“Bubba had an amazing time with Adrien and David!! We were worried as first time, dog owners and with her being so young (10 weeks), but they made her first experience at doggy daycare seamless! Could not recommend them more highly!”

“I had such a great experience with Evie and Fritz! My dog Miso was so happy and well cared for, and I really appreciated the updates and photos I got throughout the day. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. I would definitely book again and highly recommend!”

“Shannon did an incredible job taking care of our pup, Theo, for multiple daycare stays. She kept me updated with how he was adjusting + the best pictures/videos, shared homemade treats, and took him on regular walks. I appreciated that she works from home and could quickly tell she’s a natural dog person who just gets it. Not to mention her home is a dog’s paradise with a large fenced in backyard, gated front porch away from a main road, and the sweetest easy-going dogs of her own that welcomed Theo with open paws. I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook with Shannon & would whole heartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter. I truly felt like she treated Theo as her own 🩵”

“My 8 yr old husky mix has never had much luck socializing with other dogs until we met Cynthia and her sweet labs. We could tell pretty early on that Cynthia seemed to understand Juno’s issues and we could also see how well dogs respond to her energy and directions. Juno had her first successful play date all because of Cynthia’s patience, kindness and understanding . She cares for others’ dogs as if they were her own (including plenty of love, adventures and treats!) We feel lucky to have Cynthia help us as much as she helps Juno.”

About: We have had dogs in our family for years. I have all the basic experience of taking care of a crate trained dog. We also had a high energy Australian shepherd that had to go boot camp a few times…that being said I understand their training is very important to keep up so I am open and receptive to all their training and dietary needs. I am available through August most days. I am a school teacher so once the school year starts up I will be available for afternoon drop ins or boarding etc. With all the instructions you provide me for them and exceptional love and care. Furry friends deserve to feel comfortable too. I will take any crates, beds, toys etc. that they need and try to keep them on their routine as close as possible.

About: Growing up with parents that loved to pick up strays my love for animals came naturally. I grew up taking care of dogs and cats from all different shapes and sizes. My favorite lesson in life is that a man’s best friend is their pet. I want to help pet parents take the best care of their best friend while they are away! I am currently in college taking evening classes so i have my whole morning off to spend with your furry friends!! I enjoy going on nature walks and nothing would make me happier then to have your furry friend accompanying me I enjoy taking dogs to doggy parks or nature walks. Every dog is different so not all walks look the same. I like to encourage exercise and play time in my time with them as well as some downtime and bonding.

About: Hi! I'm a full time stay at home mom of two kids and a pet parent of two furry family members, Togo (our beloved dog) and Ninja our cat. Animals are a huge part of our everyday life and I know how important it is to find someone reliable and caring to look after your pet because I want the same level of care for my own. I've always loved animals and caring for them has naturally become part of my everyday life. Along with several years of dog walking and pet sitting experience, I volunteer with local dog shelters where I've successfully completed different training programs in dog behavior, safe handling and basic obedience. I'm comfortable working with dogs of all sizes including rescue dogs who may need extra patience and love. Since I'm home full time your pet gets lots of attention throughout the day, frequently potty breaks, playtime, walks, cuddles and lots of love. I stick closely to routines, follow your instructions and pay attention to body language so your pet feels safe and comfortable. I love sending photos updates and messages so you can see how things are going while you're away. My goal is simple: give your pet loving, reliable care and treat them like part of our family. I'm currently a stay home mom of two kids (10 and 13) and our two furry best friends Togo and Ninja. I'll have plenty of time to spend with your pets and give them the attention they need. I have a big fenced yard and a gentle, funny and loving dog, Togo and our cat Ninja who likes to sleep all day long!

About: Hi! My name is Emily, and I’d love the opportunity to care for your dog! Growing up, I helped care for my family’s two Goldendoodles, Zoey and Bella. During college, I also fostered several dogs, from puppies to seniors, which gave me experience with dogs of all ages, personalities, and needs. I’m comfortable caring for dogs with medical needs and administering medications when necessary. I’m currently a graduate student at UNC Chapel Hill with a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pup the attention and care they deserve. I’m detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable following specific routines to ensure your dog feels safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. As a graduate student with a flexible schedule, I’m able to build pet care into my daily routine through walks, outdoor time, and regular check-ins. I enjoy staying active and would love to provide your dog with a consistent routine while you’re away. I’m happy to provide care in my home or yours. I have access to plenty of nearby trails and outdoor spaces for walks and exercise while also being comfortable following your pet’s routine in their own home.
About: I am an experienced, attentive, and responsible pet care-giver providing peace-of-mind and a calm environment where your fur-baby can relax while you are away for work or travel. I grew up loving and caring for every kind of pet you can imagine and I have 18 years experience caring for cats. I also have 10 years experience caring for a cockatiel and I love parrots. I work from home and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I can host pets in my home and can also visit your home for pet care during weekend days and in the evening. I live in a townhome neighborhood with lots of room to walk and a green space in the back. I work at a computer and take regular breaks to move around and check on my cat and other pets that I am hosting. I usually sit on the floor while I work so dog friends and other cuddly pets can sit near me if they want and get pets and attention any time. My space is clean and calm with room for pets to move around freely or rest on a comfy couch or pet bed.
“Yesel was wonderful! Our dog had a great time with her and her sweet dog Ripley. She was also super flexible and understanding with coordinating pick-up and drop-off plans when we ran into some scheduling issues with our house sitter. It was clear that she was experienced and comfortable with dogs and caring for them. We will definitely contact her again!”

Monny had a great first daycare experience! Thank you for taking such good care of her and for keeping me updated throughout the day. I really appreciated the photos and communication. Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Chapel Hill commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
