About: I’ve cared for animals for many years and truly treat every pet like family. I understand how important it is to feel at peace when someone else is caring for your pets, and I take that responsibility seriously. I offer dependable, attentive care with a calm and nurturing presence. I’m experienced with daily routines, feeding, walks, administering basic medications, and making sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved in their own environment. I’m especially patient with shy or anxious pets and gentle with senior animals who need a little extra care and attention. I had my precious doggy (the yellow guy) for over 17 years and held him until his last breath. He was a larger breed and I didn’t expect him to live that long! I also brought my Persian kitty (almost quite literally) back to life after he was badly injured-likely a car accident. He was on a feeding tube for months and I cleaned and dressed his wounds, prepared his liquid food and kept him going when I was 8 years old. He eventually moved out with me to my first house and peacefully passed away on my bed ❤️🩹 As a mom, I bring a natural level of responsibility, awareness, and consistency into everything I do. You can trust that your pets—and your home—are in caring, capable hands. I’m happy to send updates and photos so you can feel connected while you’re away 💛 Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I’m intentional about being reliable and consistent. I plan my schedule around each pet’s needs, whether that’s morning, midday, evening, or nighttime visits. I’m flexible and do my best to accommodate last-minute requests when I’m available. Your pet’s routine and comfort always come first. I care for pets in their own home where they feel most comfortable and secure. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding, routines, medications, and any special care needs. I’m respectful of your home, keep things clean, and ensure doors, gates, and pets are always secure. I prioritize calm, attentive care so your pet feels safe and at ease while you’re away.
“Laura is so amazing with our dog Riley (and Riley can be a handful)! I love all her updates and pictures, it always makes my day to see her and know she’s having a great time!”

“Dana took wonderful care of our senior dog. We had an emergency and very short notice, and were thrilled that she could help by walking him for a week. She communicated with us promptly and clearly, and was very responsive. We will definitely contact her the next time we need help.”

“Thank you so much for all you did! ❤️ I'm glad he was a good boy. Feel free to help work with him on no jumping. He does know sit and stay for when you leave too! I hope he didn't scratch you up or make bruises, he didn't mean to if he did.”

“Larry is amazing! He quickly established a rapport with my skittish Goldendoodle, and my big dog (96 lbs) is putty in his hands. Larry even put my trash bins away, which is huge considering I'm on crutches. My animals know they can fully trust Larry, and so do I.”

About: I’ve been a pet owner my whole life. I treat them like family and have always been the go to for friends and family to pet sit and walk! I’m a stay at home mom, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I figured we already go on daily walks, why not meet some pup friends! 🐾 I have the utmost respect for pups and their families. I know how much I care for my doggo and would treat yours the same 🤗
“I had a very last minute dog walking request after my flight got delayed and Jacqueline and Michael came to the rescue! They included a nice description of my dog Rivers walk and also included pictures of her on her walk which I greatly appreciated. Would definitely recommend!”

