Animal Lover Willing to Travel
Hi All, My name is Alessandria but I prefer to be called Alekx and no the K is not a typo. My hair color is subject to change but it's just dyed hair braided into my natural hair. I have been caring for animals professionally since 2006, until 2013 where I took a leap in a different field of work. I use to move all over the country but I am home and hoping to start pet sitting as my main job. I have a guinea pig by the named Tikka Teacake and she is a little siren but she is my 3rd guinea pig. I am a non-smoker and prefer days curled up with fluffy creatures and a good book. In regards to my experience I have worked at pets resorts such as Sunny Acres where I had a few loyal dogs that I dearly miss. I have owned large dog breeds my whole life and grew up with pure breed Rottweilers, German Shepherd mixes, and my current lovely mutt. I have been doing home pet sitting for over a decade.

A safe home is one your pet recognizes as the pack den. I care for all pets with repetitive training, health care checks, grooming, and dental care as long as they will let me. I love to make a home pet safe by avoiding choking hazards and loose cables. (Mainly because my guinea pig is a little menace). Medications are taken with timers and usually snuck into foods. I like keeping basic training habits are maintained so that the pets do not unlearn anything their humans have taught them.

This is our second time using Alekx she does a great job with our dog. Always sends lots of pictures, very communicative. She even fixed our back door that we couldn’t get to close. She also tidied up around the house and left it cleaner than it started. Awesome sitter!!!
Alessandria was great! A very good communicator as well!
Alekx has stayed with our puppy twice now and was amazing! Very patient with puppy energy. We also came home to a pup who had been taught a few new skills and Alekx even gave our pup many hand me down toys from her own dog, some of which are our pups new favorites! Our dog hasn’t been alone yet, and Alekx was great about staying with her and even took her out to a park.
Did a great job watching our dog and taking care of our home. Very responsive and we appreciated all the photos she sent.
We had a disappointing experience with this sitter and unfortunately cannot recommend her. During the stay, a neighbor came by to inform us that our dog had been outside running around unsupervised, which was very concerning given our yard is not gated. We had also clearly instructed that our pets should be brought in at bedtime, but that was not followed—our dog was repeatedly left separated and ended up scratching and damaging a door. Communication was also lacking. We had to follow up multiple times to receive updates, and even then, photos were minimal. Regular, proactive communication is something we value highly when leaving our pets in someone else’s care. After the stay, when we raised these concerns, the response was unexpectedly hostile. The sitter shared that she does not enjoy pet sitting, was “counting down” until the stay was over, and needed a vacation. This was disappointing to hear and felt unprofessional. There were additional smaller concerns throughout the weekend, but the lack of supervision and overall communication were the most serious issues. We hope this feedback is helpful for others making decisions about pet care.

Programa
I usually spend most the day when I am at home entertaining my pets or letting them have free run of the backyard with regular check ins. I make sure that their food is good for their stomach, their daily exercise if playing outside with a normal dose of petting and grooming. I recently got off of medical leave so I have started short nightly walks and we work out together to stay happy and healthy. I am a big night owl so I love watching my dogs snore about.
