates everyday. We will definitely be coming back!”

“Could not recommend Breanna more. She took such good care of our Lexy. Her dogs and cat are fantastic and welcomed Lexy into their home. She sent us updates with videos every day”

“Tara was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly friendly, communicative, and so flexible when my return plans changed—I really appreciated how accommodating she was. Rosie clearly bonded with her right away and loved the walks, attention, and care Tara gave her. It gave me such peace of mind knowing Rosie was in such good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Tara again—she’ll definitely be one of the first people I reach out to for future care!”

“My very shy cats warmed up to Chetoya very quickly! She was consistent, thorough and thoughtful in her care. I appreciated her daily photos and check-ins with my two floofs. She always responded immediately if I had questions. Thank you, Chetoya!??”

About: Hi, I’m Megan — a lifelong animal lover and dedicated pet care provider based in beautiful East English Village. I live with my two friendly, well-socialized dogs who enjoy the company of other calm, respectful pups. I provide a personalized, low-volume boarding experience from my home, where your dog becomes part of our little pack. My services are designed with your pet’s comfort and safety in mind. I only board one guest dog at a time, ensuring constant supervision, individual attention, and a peaceful, low-stress environment. Whether you’re looking for drop-in visits, a walk while you’re at work, or overnight care, I treat every animal like one of my own — with affection, patience, and professional care. I provide updates with every visit, and I’m happy to accommodate custom routines, feeding schedules, and medication administration when needed. Let’s schedule a free meet-and-greet to make sure it’s a great match! Caring for animals is a natural part of my daily life — I structure my routine around it. With two dogs of my own, I’m already up early for walks, feeding, and snuggles. I work from home, which allows me the flexibility to provide frequent potty breaks, plenty of supervision, and lots of one-on-one attention throughout the day. Because I intentionally limit my boarding and walking services to just a few clients at a time, I’m able to give each pet my full focus without being overbooked or rushed. Whether I’m doing a drop-in visit, hosting a pup overnight, or stopping by for a midday walk, I plan my calendar so your pet gets reliable, unrushed, high-quality care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities — whether they’re staying in my home or I’m visiting them in yours. BOARDING AT MY HOME: When boarding in my home, I provide a calm, structured, and low-stress environment by only accepting one guest dog at a time. This allows me to give each pet plenty of individual attention and supervision throughout the day. I have two friendly, well-socialized resident dogs who are used to having guests and do best with other well-mannered pups. I take time to carefully introduce everyone, and I require a meet-and-greet prior to first-time bookings to ensure everyone is a good fit. My home is pet-safe, clean, and set up with cozy resting areas, a large and securely fenced outdoor space, and plenty of enrichment opportunities like walks, playtime, and snuggles. I also follow the pet’s routine as closely as possible to make their stay feel familiar and reassuring. FOR DROP INS I aim to maintain your pet’s routine in their own environment, minimizing disruption and providing consistent care. I refresh water, follow feeding and medication instructions closely, and always leave your home secure and tidy. I also provide visit updates with photos so you can feel connected and at ease while you’re away. Building trust through consistent, compassionate care is what I do best. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m visiting them, they’ll be treated like family.

About: I adopted my first cats 6 years ago, and have never looked back! I have 3 total now. I do also have dogs, and by having both I've recognized that both really do need care that is species specific. My own cats came to me as kittens, with one that is extremely shy. With her, I really learned how special it is when you put in the time and patience and gain the trust of a perfect little creature! Most people think that cats are independent and don't need much, and that couldn't be further from the truth. They are resilient, but need just as much love and affection as dogs. I also know they can hide any issues they have very well. I am very well versed in finding shy cats hiding spots (and catching them if needed for their safety). I also always have an eye out for cat-proofing and making sure there are no potential places they can get stuck or get out.
“JJ took such good care of my kitties. She was prompt with answering texts, made sure they were fed and litter was clean. JJ sent me the cutest pictures and took extra time to play with the cats. I would highly recommend her for any pet care!!❤️❤️”

“This was my first time using a pet sitter and I will definitely be calling Cheryl the next time I need someone to watch my cats. We hit it off and, maybe more importantly, one of my cats took to her right away, the other was less trusting but her behavior improved by the end of Cheryl’s visits.”

