About: I’ve been surrounded by and taken care of various types of animals since i was very young. I spent over 100 hours volunteering at a senior center where i was often needed to help care for their pets. Family and friends frequently rely on me to walk, feed, pet-sit and even bathe their pets. I have also worked for 2 years at a doggy daycare where i received multiple certifications including canine cpr training and learned all about animal behaviors and signals. As a pet owner myself I understand the importance of not only the animals needs but the owners as well. With a positive, fun attitude and a passion for animals, i would be able to provide your pets with exceptional care. I’m currently only working part-time, as well going to college. Therefore, i would be able to find plenty of time to play with your furry friends! My typical availability is evenings on Monday,Wednesday, and Friday and any time throughout the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, I’m willing to be flexible and if your in need of something else feel free to reach out and i can try to work something out for you and your pet as my schedule does fluctuate. I have a fenced in backyard with a camera for security purposes and lots of shade as well as two friendly dogs of my own that are up to date with all of their shots and vaccinations and more than welcoming of new furry friends. I can definitely put your pet in a crate in a calm and quiet space or a more upbeat, busy area if needed for their comfort. Although I live in a low- crime and safe area, My home does have an advanced security system to ensure the safety of everyone and every pet that enters.

“Andrei did an excellent job taking care of both of my dogs. I highly recommend him for any breed. I have a large mastiff, and he and Andre instantly bonded. Andrea is also very communicative and responsive when needed.”

“Roxanna was SO helpful to us while we were out of town and went above and beyond for us. I didn’t worry a second that our kitties werent taken care of! Thank you again!”

“Kelsey is AWESOME! We had her watch our sweet pup while we were out of town. We felt at ease & were able to enjoy our vacation knowing Dinger was well taken care of. We needed someone to drop in last minute on Easter & we were so thankful she was available. She sent us very detailed updates & tons of pictures. 😁”

“Lorraine took great care of our pups! She was available for a drop in on short notice and made our first time using Rover a breeze. She was kind and gentle with our pups during the meet and greet so it gave us piece of mind that they would be in good hands during the visit. We definitely recommend!”

“Stephanie did an outstanding job taking care of my cat Polina while I was on vacation. Her updates were thorough and had many pictures which let me know that Polina was in good hands. She went above and beyond by giving special treats, lots of playtime, and timely care for my cat. I will be using Stephanie in the future for cat care and would highly recommend her for other pet owners!”

“Zainab was great to work with! We had someone cancel last minute and she was able to step in and save the day! While watching our dog, Zainab was sure to share updates and photos with us! Would definitely hire again”

About: I’ve taken care of my friends dogs and cats-including a rambunctious golden retriever, as well as my family dog for years! I’ve walked, fed, and played with many pets, and I love them all 🥰 I have an open schedule, so I can make multiple visits during the morning, afternoon, or evening. I can accommodate any time your dog or cat needs I live very close to a greenway access and can walk your dog there! “Haley was recommended to me by a friend when I found myself in need of help with taking care of my dogs for the month of July. She was punctual and flexible when I had a last minute schedule change. It was a comfort while on shift to know that I didn't have to worry about my dogs and that they were well taken care of. Haley will be my go to for any future dog care needs.”
“Emily is so kind, friendly and professional. Our sweet kitty loved her immediately! She asked great questions to ensure he was going to be well cared for. Thank you for your help Emily!”

“Pamela met Sgàile for the first time today. Sgàile is very timid and has a short social tolerance. Pamela was patient with him, met him at his floor level, and Sgàile was accepting petting from her in a surprisingly short amount of time. I REALLY appreciate Pamela's patience and loving pet heart. As a rescue dog, Sgàile's historical trauma was won over with Pamela's patient kindness. So grateful!”

Sabrina was incredible! She took such great care of our 3 cats. Sent so many pictures and left detailed updates after each visit. She even took extra care when one of our cats had an eye problem. It was very comforting to know she was treating and caring for our cats as her own! Should we need cat sitting services in the future, we will 100% rebook with Sabrina. Cannot recommend her enough!!

This was my first time leaving my cats with a stranger, and Rachel couldn’t have been a better pick for it. We arranged a meet & greet a few days prior so she could get the lay of the land and let the cats warm up to her. One of my cats hides from new people, the other lashes out. Rachel somehow made them both feel safe enough to be present and curious - the snippy one even genuinely liked her by the end of it! Each morning and night I looked forward to her Rover cards, and really enjoyed watching my babies get more and more comfortable with her. My partner and I are breathing a collective sigh of relief, knowing we now have a go-to cat sitter for future trips.

Lena was so amazing with my cat! She was so caring and loving toward her and made my trip all the less stressful knowing my sweet kitty was being cared for at home. I would request Lena to watch my cat again in a heartbeat, she was so accommodating and and thoughtful.

Alex was wonderful! She was a great communicator throughout our trip, and I felt completely at ease knowing Pippa was in such good hands. She also went above and beyond by bringing our packages inside while we were away, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I really appreciated her care and would absolutely book with her again!

Kathryn was great! She took such good care of our 3 kitties while we were away. She followed all directions perfectly and made sure to send us daily pictures! I would not hesitate to recommend her. With her help, we were able to leave them in the comfort of their own home instead of the stressful, unfamiliar environment of a boarding faciiity. Thank you Kathryn!

Roxanna was wonderful with our cat. This was the first time we left our very playful kitty by himself. Roxanna arrived on time 2x daily and gave us a thorough report with pictures about how he was doing. She was specific about his daily behaviors such as eating, crying and playing. We felt like Frankie was in great hands! Thank you!

I can’t say enough about Jolanda’s care of our pets. She is truly an animal person and a caring individual. She is trusted like a member of our family. It’s such a relief to be able to leave our pets in her care and not have to worry about anything. She provides great communication and wonderful care. I don’t know what we would do without her!!! Thank you Jolanda

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cary. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