I will be mostly available on week day early evenings/ nights and any time on the weekends. I can be flexible, feel free to reach out! I would love to come to your home and take care of your dog. I will play with your dog and walk your dog as needed. I also take care of cats as well.
About: My name is Chelsea, and I'd love to care for your furry family members! I'm an active, trustworthy sitter who has always loved animals! I grew up with pets (dogs & cats) and have experience volunteering with the Humane Society; where I have adopted and fostered multiple dogs. I enjoy helping others and love being around animals. I offer a modest, yet spacious apartment with lots of outdoor space within a gated community; equipped with a dog park and walking distance to multiple parks and trails. I enjoy going for long walks/hikes and enjoy all breeds. I have a 5-year old lab mix, who is very sweet and LOVES playing with others. I work remotely fulltime, so am available all-day for walks, snuggles, and playtime. You can expect that your pet will be actively cared for and loved like they are my own. :) I have an apartment with one other dog, Pudge, who loves playing with other animals. My apartment is in close proximity to multiple parks, trails, and beaches. I'm happy to administer any medications as needed and can offer training!
About: Since I was a kid, I have walked, groomed, dogsat/catsat and lived with dogs/cats! From those as small as chihuahuas to as large as English mastiffs, I have known all sizes and temperaments. I’ve worked with pets that need special care or diets as well, so I know what it’s like to have your pet on a schedule. Senior pets are also known to me, so I also know my way around medicinal doses. I am currently going to school (mostly online), so my hours are pretty flexible. Usually, I am available at least 5 days a week, if not more! I currently do not offer 24/7 care, meaning there are some hours of the day that I likely cannot be sitting. If your pet has separation anxiety or needs constant care, I may not be able to provide that, as I do prefer to have at least a few hours to myself outside of pet sitting. I currently have two dogs (Blue Heeler and Great Pyrenees) and two cats (English shorthair and longhair) on more than 400 acres of land! I live on a farm, so my pets live mostly outdoors, but we end up bringing them inside at night and during storms. I also live with horses (three), chickens, turkeys, and more. My pets are my priority, and with having so many, I know what a packed schedule is like! For past client’s, I have walked, fed, and played with pets daily.
About: Hey! My name is Lexi and I am a huge animal lover! I just moved back to North Carolina from Pennsylvania, but I worked with dogs at a grooming salon for 3 years. I have one dog of my own and 3 cats. I promise to care for your babies the same way that I do mine! My friends and family always call me to care for their pets, knowing that I will take the best care of them! I work full time but I have a really flexible schedule so I’m typically available for taking care of your loved pets! Typically available for after work with night time or dinner visits! When caring for pets, whether in my home or in yours, I treat every animal as if they were part of my own family. I have 1 dog and 3 cats that are all super friendly! I definitely understand patience and confidence when working with any type of pet! My top priority is always health, safety, and the happiness of your pet. I make sure that my care meets their needs, routines, and personalities. When caring for pets in their own environment, I make sure to maintain their regular schedule to help reduce any stress. I can provide regular updates with photos and messages so you can stay connected while you’re away. Whether it’s giving medications, following a special feeding plan, or giving your dog their daily belly rub, I try to follow their routine as closely as possible.
About: I grew up with dogs; we got our first dog when I was 10 years old, and ever since, our household always had at least one or more dogs. My first own dog, a white German Shepherd named Ziva, joined me 11 years ago. I adore dogs; I love everything about them. I enjoy going on walks, cuddling, brushing them, and playing. Whatever a dog needs to be happy, I’m there to provide it with love and care. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of time to care for other pets. I moved to the U.S. from Germany two and a half years ago, and I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your beloved pet. That’s why I dedicate myself to giving pet owners peace of mind—so they can travel, go to work, or enjoy time away, knowing their furry family members are safe and loved. When I care for your dog or cat in your home, I tailor the routine to your pet’s needs and your environment. I love taking the dog for walks and, if you have a fenced garden, I enjoy spending time playing there as well. Depending on what’s available, I adapt my care to ensure your pet stays active, happy, and comfortable at home.

About: I have taken care of animals since I was 13. I’ve always loved our sweet fur babies that my parents would bring home. Animals truly are family and I’d love to ensure that you can rest easy with your animals in my care. The pets I’ve taken care of have ranged from as small as bunnies and lizards all the way up to huskies! The weekend is a perfect time for me to take care of animals. My free time could be helping someone’s schedule who may not be able to handle their fur child at the moment. I take care of pets in other people’s homes by making sure to thoroughly follow any instructions that may have been left for me as well as keeping communication with the owner so they can stay updated with everything that is going on. Communication is very important and I would want to make certain that the owner will feel at ease with their pet in my care.
“Nicole was very responsive and sent me lots of pet photos while I was away! She even included pictures of my cat who she was not being paid to take care of. She was very patient with my dog who tends to be scared of new people. I highly recommend Nicole!”

“X is great with Atticus and he looks forward to his walk. She keeps us notified of long term changes far in advance and stays in contact with us. We would recommend her without hesitation to anyone who needs her services.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
