“We are so thankful for Lacey for being the best pet sitter! She goes above and beyond for our pets to help them be as happy and comfortable as they can and treats them as her own. We also really love and look forward to her care summaries and pictures. We really appreciate everything she’s done for our babies”

“Brittany did a great job taking care of our cats! She was punctual, followed all instructions, and went beyond expectation. We would definitely book her again.”

“Brianna is responsive and communicates well. She took great care of our dogs after a last minute cancellation from another dog sitter. We’d easily consider her again the next time we need dog sitting.”

“Charlie (cat) loved having Sara come by. I understand he was waiting. When I got home he was also waiting at the door, but soon realized it was just me. She did a great job. She sent pictures and communicated extremely well. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a kind and compassionate animal lover. Thanks Sara.”

About: I have been petsitting and dog walking my neighborhood pets for several years and had the privilege to work as a research technician who helped in husbandry at UNC Chapel Hills Division of Comparative Medicine canine unit. I love making new furry friends and gaining experience to help my pre-veterinary journey as a college student! I am available every day of the week starting June 30th seeing that i am home for the summer from college. I am available during the hours of 8am-8pm and am interested in house sitting. I have a fenced yard for my dog to keep them from getting out and my cat is an inside cat who stay in the upstairs bedrooms
“I could not have asked for a sweeter, kinder companion for my dog. Courtney was thoughtful and caring. She kept this nervous pet parent updated and sent pictures to reassure me all was well. I needed an extra day and she stepped up to do it. I will hire her whenever the need arises and she is available.”

“Cannan was amazing, we had a literally last minute cancellation for an entire week of cat sitting over the holidays. She was super quick to respond to our booking request and hopped on a phone call since we were already out of state and couldn’t do a walk through. Our kitties warmed up to her and we are so happy she was able to take care of them. Would definitely book again!!”

“This is the third time that I’ve used Riley now and she has been great! Even let me know about an ant problem around my cat’s food and helped take care of it for me while I was gone for an extended period! Thanks Riley!”

About: I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember—they’ve always been part of my life. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities, from playful puppies to more laid-back or shy dogs. I’ve helped with walks, feeding, and everyday care, and I really enjoy spending time with them. Friends and family trust me to look after their pets because they know I’m reliable and genuinely care. I treat every dog like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and can spend plenty of time with your pet throughout the day. I’m able to adjust to your pet’s routine, whether that’s regular walks, feeding times, or just keeping them company and making sure they’re not alone. I live in a pet-friendly 2 bed, 2 bath apartment with a spacious and bright living area where pets can feel comfortable and relaxed. There’s a greenway right downstairs and Dix Park nearby, which makes it very convenient for safe and enjoyable walks. I always keep a clean, calm environment and pay close attention to each pet’s needs, making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Adreanna is a great sitter and my kitties love her! She’s very reliable, communicative and does such a great job. I appreciate her care so much while I’m away. Definitely recommend her :)”

I have experience with aggressive, disabled, and high energy animals, as well as all types of species! I can’t wait to meet your pet and give them the best care! I am currently taking classes but I am flexible in the mornings and evenings to take care of your pet! I am often free and have a flexible schedule on weekends. I will walk dogs with awareness and attentiveness of your pet, and during house visits I will make sure your pet is comfortable, happy, and healthy! I will make sure your pet is active and playing, and I don't mind attending to other requests while you're away.
“Larz is the man! He was prompt with my last minute begging and pleading to walk my ol doggo and was totally up for the challenge, even after working all day. In just the 30 minute booking I got 4 pictures and a great summary report. Couldn't be more rest assured and happy to have gotten him as our sitter. Will for sure utilize his services in the future if he is willing!”

Nate was wonderful to have sit our cats! He took great care of them, and our home. He came over beforehand to meet the kitties and was a pleasure to talk with. We felt so much better while traveling with having someone we felt comfortable with caring for our cats.

Recently booked with Natalie while on vacation. She was great. She had great communication and updates throughout and I could tell she treated Rory like one of her own cats. It was nice to be relaxed knowing he was well cared for. Will definitely look to book with her again in the future!

Summer was such a wonderful pet sitter for my cat! They were prompt and helpful in their communication, and knew all of the questions to ask to make the experience as seamless as possible. I’ve been back for one day, and I think my cat misses them already! They provided thoughtful and helpful feedback with each visit, and the photos they sent made me feel like my cat was in good hands. I would highly recommended seeking out Summer for your pet care needs.
Mae was an amazing sitter! She was kind, communicative, and incredibly patient, my cat decided to cause some chaos while I was away, and she cleaned up without complaint. She also went above and beyond by handling a wrong address on my account with total understanding. Would absolutely book again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
