Ashleigh took my Allie on a pretty good walk which is a great job considering she often doesn’t care too much for walks! She fed her as asked and Allie seemed content when I got home. I will certainly be asking Ashleigh for assistance ce in the future!

I’m also happy to keep you in the loop with plenty of updates and pictures so you can have peace of mind! Pets of All Ages – Comfortable caring for puppies, kittens, adult pets, and seniors, and happy to adjust to each pet’s individual personality, energy level, and routine. Medication Management – Comfortable administering medications and keeping up with consistent dosing schedules and instructions. Communication & Updates – I know how much you want to know that your fur babies are doing well while you’re away! My work-from-home days can be adjusted when needed, allowing me to be available for walks, drop-ins, and extra attention throughout the day. I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that works well for both you and your pet! 🐾 Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priority. About: I worked at a vet hospital and had the opportunity to be around, care for, and play with lots of different dogs and cats. I would administer medicine, clean areas for animals so they are safe, make them the most comfy, walk the dogs, clean litter boxes, even throw in a few treats when possible. I am currently a full time college student. I’m working on my bachelors in animal science. I’m able to have a wide variety of availability. I will make sure bowls are clean, food properly measured or full, water refreshed with every visit, tummies are full, and hearts are the happiest they can be. Every animal is always treated as if it were my own. Each animal deserves only the best of care.

About: I adopted my first dog Benson when he was 6 and cared for him through his senior years. I started fostering in 2020 to give him company. I've cared for litters of (too) young puppies through adults and seniors dealing with medical and behavioral issues, and from every breed and size. My two current dogs, Keeley & Brisket, are foster fails. I've always loved dogs and will love your dog as much as my own. Why I love dog sitting I've loved dogs my whole life. I got my first dog, a black lab, when I was 3. I sat for friends' dogs since college and volunteered with the Humane Society. I finally have my own dogs but still love meeting and caring for other dogs. Meet my pets Keeley is a 4 year old chow mix that loves herding people to the couch for snuggles. Brisket is a supermutt puppy still learning her manners but friendly with all dogs and people. My cat, Meowedith, is a ~16 year old rescue. She's very sweet but takes a little time to get comfortable with new people and dogs. She is fine with dogs if they give her her space when she wants it. About my yard I have a fenced in backyard. My experience administering medication I administer pills and injections through Freedom Ride Rescue. I work from home and will be available most of the day for meals, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. I live near downtown so if I go out on the evenings or weekends I am close to home to check in on the pups! I have a fenced in yard for running around and live near the greenway for walks. I have a ton of dog beds everywhere and dogs are allowed on the furniture. I also have a spare room if your dog needs their own space away from me or my dogs.

About: As an emergency veterinary technician, I bring strong handling skills and confidence with senior, young, or medically needy pets. I’ve owned cats and dogs all my life, have been pet-sitting as long as I can remember, and have trained service dogs and raised puppies. I also attended an agricultural high school and completed many collegiate animal-behavior courses. I have worked with rescue dogs/cats and know to meet them where they're at. I prioritize enrichment, comfort, and setting every pet up for a safe, positive experience. I'm very active and love the outdoors in any weather so your pet will get their exercise in with me if that's what they need! I work 3 12hour shifts a week, so there are many weekends and weekdays in which I am around the entire day to provide pet care! I have a fenced in, large, shared yard area that is most often empty for your babies to play in. My home has one cat, no dogs.

About: I’m a dog mom so I have plenty of experience caring for a dog. He’s my buddy and we’ve gone on more hikes and walks than I can count. I trained him when he was a little pup and I cared for him post surgery when he needed a little extra love and support (he gets a lot🥰). I’ve helped my family and friends by caring for their dogs when they go away or get stuck at work. I also volunteer at the animal shelter where most of my time is spent dog walking. Dogs hold a special place in my heart and my dog is my baby so I can promise that I will take the very best care of your pup!💛 I’m flexible with timeframes and requests as long as I have enough notice. I’m happy to help and I can’t wait to meet your pup!😊 Being a dog mom, dog-sitting, and volunteering at the animal shelter have all helped me develop the necessary skills to take the very best care of your pup!

About: I’ve grown up around dogs big and small, and taken care of all kinds of breeds from pitties to yorkies to Pyrenees. I’m also a big cat lover and have pet sitter cats of all kinds of temperaments. I prefer afternoon care as it fits more easily in my schedule but I am flexible if needed. I am currently in between jobs so my schedule is very open! I was always been taught to let the animals come to me and not push them, so I try to offer a comforting presence without being demanding and meet pets where they are.

Kiyah was so lovely to work with. She's so caring and helpful, she made life so much easier. I knew my pup was well cared for with her. And how much she cared about him came through in every update and communication from her. He's an old dog who is set in his ways and I know that she made having to deal with change so much easier for him. She is flexible and so helpful.

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
