“Mitzi and her family did a wonderful job of taking care of our 2 dogs. Our pups got lots of attention and Mitzi contacted us with lots of photos, videos and updates. We can't thank her and her family enough for their great care. We will definitely be using her again. Thank you again, Mitzi.”

“Laura was absolutely amazing with our pup! 🐾 She sent us daily pictures and videos and always replied to our messages quickly, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Most importantly, she truly loved on our fur baby as if he were her own. We felt completely comfortable knowing Laura was caring for him and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving pet sitter.”

“Hannah and Patrick are truly amazing. Our girl is in love with them and their beautiful dog, Bailey. She had the best time. Hannah sent pictures throughout the stay which relieved some of the stress I had leaving my sweet girl. We will for sure use them again. Highly recommended!”

“Dominic was great with Jazzy. We had a emergency room visit a couple days before drop off and I was kind of worried, but she was in great care. Her wound is almost completely healed, like nothing ever happened. Dominic also administered her antibiotic medicine as well. Jazzy also made two new friends Pepper and Parsley. Dominic was also great with sending updates and pictures of Jazzy during the visit. If you decide to give Dominic a try you won't be disappointed and the dogs will love the backyard, plenty of room to run and frolic and it's fenced in.”

“Dior had a great stay at Marissa & Mosieo’s. They have two small dogs & a fenced in yard so she had play buddies, space & time to run around. Marissa shared a video of pure joy. She made herself at home.”

“I left my puppy with Michelle and she was amazing! She was great with communication and gave me updates throughout the day. Luna was happy when I picked her up. I’ll definitely use her again.”

“Luis is the best! He was so gracious to pick Egypt up from the hotel location and scheduled the pick up with my mom. Egypt saw him and willingly scampered off to his car. He gave her lots of love attention and walks! Luis sent pictures every morning with comments on her day. We look forward to having Egypt stay with him for future dates!”

“Isabel was the perfect pup sitter!! Our dog takes medicine and has separation anxiety; isabel gave him so much love and attention to cure that anxiety! We loved receiving so many amazing photos of our pup while he stayed with her seeing he was having such a great time. Highly recommend!”

“Judy watched Bennie for a long weekend while I was out of town and this being the first time I’ve left him with someone for that long, I was nervous. But Judy was incredibly sweet and so was her puppy. Bennie was well taken care of and I got lots of pictures. She has a very nice fenced in yard and lets the dogs come and go as they please. I will definitely be using Judy again!”

“Renee was so awesome and helpful in watching our pup Migo on a last minute short notice. She was very responsive, available to meet and even flexible with my schedule, and sent us pictures and updates of our dog throughout the stay. He seemed to have a great time with her and we hope that he can stay with her again in the future!”

“I had an issue with another sitter I had set up through Rover for when I'd be out of town and they dropped my dogs back at home despite me not being there. I contacted Kimberly immediately and although she was also out of town, she took the time to go to my house and get my dogs as soon as she got back that night. She is an absolute angel and is great with my high energy boys. I cannot recommend her enough. I am so thankful for her!”

“Piper has been staying with Scott and Heather for years. When she arrives at their home, she literally runs to the front door. This last visit, she jumped out the truck window, because , waiting for someone to open the door apparently, wasn't quick enough. They are her second family!”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received! Their home is warm and inviting, and the fenced-in backyard was a huge bonus. I loved receiving daily photo updates—it gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was very clear that they truly love dogs and treated mine like part of their family. I will definitely be booking with them again for any future pet-sitting needs. I give a million stars and more! Highly recommend!”

“We are so happy that we found Pam. She is amazing with our two dogs, CC and Chewy. She sent us daily photos of them, and we can see they were really enjoying themselves. Her home was perfect for the dogs, they had their own dog door to go in and out of. A very nice sized and secure backyard in a nice neighborhood. Will be using Pam again in the future and the dogs will be so happy to see her again. :)”

“My dog Bonnie has stayed with Sally a couple times and it has been wonderful! She sent lots of pictures and videos and loves on my dog as if she is her own. Her dog Molly is also very sweet and tolerated my dogs puppy energy so well. Sally was also extremely understanding and accommodating when I had a flight delay and couldn’t pick up at the time originally discussed. We will continue to use Sally any time we need a dog sitter!”

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
97% of Archer Lodge sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Archer Lodge landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Archer Lodge home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Archer Lodge.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
