“John went ABOVE and BEYOND each visit. I was traveling in Europe and this is the longest I’ve left my pets. John took such great care of them, which allowed me to fully enjoy my trip. He listened to instructions and made sure each pet got lovins each visit. I will absolutely book with John for any future trips! Thank you, John!!”

“Knowing Serena is here to save the day, I feel confident my kitties are in good hands. She pays so much attention to detail, spends quality time with the fur babies, sends plenty of updates and pictures, and ensures even the most scardiest of cats is comfortable. Thank you Serena!”

“Lauryn did a great job watching my golden, Finn while I was away! She was very prompt with communication and sent tons of pictures! Will be reaching out to her in the future”

About: I am certified in Pet CPR and First Aid through the American Health Training Association. Personalized Care, Special Needs Pet Care, and Experienced & Trustworthy I am retired and currently an Interfaith/Interspiritual Minister which provides me with a flexible schedule. I am available weekdays, most weekends and holidays for you. My services at this time will take place in your home. I will require an initial greeting to make sure your animal is comfortable and has a chance to get to know me in their own environment. I have worked with animals that have had anxiety and was able to work with them to gain their trust.
“Abby was so attentive to my pups! She gave them so much love and made sure they got lots of activity during her visits. She was very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend her.”

“Jen has been great! She is communicative and makes it easy to coordinate. Our (often skittish) dog took some time to warm up, but Jen was patient and worked with her to feel comfortable. Now she’s thrilled to see Jen and sad when she has to say goodbye. All around, an amazing experience.”

“Lindsey took SUCH great care of our boys! She sent lots of pics and was so kind during our meet and greet. We instantly felt comfortable with her and will definitely book again! Thank you Lindsey!”

About: I’m comfortable with all sizes and personalities. From playful puppies to shy cats. I will take the time to make sure your pet is comfortable and safe at all times. Daytime walks are preferred, but will consider evening walks also. I’d be happy to help care for your furry family member while you away or busy. I offer dog and cat walking as well as drop in visits. I truly enjoy spending time with pets of all kinds. Whether it’s a quick walk, playtime, feeding or just some company and cuddles.
“Kiarra made drop-in visits for my two cats while I was out of town for 5 days. She stopped by before my trip so that we could go over everything and see where everything is at. She took notes during the initial visit. She was timely, communicative and respectful of my home. Additionally, both of my cats were warming up to her by the end of the week, which is a huge relief because they usually take a while to warm up to new people. Would definitely recommend her!”

About: I am a dedicated momma to 2 human teenager and 1 fur baby, Oliver. I've cared for multiple pets in our home, checked on neighbor's dogs when they're out of town, and also fostered dogs in need of a safe place to stay. We're a dog family through and through. I'm in between jobs right now so I'm available for walking, drop-ins, boarding, and day care and can take on short notice gigs. I can't wait to love on your fur baby! I have a very open and flexible schedule. I prefer to offer care M-F during the hours of 9:00 am and 9:00 pm, but I'm also flexible if the need arises! I always meet a new dog with gentleness and let them feel me out - smell my hand, don't approach them, give a treat, etc. I always stick to the instructions and routine provided by their family to keep the care as stress-free as possible for the pup. My goal in pet care is to make sure the dogs feel loved and cared for while their owners are away!
“Amanda is fantastic with our cats and very meticulous about communicating with us. She played with them and gave us regular reports as well! I would highly recommend her.”

“This was our second time using Bridgette to watch our one dog and cats while we were out of town for a few days. She did a great job taking care of them as instructed and provided great updates and pictures during each visit!”

“Skipper loves my dogs. He took time walking them, feeding them and even sending me summary with photos. I glad to have him help us. If you want to find a person who truely loves dogs and go above and beyond, Skipper is the one.”

I pride myself on my ability to connect with pets and make them feel comfortable and cared for. I am a dog groomer Mon-Fri with open availability most evenings and weekends. My calendar is updated weekly to reflect my most current availability. I dedicate my career and free time to animals in any way I can. I am constantly taking courses to learn and grow my capabilities as much as possible. Before each visit/walk I evaluate the profile to see what the pet(s) may need to have the best experience with me. I am also pet CPR certified and carry safety equipment when I walk any pet.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Archer Lodge. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