“This was my second time booking with Khelsi. She was great with my cat just like the first time and was very accommodating of my ever-changing schedule. I truly appreciate Khelsi’s flexibility despite her having a packed schedule”

“Danielle’s attentiveness, communication and attention to detail make her an ideal cat sitter. She is proactive with her approach and will bring things up after a check-in if any behaviors with our cat appear to be off. It gives us peace of mind being away from our cat when we know Danielle is checking in and keeping her company.”

“Jessica was a fantastic sitter for our family of four cats. Definitely made it easier to head out of town for an extended vacation as she was very informative, took plenty of pictures and clearly made a great impression with our whole crew. Jessica went above and beyond to help and I would certainly recommend her services.”

“Melanie was great. She let me know when she was stopping by, spent time with my animals and shared pictures. My cats don’t usually come right up to strangers and they clearly felt comfortable with Melanie.”

“lauri helped us out recently with housesitting and watching our two cats - one of whom required medication twice daily and some other specifications throughout the day. lauri was great with caring for both him and his brother, giving them everything they needed and making sure that they were happy and healthy while we were away. she sent photos and detailed updates and it gave us such peace of mind knowing that she was looking after them. we came home to happy cats and a well taken care of house - i would highly recommend lauri and will be booking with her again!”

“Tara took great care of our dog Marvin—this was the second time they’ve watched him, and both experiences have been excellent. They were responsive, reliable, and clearly have a natural way with animals. Marvin was happy and relaxed when we picked him up and excited to return for his second stay, which says a lot. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Tara again and highly recommend them as a sitter.”

“Tracey is phenomenal! There were a few weeks where work/school took over my schedule and I had to drop off the pups at Tracey’s nearly every single day. And every single day I felt a huge peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. Tracey went above and beyond to not only watch the pups but make note of any health or behavioral cues that I should be aware of. I will continue to utilize her services and am so glad I found her through the app! 1000% recommend for daycare, boarding, and beyond!!”

Throughout my life span, I have owned 15 pets: 5 lizards, 8 fish, a hedgehog, a cat, 6 dogs, a scorpion, and a guinea pig. I studied animal science with a concentration in animal biology at MSU, following the pre-vet track. I’ve yet to meet an animal that I don’t get along with- it’s like we just click. I’m a very caring person that loves pets! If I could, I’d be a zookeeper. A lot of things I know about pet care I have learned in a Companion Animal Biology and Management class, from stress to diseases to development, etc. There couldn’t be a more perfect friend to watch your pal! About: Hi, my name is Brandon and I am a first year Masters student studying Biomedical Engineering. Animals have been a part of my life since my earliest memories. I've raised birds, turtles, snakes, iguanas, hamsters, cats and of course dogs. Whether your pup needs hours of fetch and park adventures or gentle walks and medication management, I adapt to their unique needs, diets, and energy level. I work from home and between myself and my girlfriend, it is rare for me to leave my pet alone for more than 1 hr. I have easy access to numerous parks within walking distance including Belle Isle. Your pet will not be starved for attention. My goal is to make your dog’s time with me feel like a happy stay-cation. Expect daily walks, individualized attention, plenty of rest when needed, and regular photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands With years of experience across all breeds and temperaments, I understand the trust it takes to leave your pet with someone new. I'm here to make that experience stress-free for both you and your dog, providing the reliable, communicative, and loving care they deserve. I welcome questions, meet-and-greets, and will always aim to make you and your pet feel comfortable and confident. Working from home affords me the time and flexibility to give my high maintenance corgi the attention she deserves. She’s rarely alone for more than one hour at a time. The first and most important step in caring for a new dog is to establish trust. As an experienced caregiver, I've learned that patience and compassion form the foundation of developing that all-important bond. Sixx is a great help in this endeavor as she is a very friendly dog and loves making new playmates. My place is fitted with webcams so you can check in on your pet and let them hear your voice. If your dog is crate-trained and finds it easier to adapt to a new environment through this method, I have one that can accommodate most sizes.

