About: Hi there! My name is Kayla, and I’ve been a loving pet parent for over five years to my sweet Yorkipoo, Belle. She’s a 13-pound bundle of joy; she’s very shy, but also very sweet! Caring for Belle has given me firsthand experience with everything from daily walks and enrichment activities to specialized feeding schedules, administering medicine, and providing a calm, safe environment. For your peace of mind, I’m located just 2 minutes from both Banfield Pet Hospital and Knightdale Animal Hospital, so prompt care is always within reach if ever needed. I treat every pet like family and can’t wait to care for yours! Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine! I work 100% from home Monday through Friday, which allows me to provide around-the-clock attention and care for pups throughout the day. Whether it’s potty breaks, playtime, walks, or just some extra snuggles, I’m always nearby and available to keep your pet happy and comfortable. I’m also available for boarding and doggy day care needs on weekdays and weekends, so whether you’re heading out for the day or taking a longer trip, your pet will be in loving hands. I live in a quiet, pet-friendly apartment community with clean walking paths, plenty of green space, and a secure off-leash dog park perfect for playtime. Inside, my home is a calm, cozy, and safe space where pets can relax and feel at ease. I take extra care to create a peaceful environment that’s free from hazards and full of love. Whether your pet needs exercise, snuggles, or structured routines, I’m ready to provide the same level of love and attention I give Belle every day.

Beast can't wait to visit Ms. Judy and Autumn he is always excited and running to the door. Ms. Judy is so sweet and nurturing I feel comfortable at work knowing she is caring for him. I was very apprehensive with placing him in day care this is his first experience, she puts my mind at ease with all the photos and communication throughout the day.

About: I don’t have any special skills but I treat every pet with care, patience, and attention. I’m reliable, I communicate, and I always follow instructions. I am full time student during the week so I don’t have a work schedule to get in the way of pet care. Not having a job means that my weekends are open and flexible. This means that I can give your pet my full attention during their stay with me. When I care for pets in my home I make sure that they are comfortable and I treat them as if they are my own. I follow their normal routine and special instructions given.

About: I sometimes feel like a dog/cat whisper. I have a very calm nature and I think dogs/cats can really pick up on this. I have had animals of my own but could no longer afford the monetary funds it takes to care for dogs and cats. I am a retired active senior citizen and I have a lot of spare time I would love to devote to dog/cat boarding or walking. When I do care for dogs/cats in my home, I try to make sure they feel I care for them and snuggle and hold them, if I am allowed by the animal. I always wait to see if they have sniffed me and that lets me know they are or are not accepting of me.

About: I have years of experience taking care of other peoples’ dogs as well as my own, who is almost ten! I have a big fenced in yard with lots of shade that would be great for your pup! I work early mornings into the early afternoons. So after my work day, I’m home mostly relaxing or working in the yard and engage in lots of hobbies around the house. I will be around to tend to any needs your dog may have :) I live with my partner and our dog, Mulder, who is 9 years old. We have a fenced in yard with lots of shade that our dog loves and would love to share with your dog , too! We can also host indoors so the pups can cool off and relax.

Becca is our dogs' best friend! We hadn't seen her in 3 months (pandemic) and as soon as we got out of the car at her house, our dogs ran right up the stairs to go into her house! I could tell they were excited to see her and she was equally excited to see them. I trust her 100% with my pups.

Danielle has an awesome setup at her place where all the dogs are having the best time. We left our 1yr old border collie for daycare at her place and I received updates and videos throughout the day. Otto came back home and was so tired from playing with them and the other dogs all day. We really appreciate how much Danielle cares for the dogs and will be coming back frequently!

Traveling out of state. Needed someone to watch my puppy. First time using Rover.com. I was very impressed how quickly Kourtney responded to my request for same day care. Great communication and very friendly. I felt good about leaving my puppy with her. My puppy had a great time. After picking her up and back to the hotel she went straight to sleep. Thank you Kourtney for taking good care of my baby.

Brenda is a very nice lady. Cia loved spending time with her. She got walks and cuddles and playtime. Cia would have stayed with Brenda if we would have let her when we came to pick her up. That says a lot. I highly recommend her! Thanks Brenda for taking great care of our baby.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Lizard Lick

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Lizard Lick on Rover is $30.5 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,239 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Lizard Lick. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lizard Lick commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,239 sitters in Lizard Lick, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
