Pet care experience

Hey furry guy, let’s be friends

I previously worked at a veterinary clinic as a Medical Receptionist and later as an Administrative Assistant, so it’s safe to say I truly love our furry friends! I’m currently a nursing student in Durham and have always enjoyed being around animals and caring for them. I also have 3 years of experience being a sitter on Rover :) I don’t currently have any pets of my own, so I genuinely enjoy spending time with and caring for other people’s pets. I’ll treat your pet with the same care, attention, and patience I would expect for my own, and I’m confident we’ll have a great time together!

Ann was fantastic taking care of our two dogs for the week, we got regular photos and updates and very clear communication the whole time. I felt assured they were being taken good care of. I’d definitely recommend Ann and leave them with her again.

The best ever! Ann watched my two senior, special needs pugs over the weekend and did the best job. My guys were happy and healthy when I picked them up. I’ll absolutely use Ann again in the future. 10/10!

Ann is an absolute sweet heart! First impressions are everything. I had initially reached out just checking around for rates with other sitters. Not only was Ann the quickest, but she was the most friendliest. We quickly arranged a meet & greet, and it went so well we booked her right on the spot! Throughout our trip, she messages us regularly, sending updates with photos, and always prompt in responding. I know when I'm out of town, I always miss my fur babies. It's nice when I don't always have to be the one to reach out & ask, "How's he doing?". She usually beat me to, which is highly appreciated. Our cat loved her :) From the photos, he made himself right at home. It's reassuring to know that he was loved & cared for, and had a blast while we were away. We have a few trips planned this year, so will definitely be rebooking (already in the process one of another).

Ann went above and BEYOND. She was communicative, considerate, and treated my pup like her own. He was happy and showed no signs of stress or boredom when I picked him up which is all you can hope for when leaving your pet for a few days! My flight was delayed causing me to pick him up an hour and a half later than our originally scheduled time and Ann was so understanding f and accommodating to the situation. Would absolutely rebook!

Safety, trust & environment

I live in downtown Durham in a very pet-friendly neighborhood with plenty of great walking areas. For safety, I only do leash walks, and I always follow each client’s rules and preferences carefully to ensure 100% safety and comfort for your pet.

A typical day

I’d love to take them for walks. Make sure they’re given treats and all of the positive reinforcements. I’m also a big park girl and would love to take your pet to the park (if you’d like me to ) and let them have a great time with other furries. We could go on trails, cute neighborhood walks and just have a great time together.

It’s important for me to understand each pet and their special needs- if they’re still getting used to some things, the things I need to avoid with your pet, their dietary restrictions and especially the things the love to do or have. P.S- most of the pictures on my feed are from when I was in California. I moved to Durham recently for school and currently live in a studio apartment.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
