Your Dog Is My Co-Pilot
I moved to the South 12 years ago after 16 years in my beloved NYC. First I fell in love with Atlanta and for the last two years I've been in Durham, NC, where I just earned my MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts. Me and my two pit bull rescues Rolfie and Dita have loved walking in the woods, although we just had to say goodbye to Rolfie in 2026 after a full and joyful doggie life. I grew up with miniature dachsunds, but I really got to know dogs and their cues when I rescued a pit bull from the shelter where I was a volunteer dog walker six years ago. I've cared for older, special-needs dogs and feisty high-energy dogs as well as my own. I respect owners' *and* doggies' boundaries, and I know basic training techniques and operant conditioning training. I can't wait to get to know you and your fur kids.

I highly highly recommend Lauren and her sweet dog, Dita 💕💕 I feel so lucky to have found Lauren!! She took such awesome care of our dog, Lula. Lauren sent us lots of updates, photos, and videos, and I could tell Lula was genuinely feeling at home by like day two, which is huge for our sweet but hyper girl. Lauren has the perfect set up for running around and wrestling, which Lula really appreciated. Lauren really understands dogs and Lula really trusts her :) Lula was sad to leave (something I’ve never really seen before). Thanks so much, Lauren and Dita!!!
Lauren was absolutely wonderful! We had never before left Watson for this long and were anxious about it. But Lauren sent pictures and comments frequently and it was clear he was soon having a great time with her and Dito! We can't thank Lauren enough for her great care and thoughtfulness!
Shadow had so much fun with Dita! Lauren was super responsive and sent lots of pictures and videos! Would definitely bring Shadow over again.
Lauren was absolutely fantastic with Lilly! She sent so many awesome pictures throughout my trip so I knew Lilly was having a blast. Having Lauren’s sweet pup Rolfie to play with during her stay was an added bonus!
Lauren has been such a lifesaver for our dog, George - and Rolfie is one of his best friends. With last minute work travel, I never have to wonder if George is okay or having fun when he’s staying over, and the constant pictures of him are amazing. Thank you Lauren!
Lauren is absolutely wonderful! Our corgi Watson has stayed with Lauren and Rolfie twice, and I know he has been well taken care of, loved, and had a great time. When we brought him back, he drug us to the door to see his friends! Great photos and updates throughout his stay. I could not ask for a better sitter! Being new to ATL without family or friends in the area, Lauren has really been a life saver and I know Watson is in great hands when he stays.

Schedule
I am working from home right now and am prepared to walk your dog three times a day with a longer walk (up to an hour) in the cooler hours at the end of the day. I feed my dog twice day plus treats with training, but I am happy to feed yours according to your preferred schedule

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard and shaded porch for surveying the street. Inside I have loads of dog beds. My dogs are welcome on furniture, but I will respect your rules in that regard.
Pets
A typical day
I love playing with dogs and doing training exercises. I also love supervising play among dogs and know how to read their interactions. I typically take my dog on a long walk in the evening at one of the shaded Duke Forest or Eno River trails.
