“Erica took amazing care of our pup for six nights, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. She provided detailed daily check-ins with lots of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. You can tell she is a true dog lover and genuinely enjoyed spending time with our dog. Her kids were wonderful as well and clearly loved having our pup there. Our dog was absolutely spoiled with attention and care. We are so grateful to Erica and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter!”

About: After taking some time off from dog walking and sitting, I decided to come back. I have one sweet loving senior dog with kidney disease & an 8 year old to put through dance. A little about me, I have been around dogs for more than half my life. My first dog, Roxy, who was a 4lb chihuahua lived up to her 15 years of life and another chihuahua Mickey who lived to be 14 years old. I recently lost my sweet girl Holly who was a 14 year old Cavalier to heart disease. My current pups is a dachshund/ Yorkie named Audrey, who's one spunky diva, she is 16. Each dog has taught me a lot of patience, nurturing, love, and made my life a lot more happier than I could've ever imagine. They have traveled with me to every state up and down the east coast. We've lived in Miami, NY and now NC. I call them my circus of traveling companions. To some people dogs are just pets, to me dogs are my family. And that's exactly the care you'll get from me. Taking care of others pets is all I am doing for now. So know your dog/ cat will get one on one attention from me. Also, while house sitting my pups are well taken care of by my spouse. So there will be no interruptions over night. I will cater myself to my clients needs and do what makes them comfortable while in their home with their pets. Know that with my services, you will be receiving the same care I give to my furbabes.

“We recently used Diana and Jesse for a long weekend trip. They have a beautiful fenced In backyard. We received daily pictures and communications. Our dog came home calm and happy. We will definitely use them again.”

“Taylor was FANTASTIC. We had never left our dog with anyone besides family before so this was a big leap of faith. Our dog is super anxious and Taylor worked to make her comfortable. She was incredibly responsive and sent lots of updates. Definitely spoiled our girl.”

“Christina & Christopher cared for my dog for 3 weeks, the longest I have ever left her, and I felt very comfortable. They kept in good communication with comments and pictures and I especially appreciated that they were honest when I had any concerns. I would definitely recommend them!”

“Chelsie made our dogs feel at home, well cared for, and well loved. She sent pictures, kept us updated throughout their week + stay, and our dogs came home happy. Would be happy to work with her again! Thank you, Chelsie 😊”

“Kaitlyn was wonderful and I felt so comfortable leaving Roo with her. She has two adorable pups that he got to play with. She gave me updates and sent photos. Roo was a tired and happy boy when we picked him up.”

“Qian was a wonderful sitter for Rocky! She provided great care and consistently sent us pictures and videos of our happy boy. We would absolutely recommend her and will use her again in the future.”

“Our boxer-mix, Bella, just spent two great weeks with Tugce and family. We could see in the photos that Tugce sent that Bella was very comfortable with them. And importantly to us, Bella got along well with their young son. It was clear that the whole family took care of Bella. We are happy to recommend Tugce as a sitter and will use her in the future.”

“Sammy had a wonderful visit with Vanessa! She sent lots of cute pics and was very flexible with drop off and pick up. Thank you for taking such good care of our boy!”

“Desire was wonderful with our dog! She was super nice, flexible, and took such great care of him. She kept us updated and sent us pictures. We would absolutely have Desire stay with him again and highly recommend her!”

“Kristen and her family took wonderful care of our Dashi! She’s very responsive and provides frequent photos. Dashi was happy to see us, but we could tell that she was well cared for and content. She had a great time playing with Bentley and other friends!”

Archana took wonderful care of our two Doodles while we were gone. She made sure they were comfortable, had a lot of play time, plenty of breaks and walks, and sent lots of updates that we loved. Archana is a wonderful sitter and we would highly recommend her and hope to stay with her again!

Tim, Alison, and their kids took the best care of my pup Riv! I was extremely nervous because I’d never left Riv with anyone before. Almost immediately, my mind was at ease and I knew Riv was going to be well taken care of. They treated him as if he was a part of their family - that’s the highest compliment I can give! I’ll definitely be choosing Tim and Alison every time we need care for Riv moving forward.

Nazneen took excellent care of our cat Amelia while we were away on vacation and gave us complete peace of mind knowing Amelia was in good hands. Nazneen was attentive, caring, and kept us updated throughout our trip. Amelia was happy and well cared for when we returned, and we really appreciated how dependable and thoughtful Nazneen was. We would absolutely recommend her and book her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
