About: I’ve lived with or taken care of dogs since I was young. More than 20 years! We adopted our family dog,Thompson, who was a chow mix, from Animal Control when he was 2-3 years old. He was with us for over 10 years. In the past 6 months, I’ve done house and pet sitting for 2 pit bulls at one home, a a feisty cockapoo at another, as well as stayed with an elderly yellow lab and her feline roommate. I’ve helped with the 2 latter owners several times. I’m semi-retired, and when I have a contract I work from home. Other than spending time and taking care of my cat, Owl, I can be available as my schedule allows. My cat, Owl, is an indoor only cat. I prefer to help out at the owner’s home. Owl is very shy and gets anxious around animals he doesn’t know.

I have about two years of pet sitting experience, including caring for a rescued Doberman with high anxiety and fear-based behaviors. I only care for one client's pets at a time, so your dog will receive my full attention and personalized care. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I make sure every pet in my care receives plenty of attention and love. I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., so weekends are when I'm most available for boarding and pet sitting. During the week, I'm a great fit for dogs who are house-trained, comfortable being home while I'm at work, and able to hold their bladder until I return. I carefully follow each pet's feeding schedule, medication routine, and care instructions to keep their day as consistent as possible. On weekends, I'm usually home most of the day, giving me plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, and even car rides for dogs who enjoy them. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely enjoy time outside to play, explore, or simply relax when the weather is nice. Inside, my home has a spacious living area that's perfect for playtime especially for dogs who get the zoomies! I always follow each owner's care instructions, including feeding schedules, medication, potty breaks, and any special routines. I take the time to get to know every dog's personality so they feel comfortable and secure in my home. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect both your home and your pet's routine. I make every effort to keep their schedule as consistent as possible so they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for while you're away.

Now at 25, with over 15 years of hands-on experience, I know what it means to love a pet like family, not just as a pet, but as a real member of your life. I'm a proud fur-parent to Boogie, a rescue pup I adopted at four months old. He's two now, and watching him grow has only deepened how much I care about the life every dog deserves. It's something I think about a lot: our pets are experiencing everything for the very first time, and that's worth honoring. I also volunteer as a temporary foster with Hope Animal Rescue, which means I'm comfortable meeting animals exactly where they are, whether that's a nervous newcomer or a playful goofball who wants all the attention. I also work part-time some weekday evenings and weekends, but my hours shift week to week, so I'd rather just talk through what works for you and go from there. If you need someone reliable who's willing to figure it out, I'm your person. When you invite me into your home, I treat it with the same care and respect I'd want for my own. I'm tidy, mindful of your space, and will always leave things exactly as I found them. Your pet's routine matters too. I'll follow whatever instructions you leave, from feeding schedules to favorite toys to the walks they're used to. For walks, I keep a close eye on leash behavior and surroundings, and I'll never push a pet past their comfort zone. I know some dogs need a slow warm-up and others are ready to go the second the leash comes out, and I'm happy to meet them wherever they are that day. You can also expect regular updates while I'm with your pet. I'm happy to send a photo, a quick message, whatever gives you peace of mind while you're away. I know handing over a key and trusting someone with your animal is a big deal, and I don't take that lightly.

Growing up, we always had at least three to four animals in our home, and I’ve had the opportunity to care for many different species, breeds, sizes, and personalities. I currently have two cats of my own, and they are truly my pride and joy. They have spent a lot of time around dogs through visits to my parents’ home, as well as when I have brought dogs home for day trips and foster stays from my time volunteering at the animal shelter. About: A few years ago, I lost both my very senior dogs, which I adopted as puppies from the shelter. As you can imagine, there's a dog-shaped space in my life. I'm not ready to adopt again, but that means your dog has a second home! Other than errands, I’m home all day with your dog. (If they like car rides, they’re welcome to join me for school dropoff and pickup!) My yard is fenced and shady, and there are plenty of sidewalks for adventures around the neighborhood. If your pet needs a crate, please provide it. I almost always have more than one dog at a time, so yours needs to be dog-friendly or at least dog-tolerant. I also have twin 11-year-olds—both great with dogs, but yours should not be kid-reactive.
