About: Worked with Dogs and Cats both young and old. Along with a small range of farm animals like chickens and goats. Additionally I have works with some more unique pets like chinchillas. I have also done some house sitting off and on for a few years. Currently working part time over the summer so have more than enough time at all times throughout the week. I am free pretty much 24/7 all day every week but tend to like one day notice of booking. I have a small back yard that’s fenced in and more than enough space both within and outside my house. I also can let them out, feed, play, whatever they need if ever or whenever you would like me to go to your house.

About: I’ve been unofficially pet sitting throughout my entire undergraduate experience, caring for pets for friends, classmates, and others who needed someone they could trust. As a dog mom myself, I know that taking care of someone’s pet means so much more than simply feeding them, taking them outside, and making sure they’re safe. I believe verbal stimulation and interaction are so important for building trust and creating a connection. Animals read energy incredibly well, so I always bring lots of positive energy, patience, and affection. I’m also a very active person, and I believe our pets love staying active too! Whether that means a long walk, playing outside, throwing a ball 100 times, or just keeping them entertained inside, I’m happy to match their energy. At the same time, I understand that every pet is different, so if your pet would rather curl up next to me and get attention, I’m more than happy to do that too. My goal is for your pet to feel like they’re spending time with a friend, not just a sitter. Pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine! I like to wake up extra early, usually around 6 a.m., to make sure my own dog gets a good walk before I head to class. He’s a husky, so our early morning walks mean cooler weather for him and, of course, plenty of time to roll around in the morning dew! I typically have a break in the middle of the day when I come home for lunch and another walk, and most of my evenings are spent studying and cuddling with my dog on the couch. My schedule gives me plenty of flexibility in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings to give other pets that same level of attention, exercise, and companionship. I know firsthand how important it is to have people you genuinely trust with your pet. I got Bucky (my chocolate lab/husky) as a puppy during my sophomore year of college, and I was incredibly lucky to have a “village” of people who helped me raise him. Whether I was in class, away at a track meet, or simply couldn’t get home, I never had to worry about whether Bucky had been fed, taken outside, or even gotten safely out of the building during a fire alarm. I’m still so thankful for the people who loved and looked out for him when I couldn’t be there, and I hope to provide that same sense of security and peace of mind for other pet owners. I want you to be able to leave knowing that someone is not just checking on your pet, but genuinely looking out for them. I treat someone else’s pet with the same level of care and attention I would want someone to give my own. I think animals are very good at reading our energy, so I focus on creating a calm, positive, and comfortable environment where they can warm up to me at their own pace. Safety is always my priority, so I’m careful with doors, leashes, feeding instructions, medications or special needs, and anything else their owner tells me is important.
