“Lori is fantastic!! We’re new to the area and were nervous about finding a new Rover, but Lori put that all to rest. She took the time to do a meet and greet to learn about our dog’s quirks and, although our dog can be reactive with other dogs, she made us feel at ease. Lori was thorough and thoughtful with her check-ins and our dog can’t wait to see her new friend again!”

“We really appreciated Tricia’s detailed updates on our senior cat’s eating and health while we were away! She did an excellent job of letting us know how much he was eating and his mood and behavior. We love our old guy and the detailed communication helped us be more at ease while away.”
“Miki is the best! Without hesitation she was willing to work with my specific needs with my dog and was so dog smart and lovely :) I look forward to her taking care of Lucia in the future”

“Brendan was amazing. He was timely with his check-ins, administered my cats insulin without issue and even went above and beyond one day when my power was out and he couldnt get in. I will 100% be booking with him again for any future cat sitting needs I have. Thanks again!!”

“Vincent has been AMAZING to work with. Our dog loves when he comes to visit and it’s been so nice knowing he will have the company, exercise, and bathroom break when we can’t be there. He’s also an excellent communicator with us humans and incredibly understanding of our crazy schedules. A+!”

“Caroline took such amazing care of Millie and Mia and truly went above and beyond! She sent me detailed updates, notes, and lots of pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She’s absolutely awesome, and you can tell how much she genuinely loves cats! I’ll definitely be booking her again. 🐾❤️”

“Sarahbelle has been a wonderful choice. Punctual, reliable and sends fun pictures that show me that my pup is in great hands and being cared for well. Highly recommend 10/10”

“Great with our senior Pom who needed multiple touches a day and medication 2x a day. We worried leaving her for a week but Rosemary was very attentive and kept in communication throughout our trip. Would absolutely rebook/recommend!”

About: Lifelong animal lover prepared to care for your shy & senior pets! I've cared for animals most of my life going back to my mom's elementary school classroom. I have 13 years of adult pet ownership experience: 4 dogs & 3 cats of my own plus 1 rehoming within my family. I have personally fostered for multiple local agencies (Pawfect Match Rescue & Rehabilitation, APS of Durham, Cumberland County Animal Shelter, Hope Animal Rescue, Neshama Animal Rescue) including rescuing from a local agency that was mistreating the animals. I have experience with extreme anxiety disorders that need medical intervention, territorial pets, and rescues from unsanitary, physically abusive, and hoarding conditions. I volunteered as a foster parent to help combat "foster failure" (the pattern of foster families adopting quickly leaving a constant need for replacement volunteers). I fostered for 6 animals, and covered holidays and vacations for my fellow foster parents in these networks. I am also companion pet death doula. I have cared for 5 animals through natural and medically assisted deaths. Which includes treatment with CBD, and administering prescribed medication orally by pill, syringe, and under the tongue. Plus routine medications like ear drops. I am prepared to care for elderly pets and I can recognize common symptoms for conditions like dehydration, yeast infection, and GI issues. I've also cared for disabled animals including a kitten born without back paws. Finally, I have access to a grooming station that can accommodate large dogs, a private dog park, and am very close to multiple public parks. I have an SUV and a crash tested harness and tether. I am happy to provide transport to grooming, camps, veterinary appointments and more. I'm a full time student so my time is very flexible. My ideal schedule would be drop in care to provide walks and feedings while you're at work, on overnight stays or over long weekends. I establish trust with pets with careful introductions. I am very patient and wait until they indicate that they are open to being approached or touched, especially with cats. I don't mind taking the time to introduce myself to build a relationship that makes things like getting leashed move more quickly in the future.
“Had a great sitter experience with Emily over the holidays! She was responsive, followed all directions. And took great care of the cats. I always look for sitters that have cat experience and are reliable. Emily was wonderful and my shy cat loved her when he normally hides for others. The cats and my home were in great shape when I got home!”

About: When I was younger, I volunteered at the SPCA with my Mom, which led to walking my neighbor's dog after school. I would also walk and feed her dog a few times a day for multiple days while she was on work trips. I always enjoy playing with and loving my friend's dogs. I have been a dog lover my whole life but have never been able to have a dog of my own because of my family that I live with. This leaves me with lots of dog love for your furry friends. I am an online college student, so I make my own schedule. I am available most weekdays at various times and welcome the break in my school work to love on your furry friends. I love going on walks, and know many routes of varying lengths fully side-walked around this area. There is also a park nearby where your pet can run. I am committed to respecting your space and instructions while caring for your pet and will send you a report and picture after each of my visits. Additionally, I have reliable transportation and am committed to showing up when expected.

Alyssa did a great job with my dog and cat! She was friendly and punctual, sent consistent updates/photos, and was very communicative throughout. She made sure my pets were well taken care of while I was gone, and my place was nice and clean when I returned!

Caroline took such amazing care of Millie and Mia and truly went above and beyond! She sent me detailed updates, notes, and lots of pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She’s absolutely awesome, and you can tell how much she genuinely loves cats! I’ll definitely be booking her again. 🐾❤️

She was absolutely amazing! She did everything we asked, kept us updated with great communication, and sent lots of wonderful pictures throughout our trip. We always felt like our pets were in great hands. I would highly recommend her and would definitely book with her again!

Ariel is a great cat sitter. We have three cats and all of them loved her. She was on time each day, gave us heads up when visit times changed, managed the litter, food and water requirements very well. I would strongly recommend Ariel to anyone looking for a great cat sitter that your cats/pets would definitely love.

Hope took wonderful care of my bunnies during her drop-in visits, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She made sure they were fed daily, gave them lots of love and attention, kept their litter box clean, and sent photos along with timely updates so I always knew how they were doing. This was my first time using Rover to book someone to help care for my pets while I was away, and Hope made the entire process feel easy and reassuring. Her communication was excellent, and it was clear she was very kind and gentle with my fur babies. I would absolutely book with her again and 1000% recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

Hannah did a great job caring for my cat Penny! She was very responsive over messages and touched base with me to get special instructions and door access info. She was attentive to make sure the automatic feeder was working properly and filled it with the blend of food I asked! Thanks Hannah!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clegg. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
