I usually spend most the day when I am at home entertaining my pets or letting them have free run of the backyard with regular check ins. I make sure that their food is good for their stomach, their daily exercise if playing outside with a normal dose of petting and grooming. I recently got off of medical leave so I have started short nightly walks and we work out together to stay happy and healthy. I am a big night owl so I love watching my dogs snore about.

A safe home is one your pet recognizes as the pack den. I care for all pets with repetitive training, health care checks, grooming, and dental care as long as they will let me. I love to make a home pet safe by avoiding choking hazards and loose cables. (Mainly because my guinea pig is a little menace). Medications are taken with timers and usually snuck into foods. I like keeping basic training habits are maintained so that the pets do not unlearn anything their humans have taught them.

If they have any aggression towards people, objects, or other animals. Are anxious, noise reactive, prone to running off, or front door trained. Any allergies, how they take their food, and basically any information to keep the pets comfortable and close to their regular routine while I am their caretaker. Though I must say I sleep with a closed and locked door for fire and safety regulations, so sadly night wandering dogs are not my forte.
A typical day
I like to keep my dogs content by playing fetch, tug of war in the house, will generally encourage obstacle courses if they have them, and go on walks. I can no longer do short jogs due to an old injury but I love doggy play dates or a good romp in the park or fenced in yard. However I also love a good lounging pet and don’t mind a day in doors. If allowed I will do treat games or training exercises. I love the holidays with permissions and pre-screening for compatibility with my dog I will bring the dogs to my house on Christmas to spend the day in my family home.

Hi All, My name is Alessandria but I prefer to be called Alekx and no the K is not a typo. My hair color is subject to change but it's just dyed hair braided into my natural hair. I have been caring for animals professionally since 2006, until 2013 where I took a leap in a different field of work. I use to move all over the country but I am home and hoping to start pet sitting as my main job. I have a guinea pig by the named Tikka Teacake and she is a little siren but she is my 3rd guinea pig. I am a non-smoker and prefer days curled up with fluffy creatures and a good book. In regards to my experience I have worked at pets resorts such as Sunny Acres where I had a few loyal dogs that I dearly miss. I have owned large dog breeds my whole life and grew up with pure breed Rottweilers, German Shepherd mixes, and my current lovely mutt. I have been doing home pet sitting for over a decade.

This is our second time using Alekx she does a great job with our dog. Always sends lots of pictures, very communicative. She even fixed our back door that we couldn’t get to close. She also tidied up around the house and left it cleaner than it started. Awesome sitter!!!
Alessandria was great! A very good communicator as well!
Alekx has stayed with our puppy twice now and was amazing! Very patient with puppy energy. We also came home to a pup who had been taught a few new skills and Alekx even gave our pup many hand me down toys from her own dog, some of which are our pups new favorites! Our dog hasn’t been alone yet, and Alekx was great about staying with her and even took her out to a park.
Did a great job watching our dog and taking care of our home. Very responsive and we appreciated all the photos she sent.
