About: I have a natural gift for understanding animals and earning the trust of even the most fearful, sensitive, or withdrawn pets. Through patience, intuition, and genuine compassion, I help them feel safe enough to open up, relax, and connect. From nurturing a fragile orphaned squirrel back to health to helping fearful birds and traumatized dogs regain their trust in people, I’ve seen how deeply animals respond to a calm, understanding presence. My greatest strength is becoming the trusted companion who understands each pet’s heart, even when they struggle to trust anyone else. My schedule is very flexible, with Tuesdays being my main workday. As a semi-retired artist/painter/stylist, I have plenty of time to give your pet the attention, companionship, and care they deserve. I live in a quiet, peaceful townhouse community with no car traffic and no children or pets of my own. It’s a calm, safe environment where your pet can relax, feel at home, and receive plenty of one on one attention.
About: I have loved dogs since before my parents finally fulfilled my Christmas wish for a puppy when I was five. Since then, dogs have been a constant in my life and a crucial source of joy and fulfillment. Over the last decade I embraced the adult side of dog love by regularly dog sitting for friends and family and eventually adopting a dog of my own. Dogs have always been one of the best parts of my life and I look forward to meeting yours! I don't have a formal dog training certification, but I think my dog Rafiki would gladly give me one. I adopted Rafiki 7 years ago and he is wonderful. His special talents include spinning his tail like a helicopter and being the first dog that 'non-dog-lovers' actually enjoy. He was not always such a dream though. When he was a puppy he had all sorts of terrible habits that I won't get into (RIP tv remotes, shoes, untoppled drinks). I decided that I needed some help with this adorable rambunctious puppy and signed him up for day camp training with a trainer in Durham. Every day when I picked him up, the trainer would spend 30 minutes to an hour teaching me how to work with Rafiki. He taught me a million things and really opened my eyes on how interact with dogs, how to read their body language, and how to best communicate with them. Though I’m no expert, I’d be happy to reinforce any training or problem-solving you’re working on with your pup. I am also happy to just spend some quality time together making sure their time away from you is fun, safe and enriching. I would love the chance to take your pup on some walks and adventures while giving you the peace of mind of knowing they are in good hands! I have a flexible schedule that allows plenty of time for pet care. I like to stay active and enjoy hikes and walks with our furry friends. My dog is able to come in and out as he pleases. We have a fenced in yard (front and back) with plenty of room to play.

I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have one friendly dog of my own. Because I have a dog allergy, I’m currently only able to accommodate hypoallergenic breeds. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pup and provide them with a fun, stress-free home away from home! As a registered nurse, I work three 12-hour shifts each week, but my schedule varies, so my availability changes from week to week. On my days off, I’m home full-time and able to provide plenty of supervision, playtime, walks, and one-on-one attention. I keep my Rover calendar updated regularly so you can always see my current availability for boarding and daycare. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. My home has a fully fenced backyard where your dog can safely play. I also have one very friendly, well-socialized dog who loves meeting new friends. I have 1 dog and 1 cat of my own, both with very different backgrounds and needs. 8 years ago I volunteered at a shelter, I understand the needs of a rescue, I can be flexible and extremely patient! Also I was a certified dog trainer at PetSmart where I was presented with many unqiue dogs and experiences that taught me that all dogs are different as well as their needs. I started the business 8 years ago and now continue to, dog sitting, walking, training, bathing, vet visits, and of course play time and cuddles! I do work from home so I can be very flexible for drop in visits, my ideal middle of the day visit would be between 1-3pm. However, in the morning I am free till 9am to be dog/cat loving! Also After 5pm I am free to do the same! Weekends I am entirely free. I do not care for animals in my own home due to size of space at this time. I hope in the future this may be possible

Pretty sure my dog was disappointed when I showed up to bring her home from Amy's. My dog was treated like one of the family. Lots of time in the lovely fenced yard and lots of cuddles by Amy and her kids. I appreciated daily pictures and updates. Would definitely book again.
Felt great with Lauren watching my dog. He’s almost 16 years old and I am so particular with him that I rarely feel any level of actual comfort with someone else watching him. I felt at ease with Lauren and that meant a ton. She sent a lot of pics and videos and I’d take him back anytime.

I truly feel so comfortable leaving my Beagle with Robin as I know that she does a terrific job listening to Zoe's boundaries and never pushes her.
