“Hannah is simply the best. She's our go-to sitter every time we need to go away, and we wouldn't trust our cats with anyone else. She's reliable, caring, and genuinely treats them like her own. Most recently, she even made sure they were looked after when she wasn't feeling well — that kind of dedication says everything about the kind of person she is. We always leave knowing our babies are in good hands. If you're looking for someone you can truly count on, look no further.”

About: I’ve take care of all kinds of animals (dogs, cats, reptiles) since I was 10 years old. I have always been a trustworthy person to take care of your beloved family member. I am a teacher, a dog and cat owner myself. I am reliable, honest and kind to every person and animal big or small. I’m a teacher who has open summers. I can come morning, afternoon, or night. I have my own dog and cats that I care for on a daily basis and I would treat your animals just like I would my own. I have a fenced yard with a very friendly, spayed Dalmatian named Blue. I also have 2 very friendly rescue cats, Graham and Mellow. I have a lot of space and experience.
“Alexandra was wonderful. She took such good care of my dog while we were away. She gave nice updates and took lots of pictures on their walks. I really felt like my pup was in great hands. She was also always on time for her check ins which was great as well! I will definitely book with her again when we need care for our dog!”

“Taylor took great care of out dog while our family we were away for a few days. She provided frequent updates and pictures. She a great choice for anyone looking for pet care!”

About: Through every stage of life, I have had a dog with me. They are the sweetest companions. My husband and I love animals! My husband works from home, so our flexible schedule allows for us to be present with our fur baby all the time! I am a first grade teacher and my husband works from home. Our schedule is very flexible as there is always one of us home to care for animals! We have a fenced yard, giant dog park across the street, and a 4 year old golden retriever who is very friendly and loves to play! We have 3 extra bedrooms, so lots of space to host extra doggie love!
“Moriah was wonderful with our 2 cats. In addition to taking great care of them, she brought in many packages and took our trash bin down and back. Sent very detailed updates and made going on vacation easy. Highly recommend.”

“Rodrigo was able to come do a drop-in for me very last-minute. He was very responsive, prompt, and punctual and I really appreciated his help! My dogs were happy upon my return and it was such a relief. Would definitely hire again.”

“Andrea did a great job watching our cat while we were gone on a trip. She was very good at communicating with us before and during the trip. She even stopped by before to meet our cat and make sure it was a good fit. Thank you so much Andrea!”

About: I’ve had fur family members all my life. I have been a pet sitter for friends and family since I was old enough to open a can of cat food. I fostered 10 dogs and 27 cats for the SPCA. I am experienced and comfortable with dogs, cats, rabbits, you name it. As a school psychologist, I had wonderful “therapy” Guinea pig in my office. I am caring and respectful of pets needs. My goal is to make pets and their parents happy and at ease. I am a retired school psychologist with an open schedule and a love for walks and being outside. Having a dog with me on walks, makes it more fun. I have flexibility to stop by and entertain your fur babies. Appropriate supervision will be provided. Fenced property and leash walks will keep your dog safe. Indoor pets will be kept in safe rooms with plenty of space to exercise and play.
“Kaelyn was AMAZING!! She was flexible to our schedule, was so loving and kind to our two cats, and gave us amazing updates on how they were doing. She made us feel so comfortable knowing our girls were in good hands!”

“Xeque was absolutely amazing!! She answered all of my questions before booking. Went above and beyond the first few days by sending us extra photos because we don’t leave our dogs for vacation very often! She even helped me out by sitting something on my porch for someone that was coming to pick it up! We absolutely loved having her and so did our pups. We watched them through our Furbo get excited every time she walked through the door! We will absolutely be using Xeque again!!!”

About: I've lived with animals since birth; dogs, cats, hamsters, you name it. I love animals like children and they are certainly treated like it when they are with me. I currently have three small dogs; a chihuahua mix and two dachshund mixes, but I have experience with dogs of all sizes! My childhood dog was a german shepherd mix, so I am certainly not intimidated by large fur babies! Since I am so animal centered, I have patience with different issues as well. Accidents inside the house, sleeping on furniture/beds are not a problem in my home. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I work my schedule around my guests. Coming home throughout the day for potty breaks and a long walk in the morning/evenings, as well as time a the dog park if preferred! I can care for your pets in my home or yours. Whether we are just going for a walk, or spending the week together, I try to make your pet as comfortable as possible.
“Angellena took great care of our two kitties while we were away for several days! We've had issues with past sitters not scooping the litter boxes properly, and also leaving dirty dishes and empty food containers on the counter, but with Angellena this was not the case. Everything was tidy and just as clean as we'd left it, and our cats were in good spirits, too. Because they both have compromised immune systems, it's important that we have a sitter who can care for them in our home as though they were their own. We are so happy to have found Angellena and will definitely contact her the next time we need a sitter!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Auburn. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
