“Jerrica was amazing with my pup! She took the time to ask questions and learn about his routine to ensure he and I were both comfortable. She was always right on time for visits and showed so much care and patience with him. My dog was given lots of cuddles and love and I’m so happy I found such a trust worthy and caring sitter for him. We will absolutely be using Jerrica’s services again and again.”

“Wednesday was great with my three cats, who can be a bit of a handful. They sent lots of adorable pictures to keep me going without my animals. One of my cats requires medication and was being challenging about taking it— while Wednesday wasn’t always able to give him his meds, they kept me up to date on the situation and tried the different solutions I offered. Overall, very happy with the service I received!”
“Alyson was great! Gave daily updates including photos and provided a nice balance of love/care and respect of boundaries for our cats. Would definitely book again!”

About: I've been a cat owner for 11 years and have had my own (non-family) dog for the past 4 years. I love to get to know an animal's personality and in my time as a pet owner I've become quite proficient at medication management - from successfully hiding pills in food and dosing medications to giving a cat an inhaler. I work from home and therefore can be quite flexible to make sure your pet gets the attention and care it needs while you're away! Every time I check in on your pet, I'll make sure that they get a walk and/or some playtime, will check on their food and water, and make sure they're as content as possible before I leave!
“Miki is the best! Without hesitation she was willing to work with my specific needs with my dog and was so dog smart and lovely :) I look forward to her taking care of Lucia in the future”

“Silas was amazing with my cat! I came home to happy kitty who I could tell was well taken care of. He sent detailed updates with lots of pictures which I really appreciated! Would definitely book again!”

“Michelle is excellent - the most patient and reliable sitter. One of our pups is a bit particular about people coming into the house, but Michelle has done great to ensure that he feels comfortable and can trust her. We are so grateful!”

“Rachael made our lives so much easier when she watched our pets. She went above and beyond to ensure they were cared for and nurtured while we were away. She provided excellent feedback and communication throughout her time with them. We are very pleased with her services.”

About: I have grown up with pets all my life which allows me to have lots of experience with multiple kinds of animals. I raised my current dog from a puppy and have always made sure him and my other dog are happy and healthy. I have a decent amount of free time as I am a contracted massage therapist which allows me to be able to fit pet care into my schedule! I have a fenced yard and plenty of space for my dogs to run and play. They each have their own beds and plenty of toys to be entertained by.
“Joy went above and beyond, continuing to check on my cat in the midst of a tropical storm. She also made sure other aspects of the house were secure, as requested, and was respectful of covid cautions.”

“David is amazing! He is great with our pup Miso and has been incredibly reliable and consistent. We were apprehensive at first about finding someone on Rover, but it was a great decision to book with David. Miso is a big fan and we are too!”
“Kate is amazing! This was my second booking with her. She went above and beyond checking in on my two cats while I was on vacation. In addition to the feeding and watering, she played with them and gave them lots of attention, even cleaning up the messes they made. I highly recommend her!”

About: I have been caring for a variety of pets for as long as I can remember. Growing up, we always had at least three to four animals in our home, and I’ve had the opportunity to care for many different species, breeds, sizes, and personalities. I currently have two cats of my own, and they are truly my pride and joy. I have also spent the past few years volunteering at an animal shelter in Cincinnati, where I gained experience working with dogs of all backgrounds, personalities, and behavior styles, as well as assisting in the medical clinic. This experience has helped me better understand animal behavior, patience, and the importance of providing compassionate care for every pet’s individual needs. I love getting to know each animal’s personality and will take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and boundaries. Whether your pet enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, enrichment, or simply having a calm and caring presence nearby, I’m happy to provide care in the way that makes them happiest while giving you peace of mind that they are in great hands. I currently work in a research role that gives me the flexibility to come and go as needed, allowing me to provide reliable and attentive care throughout the day. I’m able to accommodate different routines and schedules to make sure your pet gets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors — running, biking, hiking, and going on walks — and would love to have your pet(s) join me for some adventures if that’s something they enjoy! At the same time, I’m just as happy spending a quiet afternoon on the couch with pets who prefer a slower pace. Whether your pet is active and loves exploring or is happiest relaxing at home, I’m happy to meet them where they are and provide care that fits their personality and routine. I have a fenced-in backyard available for quick potty breaks and a safe outdoor space when pets are staying with me. I also live close to walking trails and dog parks, giving dogs the opportunity for walks, enrichment, and exercise if that fits their routine and comfort level. I have two cats of my own who are an important part of my family. They have spent a lot of time around dogs through visits to my parents’ home, as well as when I have brought dogs home for day trips and foster stays from my time volunteering at the animal shelter. I understand that every pet has different comfort levels, so I always prioritize slow introductions, supervision, and making sure all animals feel safe and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat your space with the same respect I would want for my own. I am neat, tidy, and attentive, and I will leave your home exactly as I found it while making sure your pet receives the care, attention, and routine they are used to.
“Bruna did extremely well with my dog and was able to accept the booking even on such short notice! Bruna asked all the important questions before the booking which made me very comfortable with having her watch my dog! She did a great job and I would definitely recommend her!”

“Will definitely be my go-to sitter! My cats love her (and my corgi has also decided she can be a new best friend), and she took the time to really lovingly care for the kitties. Awesome person, and went above and beyond! (Even vacuumed up some extra kibble my kitties left behind) 100/10, will be hiring again.”

“Janet did an awesome job with both of our cats, especially our shy one. Usually the shy one won’t even come out for familiar family and friends but Janet got some great pictures of her enjoying herself and getting pets! Her reports were really thorough and assured me that both the girls were being well taken care of, I definitely would recommend her to anyone.”

Jorge was great! We scheduled him for two drop-in visits today while we took a day trip. He was on time, very communicative, he even brought his own healthy treats and our dog loved him! He even brought in our Amazon package without asking! Thank you for everything! We will definitely re-book with you!

Ryann was great with our dogs while we were away for two weeks. He was reliable, communicative, and gave us detailed updates with great pictures throughout our trip. One of our dogs can be aggressive with new people, but Ryann handled it patiently and confidently until our dog became comfortable with him. We came home to happy, well-cared-for dogs and would definitely book with him again!

Zichen was awesome!! Her communication was fast and clear, she took great photos and left detailed notes each visit! She was consistent and timely :) I was able to breathe easy knowing she was checking in on my dog! She even stepped in for an extra visit after my flight was cancelled, thank you Zichen!

Brooke has been such a gift in helping me care for my young puppy. She’s incredibly sweet, patient, and communicative, and it’s obvious how knowledgeable she is about dogs and training. I always feel at ease knowing my puppy is with someone who genuinely cares and understands her needs. I’m so grateful for all of her help and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog sitter. 🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
