I am very flexible this summer besides a two week trip at the beginning of July! I am not working since I’m attending graduate school in the fall so I’ll be super available to hang out with your fur babies! I don’t offer house sitting at my house but I can stay over at yours! I will treat your space with respect and follow any instructions you have left to ensure the upkeep and cleanliness of your space!
About: Growing up, I learned how to take care of pets with many different needs (a family dog with cancer that required oral medications multiple times a day, a blind senior dog that reached 19 years and needed daily IV drips and guidance to use the bathroom, administered insulin injections to a diabetic cat). I'm very comfortable with accommodating any needs your pet may have. I'm a mom to a golden retriever and an aunt to two German short-haired pointers that I absolutely love. I love taking dogs with me on walks and to run errands but I'm flexible depending on each dog's social skills. I'm an avid pet lover that will make sure your pet is getting all the love and attention it could want!
About: Hello! My name is Karely. I have fostered dogs through Pawmetto Lifeline and have also dogsat for neighbors through my childhood. I can work with any dog of any age! I have a lot of patience when it comes to specific needs such as medicine or check-ins. I also do not mind cats or any other pet. I love hiking and being active so dog walking would be good for puppies or younger dogs with lots of energy. I’m also very easy to get in touch with for any emergency calls or occasions. I am excited to get to know your pets, just reach out :)!

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats my whole life. I have done pet training which included house training, basic commands (i.e. sit, stay, come), and tricks (i.e. roll over, play dead, circle, beg). My mom was a dog handler and I’ve been lucky to have learned how to handle various unique training or walking routines. I have also watched cats for extended periods of time as well as having 2 in my home previously. I recently adopted a Siberian cat that’s dog and cat friendly as well. From playing, to cuddling, to watching birds out the window together, to bathing (willing and unwilling), I’ve done it all. If your cat is lead friendly, I can also take them on walks. I can bath, feed, train, and exercise most all dogs. I am a quick and independent learner with a passion for working with animals. I’m available to stay over weekdays and weekends so long as my schedule is available. My job will be requiring me to be in office throughout the week for the next few months, however location depending, I can provide midday potty breaks during my “lunch” hour. I’m more of a night owl than early riser, but I can accommodate most routines for your pet so long as it’s not earlier than 7AM. Since I frequently travel locally for work, I apologize for not being able to always accommodate bookings with under 2 weeks notice. I currently have 1 Siberian female cat that is dog and cat friendly, and well socialized to children and people. My home has hardwood downstairs and carpet upstairs. I live in a neighborhood with amble green space for walks and fetch for off leash dogs. I do not have a fenced in yard.
About: Hi, I'm Chantel. An animal lover with a passion for dogs and cats. Having grown up surrounded by animals, I recently relocated from Buffalo, NY to North Carolina and have found the people and weather here to be exceptional. In addition to my role as a Speech Pathologist Assistant, I work as an ESL Teacher and offer dog sitting services through Rover. Meaning I’m always available during school vacations. I find joy in spending time with my pets, exploring the outdoors, and staying active through jogging and hiking. The recent loss of my beloved cat, who lived to the age of 24, inspired me to explore and appreciate different species of animals. In 2018, I successfully assisted in the recovery of a stolen dog, Storm, by proactively creating flyers, conducting investigations, and leveraging social media to spread the word. The heartwarming outcome of this experience reinforces my commitment to helping and caring for animals. I would be honored to meet and care for your pet. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to discuss how I can be of service. Looking forward to connecting soon, Chantel Starting July 1- July 31st I’ll be on my school break as a speech Teacher in schools. At this time I’ll be home most of the time. My clients are placed on a schedule. We wake up before 9:00am, we go out, we eat breakfast, take up to 30 min walks if able. We come back home, relax and play, go outside, eat dinner, go out a third time and time for bed. If the client is new, I try my best to keep them calm by playing with them and a lot of petting.
About: I have been giving love to animals all over the spectrum, either in my own home or volunteering at shelters. From young puppies and kittens to the precious seniors, I have cared for them all. Grooming, mild training, stimulating exercise and social interaction, administering medication/shots, preparing special meals, following a dieting plan, and showing unconditional love are all part of my skills. I am currently working a few shifts part time as a bartender, so I will be free during the day, having time to spend all morning and afternoon for care. My boyfriend, Donald, who also provides pet care (added on the Rover profile) , works during the day, and frequently stops by the house on his breaks, so there will always been someone qualified in the household (either your home or mine) to watch your little one! I currently live in a pet friendly neighborhood, walkable to a park, and plenty of trails and sidewalks around as well. I have a two bedroom, spacious apartment, with a large outdoor area for the pups to run around in. I currently have two kitties, and can keep them separated if needed.

Both my husband and I work remotely, giving us a flexible schedule to make sure your dog is happy, cared for, and never left alone for long periods. Pets in my home are part of the family I make sure they get love, play, and care throughout the day. During check-ins at your home, I stick to your routine, giving your pet attention, exercise, and comfort while you’re away.

Adreanna was great! She took excellent care of Tonto and was very easy to work with throughout the entire booking. I never had to reach out or worry about anything, and I always felt confident that Tonto was in good hands. For anyone with a senior dog, I highly recommend. I’m sure she’s great with all dogs as well. I would absolutely book with her again.

Yanke has been wonderful with our big anxious boy! He was a late Covid puppy and did not get much out of the house socializing. she has been great at handling him and he seems to really enjoy his walks with her! He does not like most people and is dog reactive. She has been able to handle him on walks no problem.

My dogs adore Chase! Somehow, they always know when he's coming and they wait at the door for him, then push me out of the way to greet him when he arrives. He always shows up on time, lets me know when he is on his way, and is extremely personable and kind to talk to. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a dog walker!

Megan always does a wonderful job walking Cooper when I’m at work! She is very communicative and provides an update about each visit and photos from the walk and/or playtime. She goes above and beyond what is asked of her when needed - today, she arrived to find that Cooper had gotten into the trash and littered it all over the downstairs. Without complaint or me having to ask her, she cleaned all the trash up while I was gone and then let me know what had taken place. This is just another one of many reasons I would highly recommend Megan if you’re ever in need of her services!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
