“Bailey is a super sitter for sure! On first meet she came ahead of time to ensure our pup was familiar with her and she knew where everything was. She’s amazing with our Rottie, who’s a huge gentle giant that demands lots of love and kisses. She took him to play consistently and ensured he had everything he needed while we were gone. Very mindful and kind sitter. Would absolutely recommend.”

“Charles did a wonderful job of caring for our two cats during our week and a half long trip! He sent lots of photos and updates each visit with descriptions of the cats’ demeanor, eating habits and bathroom habits which gave us lots of peace of mind. They also got lots of playtime! Charles was adaptable when one of our cats had to start medicine mid trip and we knew they were in great hands.”

“Alissa was awesome and incredibly thorough. She promptly provided updates and a detailed summary of how my baby was doing. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants peace of mind when leaving their pets behind. She took excellent care of my pet, and I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again.”

About: I've been pet sitting for neighbors, friends, and family since I was 16 and have been around dogs my entire life. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, and other pets of all ages and personalities. I have volunteered with animal rescues since I was 12, fostered numerous dogs and cats, and am comfortable providing basic medical care, including oral medications, eye drops, injections, and subcutaneous fluids when needed. I treat every pet like my own and focus on keeping them happy, safe, and comfortable while you're away. Whether your pet needs lots of playtime, extra patience, or specialized care, I'm dependable, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I'm currently taking online classes during the summer, which gives me a flexible schedule to care for your pets. In the fall I will be returning to in person classes, however my schedule will still allow me to be a reliable care giver for your pets and satisfy all of their needs! I understand that trusting someone with your pets and home is a big decision. I treat every home with respect and follow your pets routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable while you're away. I am experienced in administering oral medications, eye drops, some injections, and fluids when needed. Whether your pet loves to play, needs extra patience, or requires special care, I'll provide reliable, attentive care and keep you updated with photos and messages throughout each visit.
“Rosa dropped in and walked my anxious dog during the day while I was out of town. She sent detailed updates after each drop in, which eased my mind as I was far from home. She followed all instructions perfectly. I would absolutely reach out to Rosa again in the future.”

“Aspen did an amazing job taking care of our cat while we were on vacation! She was reliable, attentive, and went above and beyond by bringing in our packages and taking out the trash. We came home to a happy cat and a spotless house, which made settling back in so much easier. It’s clear she genuinely cares, and we’re so grateful for her help. Highly recommend!”

Ria did a great job taking care of Stormy. she handled all the feeding and enrichment tasks perfectly. She was able to quickly establish a good rapport with Stormy, which makes all the difference in the world. She was punctual and sent me session reports and photos after each visit. I highly recommend Ria for any cat-sitting task. Her approach is friendly, thoughtful, and professional.

Great experience! Alissa is very responsible, caring, and wonderful with my cat. She always kept me updated after each visit and let me know how everything was going. I felt very comfortable knowing my cat was in good hands while I was away. Highly recommend her!
Meaghan was amazing - I made a scheduling mistake with my initial booking and Meaghan was responsive and incredibly helpful when she discovered it. Everyone was happy and well cared for when we got home. I was a first-time Rover user with this booking and I'll be looking for Meaghan every time now.

Kim did a great job for our pup Willow during some midday drop-in visits! We planned a meet & greet up front to go over details & options, which was helpful for all parties to get to know one another. Her visits were a huge help to us during some long work days, and Willow definitely looks like she had fun from the pics. Will definitely book with Kim again!!

Absolutely above and beyond! We booked last minute as our neighborhood sitter had to travel. Rosa was so attentive and communicative and always kept us updated. She sent amazing photos and gave great report cards. I feel like we got a bargain as she did SO much more than we were expecting and even helped us out in areas we had been ignoring ourselves (like cat vomit under the bed). She is truly a star of this app and we can’t wait to work with her again!

Samantha was very responsible and communicative. She documented her visits with my cat and, according to the pictures she sent me, my ktty looked very happy. Sam also gave my cats her meds and reported on her condition and behavior. This was very comforting since I am currently traveling. I warmly recommend Samantha.

Natalie was GREAT!! Our cats LOVED her, probably more than they like us even! She was able to coax our very curmudgeonly elderly cat out from her hiding place and interact with her on each of the home visits! Natalie took great photos and shared pertinent and expansive notes about her home visits, too, which put us at ease as we vacationed. Would definitely book again! (Oh, and she brought in our delivered packages while we were away, without prompting, which was much appreciated!)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