“Jessica was amazing with our new puppy! She was able to accommodate us on short notice, which we really appreciated. Our pup came home happy and tired from all the fun. We will definitely be coming back!”

About: Why Pet Parents Choose Me 🐾Trusted by repeat local clients - References available. 🐾Known for being reliable, caring, and communicative. 🐾Certificate in Cat and Dog First Aid (American Red Cross) 🐾5 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant 🐾Fostering experience, including raising bottle-fed kittens and fostering a DACC rescue dog who was once on death row - who now has the happiest forever home! Hi, I’m Monica DeSpain— a lifelong animal lover, experienced pet sitter, and proud pet mom to one sweet senior dog and three quirky cats. I’ve been caring for animals for over 20 years, and I truly love what I do. My background includes 5 years working at two veterinary hospitals as a veterinary assistant, volunteering at the animal shelter, and fostering pets in my home. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in animal care long before I officially started offering pet sitting. Since August 2024, I’ve been providing trusted, compassionate pet sitting services to families in the Grosse Pointe area. I also currently run a small online business from home, which gives me the flexibility to offer weekday and weekend visits, dog walking, and personalized drop-in care. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets — not just for feeding and potty breaks, but for love, attention, and consistency. Every animal has their own personality, routine, and comfort level — and I meet them where they’re at. Whether it’s energetic play, gentle senior care, medication routines, or just being a calm presence, I tailor every visit to your pet’s unique needs. My schedule is flexible and I do my best to accommodate yours. Let’s work together to plan for your pets needs. I should be able to accommodate most schedules. I will care for your pet with the same loving, caring and kindness that I have for my own pets. Most animals find me easy to be comfortable around.
About: Hi! I’m Paris — a substitute teacher, lifelong pet lover, and proud cat mom of two playful kittens, Lilith & Zephyr 🐾 Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I treat every pet I care for as if they’re my own. Whether it’s a dog who loves long walks, a cat who just wants cuddles, or a nervous pet who needs extra patience, I tailor care to each animal’s personality and comfort level. My clients describe me as attentive, communicative, and trustworthy — I provide photo updates, detailed messages, and genuinely enjoy spending time with every pet I meet. You’ll never have to wonder how your furry friend is doing while you’re away! 💼 My Schedule As a substitute teacher, I create my own schedule — which means I can adjust my availability for pet care. I typically work 4–8 hour school shifts with breaks that allow me to check in, walk, or drop in on pets during the day. Need round-the-clock or overnight care? I can absolutely provide that — I just ask for notice in advance, as 24-hour care may require adjusted pricing 💰 Rates & Expectations Rover’s listed prices reflect my base rates for standard care. Rates may adjust slightly depending on: • The number of pets • Travel distance • After-hours or weekend bookings • Medication or special-needs care • Holiday or extended-stay requests All rates are before Rover’s 20% platform fee. My goal is to ensure top-tier, stress-free care that’s priced fairly for both of us. 💬 Why Choose Me I know how important it is to trust the person watching your pets. My goal is to create peace of mind while making sure your pets are loved, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Each booking is personalized — whether that means an extra bedtime cuddle, a longer evening walk, or slow introductions for shy pets. ❤️ Let’s Connect If you’re looking for reliable, flexible, and genuine care, I’d love to chat! Send me a message with your pet’s routine, quirks, or favorite toys — I’m happy to customize care around their needs. I work as a substitute teacher and I make my own schedule. As long as I have at least 2-3 days before a booking I can switch things around to be with your pet. I typically work 4-8 hours and have small breaks where I can leave the school and check in with pets twice a day while I am working. If they need round the clock care, I can make that happen but as it interferes with my day job that would require further conversation as far as pricing. I play with animals, I’ll walk them, bathe them, give them medication if needed. I treat every pet I’m lucky enough to have placed in my care as my own. Anything you need or want for me to do for your four legged family member I would be more than happy to accommodate!

