“We'd give John 10 stars if it were an option. He took magnificent care of our 2 boys. He sent multiple pics and videos every day. And went above and beyond by picking up our mail, dealing with Amazon deliveries, stripped and washed the sheets from the bed he slept in, and even cleaned the fridge! Hands down the best pet-sitter we've ever hired!!”
“If I could’ve given more than five stars, I would have!!! Aaliyah was fabulous! We love her the dogs love her. The house was in perfect shape. I can’t thank her enough!”

“Skipper did an excellent job. I am so thankful he came and took such good care of my cats. The automatic feeder has a gel pack to keep out moisture broke and dispersed into the food. It was the perfect example of why even with an automatic feeder it is important to have someone check on the animals. Skipper provided excellent communication and updates.”

“Mary is wonderful! We knew from the meet and greet that our boys were going to be well loved and looked after. I can’t say enough amazing things about her! Our Puppy is tuckered out from all the love he received under her care and our home was well taken care of as well. We will definitely be asking for her help again and again! Thank you Mary!”

“Loren was awesome taking care of our 3 dogs. She sent a lot of pictures and kept in touch keeping our minds at ease during our vacation. I would recommend her taking care of other people’s animals.”

About: Having had dogs since I was born, and my entire life, I've always been the one in my family to teach them (sit, speak, paw, spin) and care for them when no one else is home. I have cared for a range of dog and cat breeds from when they were babies to in their old age. I hope to care for your animals too. I have a dog, I care for it everyday, and I am currently (June 2026) fostering another dog for a couple of weeks while its owner recovers from surgery. I take them on walks daily and play outside with them. We watch tv and sometimes I read to them (it doesn’t last, they get bored of it). As an owner of a dog with a chicken allergy I can understand specific needs, I prefer a more lax and chilled environment and my energy usually gets pets to follow.
About: I am certified in Pet CPR and First Aid through the American Health Training Association. Personalized Care, Special Needs Pet Care, and Experienced & Trustworthy I am retired and currently an Interfaith/Interspiritual Minister which provides me with a flexible schedule. I am available weekdays, most weekends and holidays for you. My services at this time will take place in your home. I will require an initial greeting to make sure your animal is comfortable and has a chance to get to know me in their own environment. I have worked with animals that have had anxiety and was able to work with them to gain their trust.
“Bethany was an amazing sitter! She took great care of our 3 pugs. One of our senior pugs needed medication following a hospital stay and Bethany managed her care-plan with ease. We were able to enjoy our time away from home knowing our pets were receiving great care and attention! Highly recommend Bethany to care for your pets!”

“Charley took excellent care of our boys! When we came home, I think they were disappointed to see us instead of her! She treated our home with the utmost respect and we couldn’t ask for anything more! We’ve already booked our next request with her and will absolutely continue using her when our boys need a buddy to hang out with.”

“Michelle was great with our pups!! They were all super comfortable and she made us feel really comfortable. We have never left our dogs with someone we didn’t know before so we were nervous for our first time but honestly she makes it feel like you’ve known her forever. She’s easy to communicate with, loves the animals, and was great at listening to the (probably unnecessary) amount of information and instructions I left about our dogs’ routine. We’re so grateful to have found a dog sitter we can trust! Would highly highly recommend.”

“Nicole has watch our senior dogs twice, and I’m looking forward to the next time. She also noticed the heat was stressing out some of my plants and she watered them without me asking. Which was much appreciated!”

About: Hi! I’m Jordyn, and I’m someone who truly loves dogs—not just watching them, but caring for them like they’re my own. I know how hard it can be to leave your pup behind, so my goal is to make sure both you and your dog feel comfortable, relaxed, and happy while you’re away. Every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to get to know each one. Whether your pup loves long walks, belly rubs, playtime, or just curling up for a cozy nap, I’m happy to match their energy and routine. I’m very attentive, patient, and gentle, and I always make sure your dog feels safe and loved. I also work as a veterinary assistant so I have lots of Experience with pets of all kinds! I currently work as a vet assistant 4 days out of the week. I have three days off which includes every Saturday and Sunday and mostly Tuesdays. Some times they change the schedule up and I can have off either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. It just depends. Other than that I have every Saturday and Sunday off and I am always available on the weekend as I stay close by the house. I like to dog sit at my clients home because I feel the animal is most comfortable in their own home and I have one dog of my Own and two cats that live at my house and I wouldn’t want that to interfere with your animal. I like to dog walk, dog sit all weekend or as needed, and anything else you would like me to do. I can give Baths, cut nails and etc.
“Without a doubt, the best dog/house sitter we’ve ever had and found her on three days notice!!!! Our two (high energy, somewhat timid, not perfectly trained but absolutely loveable) Aussies adored Jackie! We received regular updates by text and above and beyond offers to help around the house while we were away - including taking both large dogs to the groomers!! Came home to an impeccably clean house AND laundered sheets! 10 out of 10 would recommend!!!”

About: I’ve been a dog owner most of my life! Currently, I own two dogs and I treat them like children. I’ve taken care of dogs since the age of 12. My family and friends would ask me to watch, feed, walk and play with their dog when out of town. I work from home so I will have plenty of time to play with your pups. I am available for weekend boarding, drop off anytime. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs that can play with your fur baby. I have a crate for your fur baby if needed.

About: Hi! I've been taking care of cats, dogs, fish, hamsters & even a bearded dragon for way over a couple of decades. My experience spans, very young pets to our beloved seniors; providing enrichment, medicine, & love as necessary. My pooches are spoiled & literally treated as valued souls in our family. They go on walks, daycare with pools, restaurants, hotels etc. I will extend that same amount of thoughtful care to your precious family member and enjoy spending time with your precious one! Walks, trots, snuggles & cuddles available :) I'm currently between roles, so I have plenty of time to tend to your pets. I'm available 7 days a week at this time. I have a big unfenced yard, gated outdoor porch (w/ a pup pool - if they like), 2 friendly Golden's & 2 cats that sleep all day. We do have lovely trails in our area to walk, sniff & explore.
“Tyler was excellent! Sent lots of photos of both dogs. He was super attentive to one of my dog's health needs which was greatly appreciated. Left the house in great condition. I'll definitely be using Tyler again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Archer Lodge
Skip did a great job for us. He communicated well and even sent a picture which was amazing since our cats hid from him most of the time.:) I guess they didn't understand that when Santa Claus is your sitter, you should come out and show some love if you don't want to be on the naughty list. We highly recommend Skip to anyone needing a responsible and caring pet sitter.

Taylor was absolutely fantastic!! We are new to the area and it’s always nerve racking and stressful finding a new sitter for our home and pups. Taylor put all my worries and stress at easy! She was quick to respond to all my questions, reassuring on any concerns and come over for a last minute trip to meet our pups. Our dogs LOVED her the moment she walked in and were sad when she left. During our trip her communication was outstanding. We received many photos and updates and the dogs looked so happy in every single one. She left our home clean and tidy and in better condition than we did when we left, haha! Highly recommend and we will definitely use her again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Archer Lodge on Rover is $45.51 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 2,231 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Archer Lodge. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Archer Lodge walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Archer Lodge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Archer Lodge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Archer Lodge. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
