“Gracie loved socializing at Lorraine’s for the week while we were out of town. We appreciated the updates and videos. We will use Lorraine next time we are out of town.”

“Evan was fantastic with Jefe for his overnight stay. He was extremely communicative, friendly, and welcoming from the start, and he has an incredible farm property with plenty of space for Jefe to explore and enjoy himself. Evan sent updates throughout Jefe’s stay, which gave us complete peace of mind knowing he was happy and well cared for. His dog was also incredibly welcoming and seemed to make Jefe feel right at home. Jefe came home happy, relaxed, and absolutely exhausted from his time on the farm. He slept incredibly well that night, which is probably the best review he could give. We had a great experience with Evan and would absolutely trust him with Jefe again.”

“Hanna is the best. Gives us photos and videos and texts throughout the day to check in on our dog. Wouldn’t and couldn’t recommend anyone else. Thank you Hanna!”
“Jerry is the best! We left our sweet baby for a week - I was worried sick as it was the longest we’ve ever been without him. But Jerry gave me a piece of mind knowing my bubs was in good hands. He took such great care of him and got along great with his doggos. We will 1000% be using Jerry again in the future and you should too!”

“Couldn’t have asked for a better experience for me or my pup! Amanda was so accommodating and lovely to meet. She was so understanding of my pup’s little quirks and they had a great time together. Amanda was very responsive, easy and quick with communication and sent photos! I will definitely use her again!!”

“Gretchen took great care of Zari while I was out of the country. This was my first time leaving her for more than three nights and I was a little worried, but Gretchen’s meet and greet plan and drop off made it really easy. I would have appreciated a few more updates but I did appreciate that she sent updates in the early morning hours so I received them while I awake, given the time difference.”

“I loved all the updates and photos! They took such great care of my little guy while I was on a work trip. Definitely going to use you all again for future trips! Thanks 🙏”

“Words can not express how grateful I am for Marissa & Mosieo for taking care of our sweet Chyna!! They sent updates daily and communicated with us about Chyna activities each day along with pictures. Chyna love their home and they care they provided. This is our second time using their services and gets better each time. Really sweet family. We needed to extend out time being out flight was delayed and it was no problem! Very understanding! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!”

“Hilary took great care of my dog! She was very communicative and flexible when I need some scheduling changes as well. Will definitely be using her as a sitter again!”

“Mitzi was great! Our dog had so much fun at her house. It was so nice to get little updates and pictures while we were gone. We will definitely be booking with her again.”

“I cannot recommend Ashley and her girls highly enough- best dog sitters ever!! Arriving for drop off we were greeted with a custom welcome sign which was the sweetest thing ever. They took the such good care of our noodle we were worried he wouldn’t want to come home with us! Ashley and her girls made sure he felt right at home and I have no doubt he was sooo loved on. . They made sure he got ample play time and walks. They provided us with regular updates and photos. It was such a relief to know our pup was with a family that loved and cared for him like Ashley and her girls do! He will definitely be back!!”

“Sarah-Jane was wonderful with our dog for her 4 night stay. This was our first Rover experience and it couldn't have been better. Sarah-Jane was diligent with updates and photos. Most of the photos were of a sleeping dog which was proof of how comfortable she was there. I highly recommend and we will be using Sarah-Jane again.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Debra. My dog is a nervous, previously abused, shy girl. Debra took the time to get to know my dog so that she would feel comfortable in her yard (which is FANTASTIC and your dog won't want to leave). She sent pictures, videos, and kept in contact with me each day of Abby's stay in her home. Abby loves her dogs, I'm so happy she made new friends! You can tell Debra is very knowledgable about dogs. She takes the time to introduce the dogs to each other slowly and makes sure no one is aggressive. You won't be disappointed with Debra!”

“Andrea is a great sitter. She kept fluent communication with my husband and I and Pacho had fun with Andrea’s children. I do recommend her, and definitely we will use her again next time.”

“We love having Julie and RG as our sitters and our pup absolutely loves going to stay with them. She always comes back well exercised, happy, and sometimes even better trained! :) They are flexible and communicative and I trust them to make the right call when caring for our EarlGirl!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wake Forest
I can not believe our luck in finding Suzanne. She treats my pup like family. It's so great that she has children for my Buddy to play with. She goes above and beyond to understand your pet's needs and does everything she can to make their time away from home as comfortable as possible. She even took into account how Buddy likes to sleep, with me, of course. My only fear when I leave him with her and her family is that he won't want to come home.

Nicole is a true professional, and I was incredibly impressed with her from the moment I met her. She clearly has an extensive understanding of dogs, particularly canine behavior, temperament, and how dogs interact with one another. More importantly, she knows how to use that knowledge to create a safe, comfortable, and positive environment for every dog in her care. Her setup for the dogs is fantastic, and it was immediately obvious to me that she has put a great deal of thought into their safety and well-being. She also just has a wonderful, calm, confident vibe—the kind of person you feel comfortable trusting with a dog you love. Nicole kept in touch with me while Dharma was staying with her and made sure I knew she was safe, happy, and in very capable hands. That peace of mind meant so much to me. I would absolutely trust Nicole with Dharma again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to board their dog. She doesn’t simply “watch dogs”—she understands them, and that makes all the difference.

Stacey was wonderful with our dog! She watched her for 5 nights and did a fantastic job. Stacey kept us updated at least once a day and sent lots of pictures of them enjoying different activities together. It was so reassuring to see how happy and well cared for our dog was while we were away. We really appreciated the communication and care she provided, and we would definitely use Stacey again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
