We’re so grateful for her animal loving heart!”

About: All four of us are animal people. We’ve had our own dog for six years, and cats our whole lives. I also have experience working in a veterinarian’s office, and my husband and I both have lots of dog-sitting-for-friends experience. Currently, we are two teachers looking to supplement our income and help out others. We are caring, responsible people who won’t leave you hanging. We’ve boarded our own dog through Rover in the past and know you might want frequent check-ins or photos. We’re here for you! During the summer, we’re home! Your pet will have lots of yard time and walks if you prefer. We have two older kids (11 and 14) who will NEVER be responsible for your pet, but will supplement their care, socialization, and playtime. We also have a corgi who loves to play, but we can keep her separate from your pup if desired. There are four people here who love animals! We will care for your pet like they were our own. Pets are allowed on the furniture and beds in our home, but we will follow your rules if that’s a no-no for you. We want to make sure your pup feels at home and comfortable, and that you feel comfortable with your pet in our care!
“We couldn’t have asked for a more kind host for Rocky. We got daily updates and a ton of pictures and videos which was so comforting for our kids. Rocky thoroughly enjoyed his stay and was very well taken care off. We will definitely use Camila and Lino again in the future.”

“Sarah was amazing with my dog Barron, she made sure he was comfortable and having fun the whole time. I appreciated the many updates (pictures and videos) she shared during his stay, too! I hope to get in her books again in the future. Thanks!”

“Romel was quick and easy to communicate with. We did a meet and greet at a dog park beforehand, and my dog seemed to be very happy and well taken care of for the week. Thank you!”

“Jade was great again! We navigated having some overlap with another guest and spent time getting the dogs comfortable with each other. I appreciated her thoughtfulness to call it out and spending extra time to do so.”

“Mason loves his time with Hope! He is so well cared for and loved like her own. He plays like a puppy, but is an older dog so she also takes care of his daily medicine. He loves his walks on the trail. Hope always sends over great pictures and keeps us updated. I’m sure he will be back again soon!”

“My dogs had such a great time and were very well cared for. They were so tired when they came home! She sent regular updates and some great pictures and videos. A fantastic stay!”

“Qian did an amazing job taking care of our dog! She sent daily photos, videos, and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She made sure all of his needs were met, including feeding, grooming, and taking him on walks two to four times a day. What we appreciated most was how responsive she was whenever we reached out. It was clear that she genuinely cared for our dog and treated him like her own. We would absolutely recommend Qian to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive dog sitter!”

“Adrian was amazing!!! Truly went above and beyond for Shadow. Great communication, lots of photos, and Shadow even came home with a bath and a bandana! Shadow was thrilled that he got to go on so many walks and got to meet and play with so many friends too.”

Agus was a life saver. Not only was he very caring with my dog, but a family member had an emergency while we were out of town and Agus graciously picked up her dog, took care of her for several days, and returned her to her owner, all on a moment's notice. So grateful!!!

Naotake took great care of Monny while we were away. He was very thoughtful, communicative, and kept us updated throughout her stay. Monny can be a picky eater and is sensitive to heat, but he paid close attention to her needs and made us feel at ease. We especially appreciated his kindness and the detailed updates. We would definitely trust him with Monny again. Highly recommend!

Ashleigh and Jason were amazing! My sweet Izzy was taken into their home like a member of their own family. It was her first stay with them and they made me feel at ease providing updates and sending pictures regularly. When I picked her up I could tell immediately that she was happy and so well loved and taken care of while I was away. Highly recommend Ashleigh and Jason, Izzy will be back with them in July for our next vacation!

Gregg has been our favorite pet sitter during our time in NC. He is very professional, and his house has a beautiful and big fenced yard in a quiet area. We reliably received happy and fun pictures of Molly while we were away and that gave us peace of mind. I can’t recommend Gregg enough!

Emily and Lamar were amazing! They took great care of our little guy and he has an absolute blast. They kept us informed and updated the entire stay with pictures and messages. We really appreciate them and can’t wait to book with them in the future. Would highly recommend to anyone!

My dog, Lyla, had a great time with Nate! He was prompt with communication both before and during Lyla’s visit. He sent frequent photos and updates of my pup’s adventures. Also, he kept me informed about how she was settling in and adjusting during her stay. I hope Nate is available the next time I need a dog sitter; I know that Lyla would be happy to return!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
