Pet care experience

Work from home & very experienced!

I have a lot of experience studying and working with dogs in my home, and since I work from home I can spend almost all day with them. Im all about giving pets what they need based on how they communicate. Whether it’s a lot of love, or some space, I’m receptive to them! I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for 5 years. I have fostered dogs and worked out behavioral issues and am currently studying dog training as well. I would love to meet your pets! I’ll take great care of your family member as well as be in fast receptive communication with you as necessary, sending photos and/or videos every day. Whatever your pet needs I’m here! I work from home and am super flexible to what the dogs need, I typically hang with them in my home office, give fenced yard breaks every few hours, and we do couch time in the evening. I have a fenced yard and dog toys if needed. If certain dogs aren’t getting along well I have different rooms and spaces to rotate the dogs so everyone is calm and happy. I also offer drop in, walks, and house sitting service if my availability allows and for those within a 10minute radius.

Emily was great watching both my older dog and 2 cats. She gave regular updates and photos about how they were all doing, and made sure my dog was comfortable and fed. Thank you so much Emily!

Emily took excellent care of our dog, Archer, while he was recovering from an injury. He stayed overnight, and she managed his medicine and food, ensured he didn't overdo while playing, oversaw his interactions with other dogs and gave us frequent video and picture updates. He was a happy and tired when we picked him up.

House Sitting • Nov 14, 2025

Emily stepped in when our previous sitter cancelled only 48 hours before we were leaving town. We have a 10 year old Labrador that still has puppy energy and an older, aging Lab-Pittie mix who needs a lot of attention. Emily managed both dogs’ needs, and she was communicative in our time away. We returned to two happy dogs and a well-cared for home. We’d gladly have Emily pet-sit/house-sit again.

Emily is amazing! Takes such good care of our pups. I worry about everything but feel perfectly at ease leaving them with Emily because she’s always so good to them. They come back happy and relaxed.

Emily is fantastic! She took care of my dog for a couple of nights-it was his first time away from us and she took such good care of him! Definitely recommend Emily and will be using her in the future!

Schedule

I work from home so I do some hours in my office then we go play outside or for a walk, repeat. My dog routine is: breakfast and potty in the morning, a few potty breaks and a walk during the day, dinner around 6p and the final potty for the evening at 9p. This is very flexible if your dog has different schedule needs.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 2 dogs, 2 cats
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Safety, trust & environment

The dogs are allowed on furniture and can use their crate if it’s familiar for them and less overwhelming than being in a new larger space. I have a few rooms to keep dogs separated if needed, but they usually hang together and hang out with me during the day since I work from home. They can and do sleep with me if they are OK with my cats. Otherwise they have lots of places to choose from to sleep, blankets, couch, a dog mattress, etc. they go in my fenced yard multiple times a day and if there are multiple playful dogs here they like to play together out there.

Pets

A typical day

Yard time, play, lounge time while I work, cuddles, whatever they want (that’s parent approved). I sometimes like to take them on leash walks if they also like that.

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Spayed and neutered dogs only
No females in heat
Emily can host up to 10 pets per night
Any behavioral concerns/things I should avoid doing that could be a trigger. Is the dog friendly with other dogs, do they have separation anxiety/are they OK being left alone in a room, are they crate trained. Have they been around cats. Anything else the parent wants me to know.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
