Come play at the farm!Clayton, NC

Does your dog love to be with other dogs? If so, they can come be part of our pack! We have two GSDs, a fenced in play area and a large covered play area on our 17 acre farm.

Our drop off and pick up hours are from 7-9am and 6-7pm. We require a meet and greet before any first stay to ensure the comfort and safety of all dogs in our care. New clients should allow at least one week advance notice to allow time for a meet and greet.

We have been rescuing and fostering dogs for many years so we are used to giving meds and dealing with special needs. Just be sure to let us know what your fuzzy friend needs so we can be prepared and not surprised.

Your pet must be at least 22 pounds (so they won't get hurt) and they must get along with other dogs. While we are experienced in handling dog aggression issues, we don’t accept dogs who have issues with other dogs.

About this sitter:

My husband and I rescue German Shepherd Dogs. We currently have two GSD rescues. Plenty of birds and squirrels hang out here at the farm. And, the outside fenced area has full view of goats, geese and ducks.

We've been dog lovers all of our lives. Both of us were raised with dogs and feel like life wouldn't be complete without them to share it with :) We love being surrounded by furry friends like yours!

Al and Laura's Home away from HomeNortheast, Raleigh, NC

Hi everyone, my name is Laura and my husband's name is Al! Our life is pretty animal focused and we see our animals as our family, like our own kids. We like to spend most of our free time with our fur kids; hiking, playing, cuddling, etc. Personally, we are not fond of kenneling our animals when we can't take care of them which is what brought us to Rover! We want to provide the kind of experience and level of care for other animal families just like we do for our own. We treat all our clients like they are one of pack so that they feel right at home and comfortable whether they are staying with us or we are coming to them.

We have 4 dogs and 1 cat. Our oldest, Foxy, is a sweet 17 year old cattle dog mix with beautiful brindle color fur. She may be a senior dog but no one told her that because she still has a lot of pep in her step! Our second oldest dog, Zeus, is a 12 year old pitbill mix who still thinks and acts like a puppy. He also thinks he's the size of a toy dog and doesn't quite understand when he cannot fit in my lap. They both have been together for about 12 yrs. Our cat ,Ziggy, is our referee for when our dogs start to play too rough. He meows loudly until they stop and boy does it work. Lucy is our 5 year old beagle with lot of energy that keeps all of us on our toes. She is very vocal when she wants something which be pretty cute. Last but not least, we have our newest addition, Ludo. He is a 1year pit bull who loves to give everyone, dogs especially, he meets tons of kisses. He loves all dogs but the small ones hold a special place in his heart. They all are house broken and know their eat and walk schedules.

Our typical day on the weekends is just playing with the dogs and laying around and more playing with the dogs. Our service is great because we have over 16 years of experience with a variety of animals. From taking care of our friends pets and family's pets and also pets we have never met along the way! We have a huge 2 story house and we are in the process of installing fence.

We would love to a second home and family for your babies! Let us know if you have any questions.

Just like home...A doggie B&B!Raleigh, NC

I have been a Rover Sitter since 2014. My home is in a very quiet neighborhood with a fully fenced large back yard. Your dog will be busy exploring, playing and receiving attention and not stressing out because they are alone or in a noisy kennel situation. Your dog will be a true member of the family. I have one medium sized dog and no children. Plenty of dog beds through out the house to rest in between play times. I am semi- retired and at home most all of the time. I only work 2 short evenings a week and therefore I would crate your dog at this time for their safety. I love spending time outside playing with the dogs and have plenty of time for snuggling too. Your dog should be dog friendly and up to date on vaccinations and flea/ heartworm prevention. I prefer neutered pets. I do not accept dogs that have incontinence issues. I have lots of experience giving pet meds if necessary and can prepare special diets.

I previously worked at a boarding kennel and because there is so much noise and barking there, even the calm dogs would seemed stressed. So I have seen first hand the value having your dog in a peaceful home environment where they will have plenty of the TLC that they deserve. Plus arrival and pick-up times can be flexible unlike the business hours most boarding kennels or veterinarians offer. You will be stress free and truly relax knowing your best friend is in good hands. I will send you daily updates and pictures. I feed all boarding dogs separately to avoid any resource guarding issues.

About this sitter:

Give your dog a fun stay in a tranquil quiet environment. I have been a Rover Sitter since 2014. My home is on a 3/4 acre lot. Your dog will truly be a member of my family. I have two well behaved playful medium size dogs and no children. Lots of dog beds through out the house and plenty of time for snuggling too. I am semi- retired and currently only work evenings on Tues. and Wednesdays. Otherwise I am home all the time. I have many years of dog experience. I am comfortable giving pet meds and special diets. I prefer neutered/spayed dogs. Your dog should be dog friendly and up to date on vaccinations and flea/heartworm prevention and have basic good manners and be dog friendly. I do not accept incontinent pets. I will treat your pets as if they were my own. I will be caring for them in my home therefore I ask that you respect my home and only bring dogs that are clean, brushed, nails trimmed, and parasite and FLEA FREE.

I have worked at a boarding kennel where there is so much noise and barking that even the calm dogs became stressed. The other alternative is to have someone stay in your home with your pets. However, unless you REALLY know that person, would you be comfortable having someone coming in and out of your home? The ideal situation is to have your dog in a peaceful, loving, home environment so that you can be stress free as well, knowing your beloved family member is in good hands. I will send daily updates and photos. Before your pet's stay we can discuss your pets special needs and personality and arrange for a meet and greet so you will know if this is the right choice for your cherished pet.

Why I love dog sitting

I have had and loved dogs all of my life. I understand the importance of the human and animal bond, and what that adds to life. I have trained service dogs and an accellerant detection dog. I think of training as behavioral enrichment for both the dog and myself with the goal of peaceful co-existence. I keep current on dog training, nutrition and health issues.

About my yard

My home is on a 3/4 acre lot. The backyard is fully fenced with a lawn and a nice mix of sun and shade. Plenty of room to run and explore and be a dog. Your dog can have plenty of off leash safe supervised playtime. I live in a very quiet neigborhood with very little traffic.

My experience administering medication

Yes. I have lots of experience giving oral, topical meds as well as injections.

Caring and loving to all petsSouthwest, Raleigh, NC

I currently work full time at a veterinary office as a vet assistant. I have done this for 7 years. Before working at the vet I worked for 5 years at a popular Raleigh dog and cat boarding facility. I love animals and I treat every one of them as my own. I can tailor the type of care I give to the type, breed, age, excitement level, etc. of the dog. I have been pet sitting for clients at my work, and they sways have good things to say. I make sure their dog goes home happy, healthy, and tired from their stay. Whether you have a couch potato dog or a dog who just wants to run, I can help with your needs.

love dog walks and playtimeClayton, NC

I have worked with and loved animals all my life . We had dogs, cats and horses growing up and I loved training and taking care of all of them. I was a veterinary technician in college and received my Bachelors degree from Louisiana State University majoring in animal science. I was a farm manager and eventually became a veterinary hospital director before becoming a stay at home mom. I love caring for animals and promoting healthy pets in families. I volunteer with my children at the spca and other rescue groups to help them foster a love for animals like I have and support our community to provide all animals with their forever families. I have always had dogs as part of my family.
