“I am so over the top with Martine and Ronald. My dog is a senior dog. He is still capable of doing everything on his own but he is an older dog, so I have a hard time leaving him with anyone. I was referred to Martine and Ronald and I could not have been more pleased. I did not the drop my dog off as I had to leave town, but my boyfriend did and he immediately called me and said "I do not know how you found these people but Tito will be in great hands. Martine contact me two or three times a day. I brag on how easy my dog is because he is a lover. It was comforting to know that Martine immediately realized this about him. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart.”

“I cannot thank Cristhian and Katty enough for the incredible care they gave to Fifi while I was away for 22 days. From the moment I dropped her off, I knew she was in the best hands. Cristhian treated Fifi as if she were his own pet, giving her all the love, attention, and comfort she needed. They took care of everything, her medication, her food, her walks, with so much dedication and kindness. It truly felt like Fifi had another home. She had such a great time with Cristhian, Katty, and sweet Pacho. I could see how happy and relaxed she was, and that gave me so much peace of mind during my time away. I’m beyond grateful for the care they provided. If you want someone who will love your pet like family, look no further. Thank you, Cristhian and Katty, for being Fifi’s second family.”

“Gretchen took great care of Zari while I was out of the country. This was my first time leaving her for more than three nights and I was a little worried, but Gretchen’s meet and greet plan and drop off made it really easy. I would have appreciated a few more updates but I did appreciate that she sent updates in the early morning hours so I received them while I awake, given the time difference.”

“Elizabeth was amazing with my dogs Bucky and Max. She sent multiple photos everyday with updates, which was awesome to see! She stayed in communication throughout their stay with her and her husband! Will definitely use again and highly recommend!!”

“Elizabeth and Richard were so great with Jett. It was our first time leaving her and they made her feel comfortable and safe. Jett came home a happy tired girl. Thank you.”

“This was my first experience with Rover and it was a wonderful one! Monica made me feel at peace sending me videos and pictures of my boy. She even offered to keep him so I could avoid driving through snowy conditions. Thank you again so much Monica I look forward to using you soon.”

About: I am a reliable, loving dog and cat owner dedicated to providing a relaxed, safe environment for my animals. I have two 4-yr old Doberman mixes I adopted from Saipan, a sister and brother: Ruby and Charlie. I also have a 2-yr old rescue cat, Ollie. My dear Bichon, Hubie, passed last year, but I took care of him for 6 of his golden years! Therefore, I’m capable of taking care of dogs from under 1 yr to senior age. I’m also comfortable feeding them and providing medication if needed. Finally, I have the closest emergency vets mapped on my phone if the unfortunate need should arise. I have a job that requires I work on-site two days a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, I am free MWF, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. Provided I am given a week’s notice, I can offer overnight boarding from Friday to Monday evening. I understand most dogs don’t do well with being alone during the day. And it is stressful trying to find someone kind and responsible to be there for your pup. When I became a brand new pet owner in 2019, I remember how nervous I was looking for a trusted sitter to care for my Bichon, Hubie, while I was at work. I thankfully found a great one and I’d like to provide that same assurance to others. I can provide companionship with love and belly rubs, play via a fenced-in backyard, and fellow doggy playmates. Of course, I’d need to ensure your critter gets along with my brood before taking them on. :) I walk my dogs at least twice a day so they get plenty of exercise. If you have a small senior dog who needs fresh air, I’m fine to carry them in a backpack or push them in a stroller. :) And if they’re comfortable in the car, I can walk them at the park!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wake Forest
Kerri was amazing for us with our doodle puppy in a last minute booking. She stayed in communication with us with lots of pictures and video. Maverick was taken care of just as well as he is at our house during his stay. Can’t say enough positive about this experience, which was our first with Rover and someone outside of our family keeping our dog.

Kimberly and Dustin were so welcoming and sweet with our dog sophie. We did have an unexpected emergency come up but they were super flexible and accommodating with the schedule that we were able to extend our boarding visit !We were able to get daily photos from them and many updates during the stay. We would highly recommend them and would use them again for any upcoming trips !

I honestly believe that Sharon gave Frankie more attention than I do. When I picked him up he was calm and ready to go home. But he was not anxious in any way. Sharon and I stayed in touch the whole time, and I was able to enjoy my trip, secure in the knowledge that Frankie was in good hands. Thank you Sharon, John
Stacey did an awesome job watching our pup! I know our dog was at ease & comfortable with her which was super important to us. She would communicate with us throughout the day & send us many updates which we loved. Our dog can be a handful meeting other dogs and isn’t the best on the leash but Stacey did great with her! She gave her lots of loves and cuddles too which was so appreciated while we were away. We will absolutely be using her again in the future!!

We love when Katie watches our doggie. We know she is well taken care of, comfortable, and gets lots of attention! Even when we have had to change our pets diet, or start new medications- Katie never misses a beat. We love getting picture updates when we are away. Thank you!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
