Medical Student Who Loves Your Pets

I have had dogs in my life since I was two years old, and caring for animals has always been second nature to me. As a medical student and longtime animal foster, I bring a thoughtful, attentive approach to every pet I care for. I have volunteered extensively as a foster for dogs and cats of all ages, from young puppies and kittens to adult and senior pets, including those who need extra patience and structure. I have hands-on experience with basic puppy training such as potty training, crate routines, and early behavior shaping, as well as working with mildly reactive and timid dogs who thrive with calm, consistent handling. I am also comfortable providing medical support, including post-spay and neuter care, post-amputation recovery, medication administration, and close monitoring during healing. My goal is always to create a safe, steady, and loving environment where your pet feels secure and genuinely cared for.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets, I tailor my approach to the individual animal and the environment, whether in my home or the client’s home. For visits at your home, I follow your routines for feeding, walking, play, and rest, and I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and comfort level. In my home, I provide a calm and safe space with plenty of enrichment, social interaction, and structured care. I have no other animals or children in my home, which allows me to give each pet my full attention. I am experienced with pets of all ages and temperaments, including shy or timid animals, and I can provide medical support such as administering medications or monitoring recovery from procedures. My goal is always to ensure your pet feels secure, happy, and cared for while you are away.

Larissa was on time every time. My dog loved her and, after the first walk, was waiting at the door for her at least 30 minutes in advance. Larissa is trustworthy and made my dog's life more exciting at a time when I couldn't walk him myself. I highly recommend her.

Drop-In Visits • May 04, 2026

This is our second time having Larissa watch our cat Electra, and I couldn't be any happier! Electra is very shy and doesn't normally warm up to people. But ut she warmed right up to Larissa and cuddled up to her. It was amazing!!! Larissa took great care of her and our home. I highly recommend her

Larissa is amazing with Marz, our 5 month puppy. She’s helped her develop confidence on walks, and was open to watching some short training videos we are using to help Marx develop loose leash walking habits. This shows up in Marz’s happy demeanor and leash comfort on walks. Larissa also plays tug and is a consistent communicator. Thank you for being such a good coach and kind companion for Marz!

Larissa made our little guy feel right at home! She watched our pup for a few hours so we could check a couple attractions out while in SA! Her questions before meeting and open communication put us right at ease. We would highly recommend her services.

Schedule

As a medical student, I have a fairly flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate consistent time and attention to the pets I care for. I can accommodate regular walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care, and I am happy to work with your specific needs and routines. Pet care fits naturally into my day, and I make sure each visit is calm, attentive, and tailored to your pet’s personality and energy level.

Before caring for a pet, I like to gather as much information as possible to ensure their safety and comfort. Please let me know about any special needs, medical conditions, or medications, as well as behavioral traits such as reactivity, guarding tendencies, or fearfulness. I also appreciate details about leash walking abilities, favorite activities, and anything else that helps me understand their personality and routines. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can provide attentive, safe, and enjoyable care tailored to your pet.
