“Amanda and Kevin were great sitters for our Roux. They welcomed her like one of their own and made her feel right at home in their home and with their family. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others and will definitely use them again.”

“Paige was available to board my Husky pup "Kai" at the last minute over the 4th of July weekend which was extremely helpful. She was very accommodating and gave Kai lots of attention. Paige also sent updates and photos throughout the weekend which was fun! Kai had a great visit and was pretty whooped when I picked her up at the end. I would recommend Paige and would absolutely use her again.”

“Denise & Oscar were so wonderful with our lab, Jax! They sent pictures and updates the entire weekend. Jax didn’t want to leave their house when it was time for us to pick him up! 💙💙”

“Gretchen is Wonderful! I was not sure what I was going to do because the usual sitter was not available. From the meet and greet and forward, Gretchen made me comfortable as I watched her with her dogs and mine. My pup is tiny so I am always cautious when he is with larger dogs which hers were under 40 lbs but my pup is only 9 lbs and he is a senior dog. Gretchen communicated well and provided excellent service! Her family was good with my pup. I can’t express how grateful I am to have found Gretchen! She is Outstanding!”

“Mary took such amazing care of our pup Rocky while we were on vacation—she kept us consistently updated with sweet photos and messages, which gave us total peace of mind. She made sure he got plenty of walks and even let him run wild in her backyard, which he absolutely loved!”

“Bailey was amazing to work with drop off and pick up was easy. Communication was well. We love the pictures that she sent and we love that she did everything. She said she would do our puppies came home happy and we love that.”

“Cris and Katty have been lifesavers. Mia had a fantastic time at their home and they took great care of her. We have had several travel issues and canceled flights due the storm. They’ve been super accommodating and helpful and offered to keep longer than expected.”

“Jill and her family have watched our pup a couple times now and they are absolutely fantastic. They treat your dog like it's their own, and their pup Carolina got along with ours super well. They have a large and safe yard for the dogs to play in and we get plenty of updates. We'll definitely be boarding with them again!”

“A great space place for my dog! We were visiting family in the area and needed an out-of-town boarder. Monica as very pleasant and when I had to leave a day early she was accommodating. Left her the day's pay as a tip - no problem!”

“We had a great experience boarding our dogs with Dominique. She was very attentive to their needs. It is a relief to know your leaving your dogs in good hands!”

“Our pup had the best time! Communication was great - we received photos and update daily. It was fun to see how much fun our dog was having while we were gone. He came home happy and tired from all the playing. We will definitely be using Martine and Ronald again next time when we need care. I couldn't have asked for a better, more caring home for our dog while we were gone.”

“Brandi and John did a wonderful job and kept me updated throughout the whole stay. My pup had a great time and I was also able to relax knowing she was in great hands. Thank you!”

“Hanna is the best. Gives us photos and videos and texts throughout the day to check in on our dog. Wouldn’t and couldn’t recommend anyone else. Thank you Hanna!”
“My puppy had so much fun with Greg and Julie! They treated him so well while I was away for a week and sent pictures and updates. I will definitely check with them again if I need someone.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Youngsville
Baxter enjoyed his time with Kerri and her family. It was his first time away from home and she kept me updated with pictures and videos. Nice big fenced in back yard for playtime and that was important as Baxter is an Aussie who just celebrated his first birthday on pick up day.

Kimberly and Dustin were so welcoming and sweet with our dog sophie. We did have an unexpected emergency come up but they were super flexible and accommodating with the schedule that we were able to extend our boarding visit !We were able to get daily photos from them and many updates during the stay. We would highly recommend them and would use them again for any upcoming trips !

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
