My friend call me “The Dog Whisperer” because everywhere I go puppers can’t get enough of me! My summertime availability is 100% flexible. About: I would love to take care of your furbaby! I have several years of past experience working at animal hospitals and a year of volunteer experience at the ASPCA animal shelter. I offer boarding with only one pet family booked at a time. I also offer house-sitting and love how it is a great option for some pets who feel most comfortable in their own home. I also make sure to keep your home at least as clean and tidy as I found it. I usually stay overnight for the pet's care needs, but if you are looking for just morning to evening or partial day house-sitting, message me for a custom rate. Whether boarding or house-sitting, I will do my best to adhere to your furbaby's normal routine. I have a knack for relaxing anxious/shy/reactive pets and have quite a lot of experience winning them over. I would be happy to do a meet-n-greet in a large outdoor space for your pup to warm up to me on neutral ground. I've cared for the full spectrum of dog sizes and ages. With older pets, I go slowly and make sure not to startle them if they're sleeping, as they may not see or hear me come in. About: I grew up with large breeds and have had dogs my entire life. I lived with all different kinds of foster dogs and now have one 5 year old dog at home. My husband and I are teachers who are home full time in the summer, so we can provide a lot of attention and love to any dog that comes to stay with us! I am a teacher who is home for the summer. I get up early to take a morning walk and avoid the summer heat and take another evening walk. I love taking my dog to the beach to swim throughout the week, as well. I live in a home with a yard (unfenced) and a 5 year old poodle mix to keep your pup company. Lots of walks and time spent snuggling will help keep your dog happy when they stay with me.

For overnight stays I have a large adult dog kennel that can accommodate a Mastiff just as comfortably as it can my Min Pin (who believes he’s the size of a Mastiff). 😄 I have an older dog with lots of energy and plays well with other dogs. I am an active person, so neighborhood walking is available for dogs with proper training. About: I actually care for the animals well beings. I can train a pup to sit, stay, paw, shake (two different paws, 2 different commands), high 5 and even roll over! :) Pet care fits in my day to day life as my sister and I share 3 dogs and a cat together. 2 of those dogs plus the cat being mine so it plays such an important role in my life. As long as the supplies are there I will make sure your animal is getting the prescriptions, kitty litter changed. About: Hello! I’m Maranda and I love animals, like most people. I am open to all animals! Any pet in my home will be treated as my own, following guidelines set by you of course. I have most of my experience fromworking in Dog Day Care centers, as well as ten years on and off overnight dog and cat sitting for friends and family, so I am well versed in dog behaviors and body language. I can’t wait to meet your fur baby or babies! My three year old and I are always home except for quick runs to breakfast or the store. I’m rarely gone from the house for more than 2 hours. I ask that drop off/pick up times be between the times of 7am- 9pm. I am also available for transportation! I have dog seatbelt leashes as well and I can pick up starting at 9am and will end at 9pm, outside of emergencies. Thank you for understanding ☺️ A somewhat fenced yard, a chain link fence that is weak at the poles (working on updating) but! dogs would be leashed at all times regardless. I have a large three year old who is the only child in the house that is never left unattended around animals. The comfort of the dogs are most important. If your fur baby has any resource guarding, fear aggression, or herding behavior I ask that we do a meet and greet to make sure everyone is comfortable. My house is baby proofed, although maybe in a state of organized chaos thanks to said toddler, so animals will be safe as well. I have three cats, but when dogs are in the house they hang out in my basement, as that is their home base. The pups in my care have access to the entire first floor of my house, and can come upstairs with me with supervision if I do not have any cat guests lounging upstairs (: I have two crates, one is 36 inches and the other is 42 and they are equipped with beds and an optional crate cover if that is what the pup is used to. If drop off or pick up is needed of me, I have seat belt leashes for car safety. During drop in visits, each family and pet have their own groove so please forgive me if i ask so many questions! I want to maintain familiar routines and behaviors with your fur babies so they can be as comfortable as possible. For drop in visits, please tell explain where the food is kept and where the food bowls/litter boxes are. Some dogs have triggers that put them in an arousal/overstimulated state, (Hats, hoods, boots? big jackets, certain pitches, how a stranger enters the house etc) please tell me if your dog has any of these! I have worked with many rescue/shelter dogs, I can accommodate for your babies. Please give a heads up for any exciting things your dog likes on walks! How do they walk, do they chase? Etc.

About: Growing up, my family always had at least one furry friend living with us, be it a hamster, dog, rabbit or bird. But I did not have a pet of my own until I bought my home in Detroit in 2014, settling down after a life of frequent moving/traveling. About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs for my entire life. From elderly beagles to pitbulls with no concept of their own size, I love them all! I'm experienced with special needs pets, having personally taken care of pets who are blind and deaf; who have FIV, FeLV and CKD; and who are missing teeth and tail. I am familiar with giving meds orally (both pill and syringe form), taking care of sick pets, and monitoring symptoms. You know what your pet needs, and I always make sure quality care is given in your absence! Please note I will likely use my own handless leash for safety purposes. I am comfortable working with reactive dogs and dogs with prey drives. However, it is crucial that you inform me of any behavior issues beforehand. Owners who are not upfront with behavior issues risk being dropped as clients. If booking times are flexible, please let me know. This helps me book you faster and allows us to start conversations about your pet's needs earlier. Please only book with me when you know what days and times I am needed. Open requests block times in my calendar, so booking in a timely manner is very important. If you would prefer to boom after the meet & greet, that is absolutely okay! Please just let me know upon scheduling the meet and greet. I am currently available mornings, and nights M-F and all day weekends. I typically visit 7-7:45am on weekday mornings and 4-7pm weekday nights. I make visits all day on weekends. I am happy to accommodate specific medication schedules upon request. Starting June 15th, I will be available 7am-9pm all seven days of the week. Starting June 15th, I will be opening slots for clients who wish for their dogs to join me on hikes or long walks (3+ hours) at dog-friendly hiking spots in Michigan. Owners will be charged the housesitting rate, and will be expected to prepare treats, meals, and water for their dogs.
