“Jackie was amazing looking after my dog! She and her family treated my dog like he was part of the family! Jackie was very easy to work with, very professional, and it’s easy to tell she has a passion for animals! I will definitely be using her services again!”

“Hannah & Patrick were great with our pups. We did a meet & greet the week before so our dogs could meet on a nice walk. They have a nice sized yard for the dogs to play outside & took them on lots of walks! They only spent the day with them but they got lots of love, exercise & I got a lot of pics! Can’t wait for Lily& Ellie to visit again”

About: I have always loved dogs. Since, I was a child pet sitting has been one of my favorite things to do to make extra money. I currently work full-time from home. Having a pet to care for will not only help past time but also bring joy while working full-time. I have lots of free space in my home, allowing pets to run freely throughout their stay. It is very homey for both humans and pets. I will ensure your pet is safe & well taken care of.
“Julia took great care of Bowser and cleaned up after his puppy accidents (we are still working on going outside). We already have her booked for some upcoming drop-in visits!”

About: I’ve been a dog owner most of my life! Currently, I own two dogs and I treat them like children. I’ve taken care of dogs since the age of 12. My family and friends would ask me to watch, feed, walk and play with their dog when out of town. I work from home so I will have plenty of time to play with your pups. I am available for weekend boarding, drop off anytime. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs that can play with your fur baby. I have a crate for your fur baby if needed.
“Mazikeen had such a great time with Hannah! She was so tired at the end of the day. We signed up for doggie day care. I definitely plan on using her services again in the future.”

About: I have years of experience taking care of other peoples’ dogs as well as my own, who is almost ten! I have a big fenced in yard with lots of shade that would be great for your pup! I work early mornings into the early afternoons. So after my work day, I’m home mostly relaxing or working in the yard and engage in lots of hobbies around the house. I will be around to tend to any needs your dog may have :) I live with my partner and our dog, Mulder, who is 9 years old. We have a fenced in yard with lots of shade that our dog loves and would love to share with your dog , too! We can also host indoors so the pups can cool off and relax.
“Once again, Kaya had a great time and was in good hands! Exceptional care and flexibility when I needed it due to recent weather events and unexpected delays. Thank you SO much!”

“Beast can't wait to visit Ms. Judy and Autumn he is always excited and running to the door. Ms. Judy is so sweet and nurturing I feel comfortable at work knowing she is caring for him. I was very apprehensive with placing him in day care this is his first experience, she puts my mind at ease with all the photos and communication throughout the day.”

About: I have my own fur baby, her name is Brooklyn and I worked at a vet office for years. I am comfortable with small pets inhome. I work from home, I have my own pet! I walk my dog 3x a day, I feed her 2x and we play indoors. 🙂 I walk my dog on the leash, we go on the trails or park, when colder we spend more time closer to home, playing inhouse.
About: I am a dedicated momma to 2 human teenager and 1 fur baby, Oliver. I've cared for multiple pets in our home, checked on neighbor's dogs when they're out of town, and also fostered dogs in need of a safe place to stay. We're a dog family through and through. I'm in between jobs right now so I'm available for walking, drop-ins, boarding, and day care and can take on short notice gigs. I can't wait to love on your fur baby! I have a very open and flexible schedule. I prefer to offer care M-F during the hours of 9:00 am and 9:00 pm, but I'm also flexible if the need arises! I always meet a new dog with gentleness and let them feel me out - smell my hand, don't approach them, give a treat, etc. I always stick to the instructions and routine provided by their family to keep the care as stress-free as possible for the pup. My goal in pet care is to make sure the dogs feel loved and cared for while their owners are away!
About: For my husband and me, caring for dogs is a deep-seated passion. Our world revolves around their happiness and well-being. We started this journey because we believe every dog deserves to feel safe, cherished, and right at home, even when their favorite people are away. When your dog stays with us, they become a temporary, but much-loved, member of our family. As a husband-and-wife team, pet care is the heart of our household's daily rhythm. Our days are structured around our furry guests, including morning and evening walks, dedicated playtime, and consistent feeding times. Because we're a team, there is always someone home, ensuring your dog receives constant companionship and attention. Their routine truly guides our day. Our number one priority is creating a safe, secure, and loving environment. We do not have a fenced yard, but we do take them for a walk all the time (always when needed). We treat every dog like a member of our family, with plenty of affection. To build trust, we maintain your dog's specific routine and send you daily photo and video updates, giving you complete peace of mind that they are happy and in responsible hands.

My husband and I both love animals so much and really enjoy meeting new furry friends through this work! I am insured and have a great relationship with our local vet in case of any emergencies.
About: I have over 900 5 Star reviews on the Wag! app for dog walking, boarding and overnight sitting. Joined a local company that I currently work for and have several private clients that prefer to work with me directly. I have pet care insurance independently from the platforms I've used. I leave every home I visit better than I found it. Checking mail, taking out trash, all manner of special touches. I am handy and have changed light bulbs and air conditioning filters at overnights where i felt the client needed help with those things. Dogs naturally love me. I've had clients joke about their dog liking me more than them. I go above and beyond to make sure your pet is safe and happy while in my care. I can leash train or correct "bad" behavior with positivity and patience. I am working on CPR certification and constantly expand my knowledge of breeds and training techniques. I care for pets full-time. Ready to do walks, dropins and overnight sittings. I am pretty full as far as midday walks go, but can adjust in certain cases I currently don't do day care at my home. I do have my own dog that often accompanies me for my visits and pet sitting.
About: I grew up on a farm and took care of a variety of animals. As a young teen I spent my summers volunteering at a Vet Clinic where I fed, walked, and bathed numerous cats and dogs. As I got older, I began to pet sit while family and friends went on vacation. I am currently off for the Summer, so I am home all day to ensure your furry friends are well loved. I am available weekdays and weekends. I have an unfenced yard with several trees lining the back of the property. Your pet will be safely supervised while in the yard, whether on the leash or off. Pets can be crated as needed, but are free to roam the house and lay on the furniture. Our home is their home!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Archer Lodge commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
