“Julia was fantastic with our 3 dogs for an hour drop in. She was on time, sent detailed notes about the visit and was super flexible with our schedule and needs. Will be utilizing her services many more times in the future!”

“Leah was quite literally the best dog sitter we have ever had. She was so kind and loving to our girl and we didn’t worry a bit while we were out of town. We will absolutely be using Leah again!”

“We definitely will be using Larry again in the future! He did a great job with our kitty and even accommodated an extra trip on immediate notice for a fresh dog food delivery that we forgot to postpone. He stopped by to make sure it got into the freezer. Looking forward to building a lasting relationship with someone who is attentive and reliable.”

“Courtney came through for us at a time that was so difficult. We weren’t sure about leaving our pup who was scheduled to have major surgery, but she loved her and took care of her for the couple of days that we were gone and after her surgery followed up to see how she was doing. She is simply the best!”

“According to Mr. Meatballs (my distinguished feline critic with impeccable taste in humans), Suzie gets five paws up! He reports that she speaks fluent cat (including his advanced dialectical meowing) and passed all his rigorous tests: appropriate treat dispensing, optimal belly scratching technique, and most importantly, she didn't try to make him wear any ridiculous outfits. The Mr. Meatballs seal of approval is not given lightly, but Suzie has definitely earned it. Highly recommend!”

“Bethany is amazing! I have a puppy and she handles him with such love and care. She is great with training and teaching him commands, she’s always on time, she leaves me great feedback, takes videos and photos of the little man and overall so loving and kind. She even bought him a toy broccoli which is now his favorite toy! Thank you for taking such good care of my puppy!”

“Jessica take care of my cat and assuring she is well taking care. She FaceTime me one day that I was worried about my cat, and it reassured me and I’m sure my cat was happy to hear my voice. I recommend her. I should have write a review before, but I barely ever write some. Thanks Jessica to watch on my precious Princess while I’m traveling!”
“Great sitter for my two dogs. Great reports and pictures of my dogs daily. She went over and above what was required, vacuuming the house of the dog hair for me, my shepherd sheds bad this time of the year. ! Highly recommend her and would use her again if the need arises.”
“Jen has been great! She is communicative and makes it easy to coordinate. Our (often skittish) dog took some time to warm up, but Jen was patient and worked with her to feel comfortable. Now she’s thrilled to see Jen and sad when she has to say goodbye. All around, an amazing experience.”

“Adrienne is great with my cats. One is super shy and unsure of life, she has warmed up to her during the second time Adrienne has watched her. Marco is also a bit unsure, but seems to also like her. I’m grateful for how responsive she is and that she is patient with me as an overprotective cat parent.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
