“Bailey was sooooo great. My dog Cody loved her and her family. She was very sweet and helpful as this was my first time using Rover. Thank you so so much Bailey for taking great care of my boy Cody.. Will definitely be using again”

“Jill was a phenomenal rover for us on a recent trip. She (and her whole family, honestly) took amazing care to make sure our Shepherd Mix, Foxy, was comfortable and loved. They did a wonderful job and sent great updates during the stay. They went out of their way to ensure we were a good fit, and we will absolutely book with them again!”

“Brandi and John did a wonderful job and kept me updated throughout the whole stay. My pup had a great time and I was also able to relax knowing she was in great hands. Thank you!”

“Lucy loved her stay with Amanda and Kevin! Because they have dogs of their own I felt comfortable leaving Lucy to be cared for and knew she’d be entertained (versus having someone come in our home and take her out every few hours). We had a great experience and Lucy would love to come back soon ??”

“Great communication, provided lots of updates and pictures, Bella their dog was also very friendly. My dog looked very comfortable with them. I had to make some modifications and they were vary fair and accommodating to me.”

“Gretchen is Wonderful! I was not sure what I was going to do because the usual sitter was not available. From the meet and greet and forward, Gretchen made me comfortable as I watched her with her dogs and mine. My pup is tiny so I am always cautious when he is with larger dogs which hers were under 40 lbs but my pup is only 9 lbs and he is a senior dog. Gretchen communicated well and provided excellent service! Her family was good with my pup. I can’t express how grateful I am to have found Gretchen! She is Outstanding!”

“Laura was absolutely amazing with our pup! 🐾 She sent us daily pictures and videos and always replied to our messages quickly, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Most importantly, she truly loved on our fur baby as if he were her own. We felt completely comfortable knowing Laura was caring for him and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving pet sitter.”

“Outstanding care for our senior dog Roxie! Martine & Ronald went above & beyond with our fragile girl. We were so lucky to find them. They treated our dog like their own & showered her with attention & affection. Highly recommend for all pet needs! Thank you so much!”

“We love having Julie and RG as our sitters and our pup absolutely loves going to stay with them. She always comes back well exercised, happy, and sometimes even better trained! :) They are flexible and communicative and I trust them to make the right call when caring for our EarlGirl!”

“We had a great experience boarding our dogs with Dominique. She was very attentive to their needs. It is a relief to know your leaving your dogs in good hands!”
“Jerry was great with my fur baby! He sent pics and reassuring messages almost every day and always responded immediately when I checked in. He also accommodated us sort of last minute which I was very grateful for. We will definitely be using his services again! Highly recommend!”

“Our first time boarding our two Shih Tzus with Hilary and she did an exceptional job taking care of them and working with us for scheduling. Hilary has the experience necessary to care for your pet the way they need. I highly recommend her for your boarding needs.”
“We left our 70 lb pit mix with Denise and couldn't have been happier! She sent updates and pictures and treated him like her own. When we picked him up, I could tell he was loved on all week and happy as could be. Her yard is amazing for dogs, and she made us feel very good about going 9 hours away from our pup. We will definitely use her again!”

“She was so great with our three pups. She made sure they got plenty of love and exercise. My middle pup even looked sad to be coming home. Being out of the country and away from them seemed so stressful but Mitzi and her family kept me from worrying about them so I could enjoy my vacation. Will definitely book again for any future needs”

“Cristhian and Katty took such good care of my Tino, he even missed them when he got home. He behaved so well for them because they were so loving with him. They took him out with them and really listened and cared about what Tino does and doesn’t like. They spoiled my baby rotten in the week he was with them! Their ShihTzu Pacho is very mild mannered and tolerant and is super sweet ! I will absolutely be rebooking with them any time I need a sitter.”

“Monica made our first experience with Rover very easy! We knew Archie was in the best of hands and felt very comfortable leaving him for the first time. Will definitely reach out again!”

“We left Athena in Hanna's care for over a week and we were absolutely delighted! Not only did she take fantastic care of our fur baby, but she also sent us daily pictures/videos (which really made me feel better), did obedience training (which we weren't expecting but are grateful for), and really made Athena feel loved and special. Thank you very much Hanna, you are awesome!!”

“Amanda and Joseph couldn’t be more welcoming. They took great care of my dog and she got all the cuddles she could ask for. Amanda was so amazing with communication and being flexible with my schedule. Highly recommend!”
“Words can not express how grateful I am for Marissa & Mosieo for taking care of our sweet Chyna!! They sent updates daily and communicated with us about Chyna activities each day along with pictures. Chyna love their home and they care they provided. This is our second time using their services and gets better each time. Really sweet family. We needed to extend out time being out flight was delayed and it was no problem! Very understanding! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!”

“Abby enjoyed her stay at Carol’s home! It was a great space for her to enjoy the quiet neighborhood and surrounding nature. Carol communicated regularly with updates and photos. Abby is staying with her again this summer. Thank you Carol!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wake Forest
Baxter enjoyed his time with Kerri and her family. It was his first time away from home and she kept me updated with pictures and videos. Nice big fenced in back yard for playtime and that was important as Baxter is an Aussie who just celebrated his first birthday on pick up day.

Kimberly and Dustin were so welcoming and sweet with our dog sophie. We did have an unexpected emergency come up but they were super flexible and accommodating with the schedule that we were able to extend our boarding visit !We were able to get daily photos from them and many updates during the stay. We would highly recommend them and would use them again for any upcoming trips !

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
