“This was my second time leaving my puppy with Kimberlee for boarding, and it was amazing yet again!! She kept up her daily training and sent lots of updates and pictures. Pesto had the best time again!”

“Nashari took wonderful care of my sweet 16 year old toy poodle, Bella. Bella came back home full of energy and joy, which tells me she had a blast. Also, Bella needed relatively new medication multiple times a day, which had me nervous to leave her behind, but Nashari took care of her so well, you can tell Bella is feeling well and had everything she needed. Thank you, Nashari!!”

“Grant was wonderful with our dog Lucia, providing several daily activities, walks, and mental stimulation. He was great with communication, very accommodating, and friendly. Grant is very active and attentive and loves to take dogs out on adventures. Lucia was so content when we picked her up. I know she absolutely loved spending time with Grant. I would highly recommend him to any dog owner!”

“Cathy was awesome, and our dog had a blast staying with her. She made sure our dog felt comfortable, ate well, and played every day. I would definitely choose her again.”

“We left our dog who has separating anxiety and he was well taken care of for basically 4 days. Zachary gave us a daily update and has a yard for the dog to play in. He also offered a meet and greet before we sent my dog over. We definitely will use Zachary again next time when we need the service.”

“So thankful for Haley! My dog is a timid and anxious guy, has a few quirks about him and I can imagine might not be the easiest boarding dog, but I felt very comfortable having him stay with Haley. She sent picture updates and reassured me that he was doing well. Great privacy fenced backyard for playing. Would 100% book again 😀”

“Katrin was AMAZING! My husband and I are so anxious leaving our dogs and katrin put our minds at ease immediately. From the moment we arrived, the dogs were clearly comfortable and in great hands. She shared regular updates and pictures, administered our senior dog’s medication, and went the extra mile in every possible way to make sure our pups felt right at home. We’re so grateful for her animal loving heart!”

“Tracy is always wonderful with our Winston! She is reliable, caring, and clearly has a natural connection with animals. Our fur baby was happy and well cared for, and we appreciated her regular updates and attention to detail. Highly recommend Tracy to anyone looking for a trustworthy and kind pet sitter!”

“Sydney is AMAZING! Super accommodating, kind, and I genuinely felt like my babies were in good hands. Communication was amazing and she was very patient with me! Highly recommend!”

About: I've been a dog lover my whole life. I grew up with dogs and currently share my home with one of my own. Over the years I've cared for friends' and family's dogs while they've traveled, and I've also volunteered as a foster parent for dogs waiting to find their forever homes. That experience taught me how to help dogs feel safe and comfortable in a new environment, whether they're anxious, playful, or somewhere in between. I treat every dog like part of the family, with patience, exercise, and lots of love. I may be new to Rover, but I'm not new to dogs! I work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and can be around throughout the day for feeding, walks, and playtime. I'm available for drop-ins, walks, and boarding on weekdays and weekends, including evenings if needed. Your dog will be part of the household while in my care. I have one friendly dog of my own who's well socialized and enjoys company, and my two daughters love dogs and are experienced around them, so your pup will get plenty of attention and affection. I keep a close eye on pets at all times and can crate your dog if that's part of their routine.
“Tracy took a booking on short notice (greatly appreciated), was extremely accommodating , very communicative; a dream to work with. She did beautifully in calming my nervous nellie dog and I think she and Din will be great friends. Highly recommend. We are requesting another booking today.”

“Joy (LeNita) took great care of my small, elderly dog. She was careful to ask lots of questions beforehand, and I felt confident leaving my little guy with her knowing she had an understanding of the little things that help with his care. He returned to me happy and not stressed at all. I will hire her again.”

Zach is a great guy and I left Finn in capable hands. His dog Logan was very sweet to Finn and overall I think they did well together. I would and hope I can call upon Zach in the future to take care of Finn. Finn seemed to enjoy his time with Zach and Logan and Zach sent photos and updates during my week away. 5 Stars for sure !!

If you want your cat to be cared for and cuddled while you are away, you should sign up with Kim. She really understood my pet's personality and made him feel at home in her space. If your cat needs socialization while you are away, this is a great pet sitter.
I adore Karissa, and I know my cats do, too. From the photos she sends, I can see that they are very comfortable and content. I appreciate that she offers the pick up/drop off service, her communication is outstanding, and she is always punctual. And, she returned them with a little gift of toys! Karissa is always my first choice when I need someone to board my cats. Many thanks!

Allison had a tough job, as one of my dogs is very difficult. She made friends with him right away and took good care of him. I didn't worry for a minuet while I was away. She also gave me great advice for a condition that my pup has. I messed up on some info big time and she was very gracious about it.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
