“Luke was a fantastic dog walker. I had to hire him last minute because of an emergency and he was so flexible with all of the difficulties I threw his way. My dog had a great time with him and I loved all the pictures I got! I would truly recommend him to anyone looking for a dog walker that truly puts your dog’s happiness first.”

About: I am certified in Pet CPR and First Aid through the American Health Training Association. Personalized Care, Special Needs Pet Care, and Experienced & Trustworthy I am retired and currently an Interfaith/Interspiritual Minister which provides me with a flexible schedule. I am available weekdays, most weekends and holidays for you. My services at this time will take place in your home. I will require an initial greeting to make sure your animal is comfortable and has a chance to get to know me in their own environment. I have worked with animals that have had anxiety and was able to work with them to gain their trust.
“Jen was excellent! She sent me pictures from the walk and was very communicative throughout the process. She’s very kind and I could tell my puppy loved her. I will be using her services again.”
“New to the area and needed a new Rover. I appreciate Ashley making herself available to get to know my Fatboy. He’s hesitant with new people but she took time to walk him so he gets used to seeing her come inside my place. Happy to have her as his Rover and know she will always make sure he’s safe and happy”
About: I have taken care of many types of dogs, doing everything from feeding to walking to giving medicine to my aunt’s senior dog. I have even worked with a sweet blind pupper too! I have an open schedule to care for your doggos during weekdays. I am also available weekend days too, if needed. Last minute needs I can accommodate too. I have 3 dogs of my own, a black lab, and two pittie mix babes. My husband’s cousin has entrusted us with the care of her pittie doggo while dealing with health issues. My aunt who lives across the street from me has me look after her two dogs when she travels out of town.
About: What sets me apart is that I truly understand how much our dogs mean to us—they’re family! I’ve had dogs for nearly 20 years, from puppies through their senior years, so I’m comfortable with the different needs and personalities that come with each stage of life. I’m also very knowledgeable about holistic approaches to canine wellness and enjoy learning about natural ways to support a dog’s overall well-being. I’m patient, attentive, and take the time to get to know each dog individually. Whether your pup needs a good walk, playtime, companionship, or simply some extra love and attention, my goal is for them to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. 🐾 I work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability to incorporate pet care into my day. I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and spending quality time with pets throughout the day. I enjoy having the companionship of dogs while I work, and I’m happy to give them the attention, exercise, and care they need while their owners are away. I’m new to caring for clients’ pets through Rover, but I have many years of personal experience caring for dogs, including my own dogs and my daughter’s dog. I treat every pet with the same patience, attention, and care I would want for my own. In a client’s home, I would follow their instructions and their pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including walks, feeding, playtime, and giving them plenty of companionship and attention. I understand that every dog is different, so I’ll take the time to learn their personality, needs, and preferences and make sure they feel comfortable and safe while their family is away.
About: Between my significant other and I, we regularly care for 8 animals; 4 dogs & 4 cats who we absolutely adore. They may be little rascals sometimes, but they're our little rascals. My childhood was filled with animals, and several neighbors, family, and friends would put their trust into me to care for and give love to their pets on a daily basis. I have experience watching smaller rodents as well, and have no issue with a pet who may need extra help, whether that ranges from a unique health issue to simply aiding the owner in a diet process. This truly is what I love to do and I would love to meet your furbabies as well! When caring for a multitude of dogs & cats under the same roof, everyday comes with a morning and nightly routine to make sure everybody is safe and healthy. This tends to consist of feeding, using the bathroom, giving medication, cleaning litter boxes, walking, providing play, and the most important thing; mitigating the peace. Animals can be crazy creatures, and knowing how to do damage control is crucial when dealing with dogs & cats! Less common activities may involve bathing, cutting nails, transporting due to travel, etc. I see every moment that I am with your pet as a chance to connect and provide care. I have a great ability to multi-task and de-escalate if a conflict may occur between two animals and it is extremely easy for me to follow directions accordingly. I would consider myself a compassionate person and don't just want to care for your pets, but fulfill their every need!
“Paulette and her husband are extremely thoughtful, thorough, and go the extra mile. They definitely take caring for your pup seriously. Feels super relaxing to know they will provide quality care. Better than I could have done myself!”

I love to take frequent breaks to run outside with my dogs and would love to do the same for your pets!i I have a fenced backyard. I also follow directions. About: Welcome to your pet’s home away from home 💛 Hi there! We’re a fun-loving, animal-obsessed couple who believe life is simply better with paws, tails, and a little bit of fur on everything. We moved from Colorado a few years ago, where we had the joy of hosting all kinds of animals—big, small, shy, energetic—you name it, we’ve loved it! Both of us grew up on farms in the Midwest, so caring for animals has always been second nature and one of our favorite things to do. These days, we both work from home during the week, which means your pet will get plenty of attention, supervision, and snuggles all day long. Our home is very much a pet-first household—around here, animals run the show! Whether your pet loves curling up on the couch, stretching out in bed, or following us around all day, they’re welcome to make themselves completely at home. No strict rules here—just lots of love, comfort, and flexibility. We also have a super friendly pup who absolutely loves making new friends and gets along great with other animals. Daily life includes walks around the neighborhood, and the occasional trip to the dog park for extra zoomies. We’re very laid-back and flexible with schedules—whatever works best for you and your pet, works for us! Our goal is to make sure you feel completely at ease while your furry family member is safe, happy, and spoiled. We can’t wait to meet you and your pet—and give them all the love they deserve! 🐾 I currently am working remote so 3 - 4 long walks is my current routine. I live close to numerous trails so you can count on your pup always getting the best outdoor experience while he/ she is with me. I have one very friendly dog who loves to play, I am always home to keep an eye on him and any other friends we have at the time. I am very diligent in my care because I know I would expect the same of someone watching my guy, you can always be sure that in my care your fur baby will get lots of love and attention… and treats of course.

About: I’ve always had a dog for as long as I can remember. I currently have a senior dog, Violet, who I love very dearly. I worked for Waggers Pet Sitting for several years when I lived in Cary. I am now looking to add clients in the Clayton area. I take pet care and safety seriously, and I promise your dog will be in the best care while you’re away! I currently work part-time, so I have openings in my schedule to spend time with your pups. I have more flexibility Friday through Sunday. I want to make sure your pet is safe and comfortable. I am happy to crate your dog or make sure they are safely inside when I leave.
About: I’ve assisted my aunt during her Rover experience for two years, I’ve rescued and TNR’d neighborhood street cats for two years, and I have an 8 year old dog and a 2 year old dog back in New York! I recently moved to the area and am living with family, so my animals are not with me until I secure independent housing—they are with family that were still in my old area. I’m a full-time college student in graduate school and I work full-time, both of these commitments are virtual. This leaves me relatively free to prioritize the care your loved pets need! I currently am not offering to pet sit in my own home as I currently live with family, but when watching other peoples dogs I take the same precautions as I would with my own dogs as you can never guarantee their behavior and how they respond to situations or other people. I would ensure the environment is safe, and if we go out into the community, I would be aware of my surroundings and take every precaution as if they were my own!
About: I’ve been a pet owner my whole life. I treat them like family and have always been the go to for friends and family to pet sit and walk! I’m a stay at home mom, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I figured we already go on daily walks, why not meet some pup friends! 🐾 I have the utmost respect for pups and their families. I know how much I care for my doggo and would treat yours the same 🤗
“Working full time its hard to raise a new puppy! I needed some reliable help! Skipper came and did a meet/greet, could tell instantly that my puppy would be in good hands. He is retired and very flexible. I dont have to worry about my puppy when Iam at work”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
