I have had animals of my own but could no longer afford the monetary funds it takes to care for dogs and cats. I am a retired active senior citizen and I have a lot of spare time I would love to devote to dog/cat boarding or walking. When I do care for dogs/cats in my home, I try to make sure they feel I care for them and snuggle and hold them, if I am allowed by the animal. About: I have always had animals in my home growing up. Currently I own 4 cats but have had small rodents such as hamsters and guinea pigs as well. I worked in pet care for Petsmart and worked there for 2 and a half years before beginning my teaching career. I have taken care of and watched my parents animals which consisted of 6 cats, one had to have insulin twice a day. About: I have had dogs my whole life ranging from 175 to 50 pounds. My family also breeds dogs so I’m comfortable with all ages. I have dog sat for numerous family and friends and love all animals so your pet will get treated as if they were my own. I’ve also took care of dogs that take medication, are on special diets. I have a full time job but I make my own schedule so I will base that off of my schedule with rover. Pets will be well taken care of and took on walks. If your pet is more laid back and likes to lay around all day then we will do that. If your pet has a lot of energy and like to run the we can do that as well. I have plenty of yard for your pet/pets to play. I currently don’t have any other animals in the house and am waiting for my puppy to be born! About: I’ve had animals my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I’ve primarily cared for small and medium-sized dogs, but I’ve also had experience with larger dogs, including my roommate's two who were very cautious and selective about who they trusted. Somehow, they quickly decided I was one of their people! My family and friends also regularly trust me with their furry family members and often come to me for advice. I had no nervousness about them or their home or pet. Jett felt the same, it was instant comfort. Great communication for a first time stay :) Judy also let me know general details about dogs coming for day care while Jett would be there just for my awareness. Everything went well and they were so kind and flexible when my return flights got delayed!”

I felt my dog Angel was loved on and cared for. I received messages and pictures. Hillary went above and beyond she even figured out my dog's excessive licking which turned out to be a food allergy. I really appreciate everything they did for my dog. I would not hesitate to leave him with them again.”
“Gretchen is Wonderful! I was not sure what I was going to do because the usual sitter was not available. From the meet and greet and forward, Gretchen made me comfortable as I watched her with her dogs and mine. My pup is tiny so I am always cautious when he is with larger dogs which hers were under 40 lbs but my pup is only 9 lbs and he is a senior dog. Gretchen communicated well and provided excellent service! Her family was good with my pup. I can’t express how grateful I am to have found Gretchen! She is Outstanding!”
