About: I’ve had dogs for 15 years. I’ve watched and cared for dogs a lot. I want your pup to enjoy their time while you’re enjoying yours. We have a fenced in yard so your dog can be safely let out. I also have a dog of my own so am already on routine for morning / evening walks. Would love to hangout and spend time with your best friend. Me and my boyfriend are pretty flexible after work on weekdays and on weekends. We can curtail your dogs time with us based on what your dog enjoys! We love finding new walking trails, hanging at the house, etc. Just let us know what your pup loves and we’ll try our best to accommodate ! Weekly routine M- F: I am at work from 730-430 Sat-Sun: pretty much at the home most of the day. Can curtail my schedule to your pups needs! *if known ahead of time might be able to get off early on Friday for drop off! Me and my boyfriend love pets at our home and want to make sure they’re as comfortable as can be. We are both pet lovers and want to make sure your pup is happy while you’re away. Again please just let us know what makes your pup happy and we’ll try our best to ensure your dog has a great time while you’re away !
“My beagle, Aly, had a wonderful time with Michaela and her sweet doggie, Winnie. I received at least a couple of pics every day and a little note on how my girl was doing. I will be using Michaela again in the near future.”

“Mary took such amazing care of our pup Rocky while we were on vacation—she kept us consistently updated with sweet photos and messages, which gave us total peace of mind. She made sure he got plenty of walks and even let him run wild in her backyard, which he absolutely loved!”

“Malkin had a great stay with Laura! Laura was very communicative and was able to board our dog at the last minute. He came home happier than when he comes home from camp! Would book Laura again.”

“I can't say enough good things about Luis! He took amazing care of my dog while I was away. My pup usually gets a little anxious when I'm gone, but with Luis, he was calm and happy the whole time. Luis sent regular updates and pictures, which gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was in great hands. He truly goes above and beyond to ensure that pets are comfortable and well taken care of. I highly recommend Luis to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog sitter!”

“Nicole was a wonderful sitter for our Phoebe. Her home is a great setup for dogs. She communicated regularly with updates and pictures, and was very reassuring about our dog’s adjustment to her environment. Phoebe seemed happy and relaxed in her care.”

About: I've been a dog lover for as long as I can remember, and caring for dogs is something I truly enjoy. I had my own dog for the past eight years, and now that I'm an empty nester, I miss having a furry companion around. Spending time with dogs brings me so much joy, and I'd love the opportunity to give your pup the same love, attention, and care I'd give my own. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, including senior dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. I'm comfortable administering oral medications and understand the importance of sticking to routines to help pets feel safe and comfortable. Since I work from home, your dog won't be left alone for long periods of time. I'll be able to give them plenty of attention throughout the day, whether that's walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company. I know every dog has their own personality and needs, and I take the time to make sure they feel loved, comfortable, and right at home while you're away. I know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else because I've been there too. My goal is to make both you and your pup feel comfortable, so you can enjoy your time away knowing they're in good hands and getting plenty of love. I work from home, so I'm around most of the day and have a pretty flexible schedule. That means your dog won't be left alone for long periods and will have plenty of attention throughout the day. I actually enjoy getting outside for walks and having a dog to keep me company, so pet care fits really naturally into my routine. Whether your dog loves to play, cuddle on the couch, or just hang out nearby while I work, I'm happy to make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and right at home. I'll always do my best to stick to your dog's normal routine because I know how important that is, especially when they're in a new place. My goal is for you to feel comfortable leaving your best friend with me, and for your dog to have a fun, stress-free stay. I treat every dog like they are my own. I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet with someone else, so I do my best to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while they’re with me. I like to keep their routine as normal as possible, whether that means sticking to their usual feeding schedule, going on walks, giving medication, or just making sure they get plenty of attention and cuddles. I know every dog has their own personality and needs, so I take the time to get to know what makes them comfortable. Since I work from home, I’m able to be around throughout the day and give them lots of company. Whether your dog wants to play, relax nearby while I work, or just get some extra love, I’m happy to make them feel at home.
“Kayleen was so sweet and treated our dogs as if they were hers. She had great communication with us the whole time sending texts and pictures. We would highly recommend her and would love to have her as our sitter again.”

“She did a great job caring for my dog. She made her feel right at home. Would definitely recommend her, and hopefully in the future if i need a sitter again she will be available. Thank you Amanda!!!”

“Brianna C. Took excellent care of Nina. When I drop Nina off I know that she will be more than well looked after, she's going to have fun! Watching Nina play with new dog friends and enjoy her self eases my mind, making it so I can focus on my trip and not have to worry.”

“Another wonderful stay for Apollo with Tania. We missed him but I think he had so much fun that he was definitely not missing home that much. We really appreciate the care that Tania took of him and will definitely be using her again.”

Awesome as always. Stella had an amazing time, and she had thorough and attentive care for a minor medical issue she experienced during this stay. Couldn’t ask for her to be in better hands when this happened! I was informed every step of the way about what was going on, and Nickie took care of Stella like she was her own.

Sloane took wonderful care of Otis over the weekend, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She sent comprehensive updates and tons of pictures throughout the stay, which put my mind completely at ease. Otis had a blast playing with a Doodle, who was also in her care. He came home happy and clearly well cared for. Sloane was also incredibly flexible and easy to work with from start to finish. I'd highly recommend her and would book with her again in a heartbeat.

When I first saw Tammy's picture I was like she is a dog lover! And she was genuinely smiling and I was right. She is a sweet lady with a love for her animals. Thank you Tammy for taking care of our Bruce. He came back sweet and very mild tempered. We really appreciate you for taking him in on short notice when we left on our way to Tennessee for a few days. May your business boost tremendously and God bless you. It was a pleasure to meet you. 😊💖🐶

I chose Yuexin due to close proximity and also having a puppy the same age as my dog. I thought that she could provide the care and love that my dog gets at home plus having another dog friend. Yuexin was very responsive and sent updated pictures everyday per my request. I loved this because you always worry if your dog is adjusting well while gone for so long. She took great care of my dog and that gave me piece of mind. She had so much fun and immediately felt comfortable in her home. I would definitely use her again and recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