I have a fenced and spacious backyard and a clean and pet friendly household free of kids and safety hazards ensuring a safe environment for any pet!
“Nia was wonderful! She took care of my Zayle on short notice. Zayle still acts like a puppy and Nia was capable and comfortable with that type of energy and behavior. Nia was nice, professional and right on time. 10/10 the best the app has to offer! I’ll be booking with Nia again soon :)”

About: Hello pet-owners! I'm Blythe, lover of all things fluffy. I grew up with golden retrievers and owned a delightful hedgehog named Dwaeji as an adult. I have moved 12 times in the last 10 years (five of which I spent overseas), so I have been unable to own my own cat or dog, but I am a HUGE fan of borrowing other people's pets for some play time. I just purchased a house with a yard on the east side of Detroit (Morningside) that can accommodate dogs and cats alike. I am a long-time petsitter for friends and family and spent two years as a professional dog walker in Chicago. I am a student at Wayne Law and have flexible availability during the day. I am available for house sitting and happy to host dogs/cats in my house as well. Copper, Roo, Dottie, Lucy, Reese, Max, and Nugget are all prepared to provide references. (as are their moms and dads).
About: I am trained in Dog Behavior and Management from my previous job at Camp Bow Wow. I’m bubbly, kind, and patient with humans and dogs. I recently moved away from home where my family dog lives. But when I was home I did all feeding, bathing, walks, playing, and training. I have a fenced in backyard and friendly neighborhood dogs that love to play (if your pup is interested and comfortable). Availability 24/7 for walks.
About: professionally, I have taken care of pets for the last 3 years, ranging from dogs to cats to birds to lizards, with care ranging from normal sittings to walks, to overnight work as well. Personally, I have taken care of pets my whole life, currently either six cats and a big dog (and a gecko). Dogs have always been drawn to me it seems, with all of them (save for one 😅) growing to love me in time. Let me add your pet to that list! I am as malleable as the client needs me to be. Obviously that can change around holidays sometimes, but generally I am super available and almost always by my phone if needed. I unfortunately cannot offer boardings as I have a dog and that would not be fair to her. However, when I do sittings, especially overnight ones, my goal is to leave the pet parent’s as close to how it looked when I got there.
About: I've been a dog owner most of my life and also have two grand dogs and a grand cat who I care for often. I'm experienced with any age, any sized dog and regularly walk two dogs at a time. When can we meet? I'm looking for a way to meet more dogs when away from my grand dogs and want to walk / and exercise more while providing a trustworthy option for your pet(s)! Inclement weather doesn't matter if your pet doesn't mind it. I'm already an experienced and trusted house sitter, plus dog and cat sitter (and can care for houseplants & yards too). I'll respect your privacy and care for your home & pets like I would my own. I'll provide updates and photos to put you at ease. I truly understand that your pets are your children.
About: I've been lucky enough to wake up to a 4 legged friend by my side my entire life. I've been surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes including cats, golden retrievers, malamutes - I've found my love for them to grow increasingly with each interaction. From being a child where it was enough to simply love dogs to becoming a responsible adult recognizing the intricate needs of all, I am more than happy to provide the detailed love and care your beloved pet needs. Even my hobbies and career revolve around nurturing and caring for other beings - beyond loving on dogs, I am an avid lover of indoor plants (which means I would be happy to water yours!). With my services, you will be able to feel confident that your beloved 4 legged friends are safe and well cared for! I am currently in grad school for School Psychology and take care of my own indoor cats and cat colony everyday with food, water, litter scooping, etc. I am diligent in asking questions and file information to ensure that the visit/stay goes as smoothly as possible. I am a very organized person (former teacher) and also know how hard/stressful it can be to have someone watch your pets! I try to provide reassurance and information through the stay to ensure your comfort. Safety and animal comfort are my first priority!

“Emily, Jason & Larry were excellent hosts!! Upon my request for a sitter, they suggested a meet & greet between our dogs. They were welcoming and caring about insuring the dogs were compatible. We agreed on letting Nanook stay. They were very communicative about what our dog was up to, how he was getting along with Larry and they sent photos too. After the stay we were surprised to have received a thank you note and a personalized treat in our bag. That was such a sweet touch! We would definitely book with Emily & Jason again! Nanook enjoyed his stay with them and Larry!”

“It’s been easy to communicate with Dalonna since she always gives me a prompt and clear response. She was very sweet to my Kitty.
